Red BMW i8 Photo Session in UK

The BMW`s first and revolutionary i8 plug-in hybrid has been recently shot down in UK, while sitting quietly in a park lot. And this red finished one looks absolutely gorgeous, an occasion for a lot of passers-by to take a few snaps with it from different angles.

We have seen the BMW i8 before in other different exterior finishes, like yellow, orange or green and I have to admit that the red one is above all of them. It gives it a unique look and improved personality, without wearing any customization at the body or under the hood.

As a reminder, the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid is packing a 1.5-liter three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol unit, developing 231 horsepower, being backed by an electric unit that produces an additional 131 horsepower, at a topping of 250 km/h.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the BMW i8 is coming with just 2.7 L for every 100 km, while the CO2 emissions are standing at 66 g/km. More than that, the plug-in hybrid also has a 20 mile range.
