BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept and BMW M4 GTS Reportedly Heading to 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
BMW could not have missed the next month`s 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d`Elegance, the German carmaker secretly preparing two goodies for the event.
Previously rumored to bring along the 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept model, a report from Autocar has announced that the aforementioned model as well as a disguised BMW M4 GTS would head to Pebble Beach. As a reminder, the 3.0 CSL Hoomage Concept was also first seen at the 2015 Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este.
As already accustomed with, all BMW protoytpes ever presented at the Pebble Beach event in the past few years, have not led to a production series. However, this time, BMW is also reported to bring into production the new BMW M4 GTS, which is actually based on the M4 standard model.
The BMW M4 GTS might come with an upgraded 3.0-liter TwinTurbo six-cylinder engine along with the already previewed water injection system, enabling the model to reach a good 469 horsepower. Along with that, the M4 GTS will also sport a more aggressive and more aerodynamic body kit. The model will be also offered in the United States.
On the other hand, as expected, the more evolutionary BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage will never enter production, remaining in the state of a concept.
At the Pebble Beach event, the 3.0 CSL Hommage will highlight the already previewed high-tech and futuristic sports steering, along with a body kit consisting of a lot of carbon fiber components, as well as a 3.0-liter six-cylinder with an electrical turbocharger.
