I was never really a big fan of waiting about for various releases and such so this announcement coming out ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show is really up my street.

The Bavarians we all love are the ones who’ll be bringing an interesting concept to the plate, it’s a coupe variation of their i3 eco city car.

This is what we’ve heard of being referred as the BMW i4 or that new concept that was bound for an LA debut.

Now that we’ve established the German company kept its word and that the i4 is not a completely surprising idea, we can get down to admiring it.

It is not that much different from the version with extra doors but boy can it deliver the goods. All those little changes sum up.

Making it lower, a bit wider and cutting back on the number of doors seems to have infused some more aggressive spirit to the electric vehicle.

Speaking of which, the electric motor is the only powerplant present in this new car. That could be because BMW are shying away from the plugin hybrid version of the i3.

If that’s not the reason, then there’s a fairly good chance that it’s because the Los Angeles crowd might be more enthusiastic about the all electric idea than a plugin hybrid.

Just because BMW is now differentiating the sedans and coupe models in its family even more doesn’t mean they’re about to betray their development for some good press are they?

It’s no longer news to talk about BMW’s plans for finally bringing the X1 over the Atlantic. Just how ambitious that plan is this time is quite the different story.

The New York Auto Show unveiling of the facelifted version is a given. That’s the version that’ll hit the U.S. market and they’ve even determined when.

Usually when a car debuts at a car show, it’s customary for it to hit the market some six months later. Not this time though.

The 2013 BMW X1 will be in US showrooms as early as this summer. It’s a rather ambiguous term but it does mean that the launch will happen considerably earlier than the six month norm.

Though it’s appreciated, let’s not forget that the BMW X1 has been delayed for the US market so many times before that plenty of people will have certainly lost interest.

At least we can now put this “unfair” situation behind us and us annoying Europeans won’t have anything to lord over the consumerist Americans.

Or do we have something called the M Performance diesels? I suppose we do. Actually, we have just about all diesels since the 2013 X1 will not get them stateside either.

Still to be confirmed but most bets like on the Yanks receiving the N20 turbocharged four cylinder engine.

It may not be the most glamorous powerplant around but it does develop 245 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and yet won’t chew through fuel. Well at least it won’t do so like other American vehicles.

As I previously told you earlier this day, now I’m going to tell you more about the BMW products that are going to be released at the 2010 New York Auto Show which as I said, it is going to happen between the April 2nd and 11th so there is few time left until then.

You should remember that the 2011 BMW Alpina B7 comes with a twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 engine which is going to develop up to 500 horsepower and also a maximum torque of 516 lb-ft so there will be a lot of power happening under the hood of this big car.

I think that for most of you, here it comes the most said part namely that the prices for the 2011 BMW Alpina B7 with the standard wheelbase are starting from $122,875 while the prices for a the 2011 BMW Alpina B7 with the extended standard base are starting from $126,775.

I guess that the 2010 New York Auto Show is going to become something very similar to the Geneva Auto Show because I don’t know if you remember but before the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, there were a lot of spy photos and videos and also a lot of official releases. If it’s not going to be exactly like this, at last it’s going to be very appropriate to it.

Some people were saying that BMW is going to explode at the 2010 New York Auto Show or much exactly, it is going to happen between April 2nd and 11th because there are a lot of other cars that are going to debut from BMW at that Auto Show.

I must say that there have passed a while from when I talked last time about a 5 Series built by BMW. Here we got some spy photos while the 2011 BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase Sedan was being tested on winter time as you can see in the spy photos that I have uploaded in this post.

We know that this 2011 BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase Sedan will come with a 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine which may be considered a big engine but there will also be a 4.4 liter V8 turbocharged engine which is much more powerful than that one.

Anyway, you may still consider those engines very powerful but I tell you that such a big car really needs a big engine because just by looking in the spy photos that I have uploaded in this post you can notice how big can be this 2011 BMW 5 Series Long Wheelbase Sedan.

Phew, at last we stop talking about spy photos, pre launched photos and other things like this. These are the first photos that we post from the Geneva Auto Show and they are in high res mode and as you can see in the title, we’re talking about the BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid which is a concept at the moment.

This BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid Concept comes with a turbocharged inline-six engine and of course that it is combined with the part that makes it hybrid namely an electric engine which is able to develop up to 53 horsepower which is quite a lot but I also think that they need to upgrade these engines, I mean to learn to build much powerful electric engines.

These two engines are “controlled” by an eight speed automatic gearbox transmission. This BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid Concept will get with 10% more distance per gallon.

Here are some really cool high res photos with BMW CLR X650 M Lumma because they are revealing in a very cool way the exterior but also the interior and this car really exists in reality comparing to other tuning kits that are made only in the virtual space.

More exactly, this BMW CLR X650 M Lumma is going to be revealed at the Geneva Auto Show and I noticed a thing namely that a lot of cars are being revealed before the official launch and this time they are revealed before the launch at the Geneva Auto Show.

The original BMW X6 M was having a twin-turbo V8 engine which was able to develop up to 547 horsepower so after the tuning package, the power of that engine was upgraded to 641 horsepower and also a maximum torque of 612 lb-ft. also, the top speed of this BMW CLR X650 M Lumma is at 312 kilometers per hour.

It’s kind of funny if we have this because we just talked yesterday about some other news about this BMW 5 Series Touring namely that BMW won’t stop building this car or it will, but just in U.S. because they had few sales there. The Europeans shouldn’t worry about it.

If you were still not sure what to believe from the news that I wrote yesterday, I think now you should be sure that this car won’t stop being built. You may think that this spy video was taken a while ago but it’s not true, it was taken just with one month before the release at the Leipzig 2010 Auto Show.

As you can see in the spy video, there is not just one BMW 5 Series Touring, there are three BMW 5 Series Touring namely a blue one, a white one and a black one and both of them are barely camouflaged.

If someone would ask me my favorite ActiveHybrid after something like 6 months, it would probably be this BMW ActiveHybrid 5 because I love the BMW 5 Series but at the same time I love the hybrids built by BMW so this would be in the top of my favorite BMW cars.

I also know that there is just one week left until the release at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. I would also like to tell you that at the moment, this BMW ActiveHybrid 5 remains a concept comparing to BMW ActiveHybrid 7 or BMW ActiveHybrid X6.

People are expecting from this BMW ActiveHybrid 5 to come with a 3.0 liter turbocharged straight-six engine and of course that if it is a hybrid, that engine is combined with a 40 kW electric engine which makes this car to be a perfect city car but also a good car to travel with.
