BMW Dominates the 2015 World Car of the Year Awards Finalists

The 2015 World Car of the Year has recently announced the participation of one of the greatest cars ever built in the entire world, with five categories to be challenged: the World Car of the Year, the World Luxury Car of the Year, the World Performance Car of the Year, the World Green Car of the Year as well as the World Car Design of the Year. All five winners wil be announced at the 2015 New York Auto Show.

What is interestingly enough, is that the BMW German based carmaker is positioned first top amongst each category, accept for the 2015 World Performance Car of the Year finalists category, where the BMW M3 and BMW M4 are placed third, after Audi and Bentley.

But I guess that would not matter for the BMW carmaker, as it is more than certain that it will actually win almost every category at the 2015 World Car of the Year Awards. Please find below the complete list of nominees for each given category, to make a general clue on who BMW is takin on.

2015 World Car of the Year finalists

BMW 2-Series Active Tourer, Citroen C4 Cactus, Ford Mustang, Hyundai Genesis, Jeep Renegade, Mazda2, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, MINI 5-door, Nissan Qashqai, Volkswagen Passat.

2015 World Luxury Car of the Year finalists

BMW i8, BMW X6, Cadillac ATS Coupe, Cadillac Escalade, Kia K900, Lexus NX, Lexus RC, Lincoln, MKC, Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, Range Rover Autobiography Black LW.

2015 World Performance Car of the Year finalists

Audi S1, Audi S3, Audi TT / TTS, Bentley Continental GT Speed, BMW M4 Coupe / M3 Sedan, Corvette Z06, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, Lexus RC F, Mercedes AMG GT.
