2014 BMW X5 M50d officially introduced
The Germans at BMW officially unveiled the 2014 X5 M50d, a diesel model based on the new-generation of the Bavarian SUV.
Under the hood we find a 3.0-liter tri-turbo unit producing 381 horses and 740Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends the power to the wheels enabling the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5,3 seconds.
The main technical features of the BMW X5 M50d include the Adaptive M Suspension system, Dynamic Performance Control and an optional Dynamic adaptive suspension. Fuel economy figures are rated at 6,7 liters/100km or 42,2mpg UK with CO2 emissions of 177 g/km.
The high-performance diesel model is going to hit the European dealerships in mid-November. Sadly for US customers, the new BMW X5 M50d is not going to reach the States, even though, somehow funny, the model pictured above is fitted with American plates.
Pricing details for the 2014 BMW X5 M50d will be released very soon.
