Following a series of spy shots a couple of days ago, the all-new 2019 BMW X4 is back into the spotlights in a new batch of photos released by CarScoops magazine, just outside the company`s plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The new spy photos reveal a completely new X4 crossover, now more massive and more aggressive, thanks to the redesigned body style.

We already know that the carmaker`s new philosophy is building bigger and bigger models, and the 2019 X4 is no exception. It stands on the new CLAR architecture, also underpinning other high-end models like the upcoming X3, which means more lightweight materials that would shed off significant weight – 121 lbs in the case of the X4.

Visually, the model is enhanced with horizontal LED lights, a more aggressive front bumper with wider air intakes which now come with metallic accents. Other features up front also refer to the revised grille and modern headlights.

At the rear, the new X4 features slimmer taillights and sportier roofline. The entire design is complemented by the new wheels, much wider and providing better stance and grip.

Inside, even if there aren`t any spy photos to reveal the details, we should be able to find the same high-tech gizmos also implemented on the new X3 or 5-Series. Future info will be released at a later date.

Under the hood, the 2019 BMW X4 is likely to carry over the same lineup from the X3, including a wide range of petrol burners and diesels. We should mention here the petrol 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder with 260 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, or the 2.0-liter flat-four diesel with 190 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. According to the carmaker, a top of the line X4 M with 400 horsepower is also set to arrive later on.

It is now official news that the BMW German based automaker will start the production of the new-gen X6, at the company`s plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States.

The first X6 to enter production will be the Sophisto Gray xDrive35i, which will tweak a lot of goodies, especially black leather inside, being aimed for the Chinese market.

The president and CEO of BMW Manfred Erlacher, stated that the BMW X6 is a special symbol for the Spartanburg plant, as it has just turned 20 years of history production.

“The bold, new look of the second-generation X6 is a welcome addition to the plant’s X-model lineup”, Erlacher concluded.

The first-generation BMW X6 had astonishing sales, with almost 265,000 units to be sold around the world, as it is considered to be one of the most successful models of the company.

The next-generation BMW X6 will be mainly built in South Carolina, with distributions to be made worldwide, starting with 2016.

The BMW Group, which is the biggest luxury automaker in the world, has known a big success in the United States, with the two plants producing thousands of hundreds of vehicles year after year, while other automakers have not even exceeded their sales in their own countries.

With these plans to consider, the BMW automaker is planning to make the US plant one of the biggest in the world.

Erik Gordon, a professor at the University of Michigans`s Ross School of Business, stated that the plant in the US now produces extraordinary German cars at very reasonable prices.

“That led to a renaissance of car making, first in the southern states and then in Detroit itself,” Gordon concluded.

The factory from Spartanburg, North Carolina is in plans of expansions, with the BMW automaker to invest $7.3 billion in the near future, following a two-year plan of building new facilities, which will eventually lead to an increase in profitability.

On the other hand, the luxury automaker is quite hard on profitability in Germany, as the costs of energy and labor rules are quite difficult to deal with.

The BMW Group is planning to change marketing plans and wants to be more successful by taking the Mini vehicles to Mexico, where would increase production for the high demands in the US.

The BMW German based luxury automaker is already building the 1- and the 2-Series in Mexico, and seems this process has already been proven successful, the company is also thinking of building the Mini there as well.

The report of the company`s intention of bringing the Mini in the region has already been confirmed by BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer.

More than that, the report also indicates that the executives from BMW also favor Mexico, as “circumventing the import scenario would boost earnings margins”.

The BMW German based automaker is already ahead schedule and production at its plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

At Spartanburg, the BMW car maker has also increased annual capacity, in order to build the SUVs, targeting around 450,000 units to be annually sold in the US.

And since BMW is already preparing the launch of the first-gen X7, it would also be a good idea for the company to deal with the Mini in Mexico.

Recent reports from Reuters state that the BMW German based manufacturer is going to build the X7 crossover at the Spartanburg, in South Carolina.

The automaker will expand its plant, with costs to exceed several hundred millions. Thus, the BMW`s crossover lineup will be completed, with the X7 standing alongside X3, X5 and X6.

The Spartanburg was opened in the US in 1994, with the plant currently having more than 7,000 employees.

Norbert Reithofer, CEO at BMW states that the US market will remain the most potential market for the German automaker.

“This is why we are evaluating the possibility of increasing capacity in the U.S.,” Norbert continues during the BMW`s annual press conference in Munich.

The two German based luxury automakers, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are both planning to expand their portfolio of crossover luxury vehicles.

Thus, each of them will have been built around 7 vehicles by 2020, with a lot of entries concerning different sizes and prices.

More than that, Audi is also joining the battle with six new crossovers to put in line for the same period.

BMW has some great news coming from their plant in Spartanburg, S.C., USA. With the start of the new month so did the official production of the third generation X5.

Ever since 1999 and the first BMW X5 going off the assembly line, the Spartanburg plant managed to produce somewhere around 1.3 million units, and with the new generation here, that number is sure to grow.

There are some key features that distinguish the F15 BMW X5 from its predecessor. Apart from the obvious new styling, the F15 X5 will also get the choice of three engines from the get-go.

It also increase the efficiency with which it burns fuel, mostly thanks to features like Auto Start Stop function, ECO PRO mode including coasting function and Proactive Driving Assistant.

Something exclusive to the F15 BMW X5 is BMW’s own Active Steering, which brings boons to ride smoothness and handling. And for all the technological advancements, the X5 will also pass the Eu6 rating.

The first F15 BMW X5 unit to roll out the assembly line is a Mineral White M50d with a full Nappa Mocha leather interior.

It seems like BMW’s X3 is about to grab some extra attention relatively soon, particularly as far as the production process is concerned.

Not only that, but it will even be featured on TV, which strikes us as kind of odd, particularly considering how we haven’t heard anything new about the BMW X3 for around three months now.

The TV show isn’t really the news setting kind but one that wants to take an insight into the production techniques used by the Spartanburg employees in order to bring the F25 BMW X3 to life.

In case you haven’t guessed it by now, the show that will put the BMW X3’s production on TV is none other than National Geographic’s “Ultimate Factories”. A really fitting title for the Bavarian company’s products as they are still regarded as ultimate driving machines, despite new campaigns.

While they’re there, the Ultimate Factories will also be able to show you the later part of the multi-million dollar expansion BMW started at the South Carolina plant in September 2010. The expansion involves an enormous amount of effort and the addition of 1.5 million square feet of production space for the extended range of the BMW X3 F25 to be covered.

The new episode of Ultimate Factories featuring BMW’s X3 should air next month with the footage having been shot earlier in the year, in June and with editing well under way.

BMW’s Spartanburg plant hasn’t seen this much media attention since Marta Stewart went down there to see her own X3 roll off the production lines.

BMW’s SUV has just passed an important marker in the life of any car, the “first million” to be produced since the debut the X5 had back in 1999.

The “round figure” BMW X5 sold was an anniversary edition xDrive35i, featuring a sapphire black metallic finish with cinnamon brown Nevada leather trim for the interior.

The fabled vehicle, which is headed for a customer in China, rolled of the production line at BMW’s Spartanburg plant, which has been around for 15 years now and has played a huge role in the success story of the X5.

The X5, which is now being built in Spartanburg, U.S.A. and Kaliningrad, Russia, is now exported to more than 120 countries. A nice series of achievements but the one in the title is worthy so: Congratulations BMW X5!

As far as the Spartanburg plant is concerned, it’s business as usual, the X6 SAV also took birth there, the next generation of X3 will see birth there and there’s no telling what the future holds.

Throughout its life so far the BMW X5 has earned the following distinctions: “autonis” prize awarded by the trade journal “Auto Motor und Sport” for the most attractive design, Gold Award in the J.D. Power Study on customer satisfaction in North America and “Top Safety Pick” for outstanding crash test behaviour both in 2007 and 2008 from the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

BMW have officially launched the “The BMW Experience”, a special institution that will remind people why they are the best selling luxury company.

Access to such a treat as BMW offer in Munich is hard to find but you can get a totally different experience if you live in America that’s not in any way less interesting.

BMW are showing off their cars, their factory and pretty much every asset they have in Spartanburg County through special tours that can be taken individually or as a group where you get to experience “The Ultimate Driving Machine” in all of its aspects.

You can take a tour of the factory with a personal concierge, you can feast your eyes on the goodies within The BMW Performance Center and The BMW Zentrum while you’re at it. But if you feel that you have more of a get up and go attitude than there is a package that may interest you as well.

All the visits plus a 2-hour driving program which will put you through your paces towards becoming a person that can make proper use of a BMW. Future plans for this treat of an experience include adding to the offer of custom driving excursions, rare vehicle demonstrations and unique culinary events.

Even with the recession problems, BMW is willing to invest 750 million US dollars in extending the BMW Spartanburg plant.

The first actions will take place in 2010. This way, the BMW Spartanburg plant will be able to hire another 500 persons besides the 5,400 workers. With the new work force, BMW will produce 240,000 vehicles each year starting 2012, compared to the current production of 160,000 cars. In the same year, the new X3 will be moved for production at the BMW Spartanburg plant. AT the time, BMW keeps exporting their vehicles oversees and the export rate is currently at 70%.

Apparently, BMW won’t have any problems surviving the recession.
