
BMW to Expand in US and China for a 2-Million Units Plan in 2014
The BMW German based car manufacturer is on a continuous change, with plans concerning its expanding plants in the US and China for a production capacity of more than 2 million units in 2014.
The BMW`s plans come after last year, when the luxury automaker managed to sell a world record of 1,96 million units, with 1.66 million cars of its own brand, 305,000 MINI or Rolls-Royce`s 3,630 units.

Put it differently, the BMW managed to raise the overall sales worldwide with around 6.4 percent last year, outrunning Audi, the second largest premium automaker.
Norbert Reithofer, Chairman of the Board of Management at BMW stated at the Annual Accounts Press Conference in Munich yesterday, that the company is aiming to raise its sales for the year 2014, with an all-time overall 2 million units to be sold.
In the US, the BMW is expected to expand production capacity at its base plant situated in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with the manufacturer to sell 300,000 last year.
In China, Reithofer mentioned that the German plant will exceed its demands, since last year they managed to build also around 300.000 units, promising to be more demanding with plans to exceed 400.000 cars in 2014.
