Since the famous event taking place each year at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is partly sponsored by BMW, the German based automaker has decided to bring the 2014 M3 along for a little video show off.

The 2014 BMW M3 sedan show in the video is trying to demonstrate its performances by racing its engine to the full.

To be a reminder, the 2014 BMW M3 model was unveiled last year, being closely related to its M3 Convertible sibling, as well as with the M4 model.

As seen in the clip, the M3 is throttling its unit to the max, as it is based on the same 3.0-liter twin turbo straight-six cylinder, also seen on the M3 Convertible and the M4.

The engine produces a total output of 431 horsepower along with 550 Nm of torque, available between 1,850 rpm and 5,500 rpm.

The BMW M3`s unit is hooked to a 6-speed manual transmission or the optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

We can all agree that if you really want the best from a BMW model, it’s best that you grab the variant modified by the M Division.

BMW’s M cars have made quite a name for themselves, and for good reason, as the next video clip will demonstrate.

Being one of the first customers to receive the brand new F80 BMW M3, the owner of the beast presented in the video below shows us exactly what it can do when properly put through its paces. With the launch control activated, the owner steps on it up until he reaches 276 km/h before braking.

I have to say, it does reach that speed awfully fast thanks to the 3.0 liter twin turbo engine under the hood. The sound, a quite satisfying one at that, is actually being enhanced and played through the car’s audio system. Not many cars have such a feature, and while it will never be the same as a natural growl of a big engine, it does offer a decent soundtrack.

The Germans at BMW are making the final preparations for the new M3 debut. The F80 BMW M3 Sedan is going to be unveiled in world premiere at the upcoming North American International Auto Show next month.

The prototype below was seen on German streets and stands out thanks to the Mineral White exterior finish.

Power is provided by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine producing 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. The 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in 4,1 seconds when linked to a seven-speed M DCT transmission.

A six-speed manual gearbox is also available while the well-known M Driver’s Package will let the model hit a top speed of 280 km/h, 30 km/h more than the standard version.

As you probably know, the Bavarians will unveil the all-new BMW M4 as well at the upcoming 2014 NAIAS. Stay tuned for more details and live photos as the long-awaited event is just around the corner.

With the BMW M3 being a central product for the Bavarian car maker, it is no surprise that the successors to the model were two of the most anticipated models for year 2014.

And while BMW did present an M4 concept at Pebble Beach, people still had slight doubts that was the final, production version.

Well, now it is official, the German manufacturer has yet again kept true to their legacy and delivered the final product pretty much identical to the concept. And we have official photos to keep us busy until the unveiling; which is only one day away.

About the photos themselves, no surprise there. As you can plainly see, both the BMW M3 and M4 are awesome, real eye candy, with the only difference being the extra set of doors for the M3. As promised, BMW incorporated their pride and joy, the CFRP, a material developed and used extensively on their other new models, the i3 and i8.

The new BMW M3, known internally as F80, is getting closer and closer to the launch date. The high-performance German model is going to debut at the upcoming North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Today, we get a spy video showing the new M3 while exiting a parking space. Even the video is not high quality, we can get a better idea of how the 3.0-liter six-cylinder will sound like.

As a reminder, the new BMW M3 will use a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine producing 430 horsepower and 500Nm of torque. It will be linked to manual transmission or an M DCT gearbox.

The new six-cylinder engine that BMW decided to use on the new M3 is meant to offer good performance while improving the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 25%.

We will come back with more information as the 2014 BMW M3 starts to get revealed more and more.

A BMW M3 Sedan crashed today on the Nurburgring circuit in Germany during usual testing sessions. Powered by a serious 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine producing 430 horsepower and 500Nm of torque, the driver behind the wheel lost control crashing into the guide rail.

Fortunately, the driver walked out without any injuries even though the right part of the prototype suffered some damages, including the windscreen and side windows.

In terms of power, the new BMW M3 Sedan will share the same TwinPower Turbo engine with the M4 Coupe. This was confirmed few days ago by the Bavarian carmaker. They also said that fuel economy figures are improved as well as CO2 emissions by about 25%.

The new 2014 BMW M3 is expected to be revealed in world premiere in the coming months.

To be more exact, we expect a Geneva Motor Show debut in March next year or even a closer debut in early 2014.

Today we get an important piece of information on the 2014 BMW M3, a model which is scheduled to be unveiled somewhere next year.

According to BimmerPost, the new model will come with an improved total mass thanks to a series of carbon fiber parts such as the hood and roof.

Moreover, under the hood we will very likely see a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine producing more than 425 horsepower and 501Nm of torque. The same powerplant is rumored to be offered with the upcoming BMW M4 Coupe as well.

Power will be transferred to the wheels thanks to a standard six-speed manual gearbox while the seven-speed DCT transmission will be offered as well.

We find these details quite unsurprising as the debut date for the aforementioned models get closer and closer. Of course, we have no official confirmation from BMW yet but we doubt that this precious information is not based on some official specs.

Joining its bigger brother, the new BMW M3 hits the road for more testing prior the model’s debut at the upcoming North American International Auto Show, in January.

At the exterior, the German sports car comes with new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, a rear diffuser, a quad-pipe exhaust system, new wheels and side mirrors caps.

Power is expected to come from a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine producing around 420 horsepower. It is the same engine that will be fitted to the new M4 and will be linked to a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed M DCT gearbox.

BMW will improve the model’s total weight thanks to a carbon fiber roof while the hood and trunk will receive the same treatment which should cut about 100 kilograms.

Like we’ve told you above, the new BMW M3 is expected to make its official debut next year at NAIAS but for now, the German carmaker released no official details in this regard.

With all the hype going on about the imminent release of the new BMW 4 Series, other models seem to get a bit less screen time.

And although the 4 Series will have to live up to the legend the previous 3 Series Coupe created, so far it hasn’t let down.

But what about the rest of the 3 Series versions? With the new generation underway, BMW is losing the beloved naturally aspirated engines. In a recent video, the new F80 BMW M3 was caught on camera tearing through the Nurburgring. Under the hood it is most likely using an upgraded version of the N55 BMW engine.

Although this is not a naturally aspirated engine, it does come with the benefits of a turbo, and power will be somewhere around the 400 Hp mark. Besides the generous amount of ponies, the new generation of BMW 3 Series and the new 4 Series will also benefit from technology breakthroughs made in light materials while designing the i Series.

It seems that the upcoming BMW M3 may get a series of significant improvements compared to the outgoing model. Of course, expect to see improved performance and styling but also a better total mass as BMW plans to offer the new M3 with a lightweight roof.

The latest prototypes tested by the Bavarian company were almost entirely camouflaged, something which led us to think that the previous assumptions were right.

This means that we should expect a carbon fiber roof able to improve the total weight by about 100 kilograms.

Power will be provided by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo unit offering 450 horsepower and 550Nm of torque, making the 0-100 km/h sprint possible in around 4,7 seconds.

The all-new BMW M3 will be showcased at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show with deliveries to begin in 2014. Precise pricing and availability details will be released in the coming months.
