The 2013 Geneva Motor Show is one of the most excited motor shows this year. Almost all known and prestigious car brands present their new car models and concepts.

BMW is presenting their most awaited cars, but one of the most wanted isn’t here, the F80 BMW M3.

So, we can start by letting you know the models which are on the BMW’s scene from 2013 Geneva Motor Show: BMW 3 Series GT, E89 BMW Z4 Facelift, BMW M6 Gran Coupe, F13 BMW M6 Convertible, Alpina XD3 Bi-Turbo, Alpina B3 F30 BMW 3 Series, Hamann BMW M5 Mi5Sion, Hamann BMW M6 Mirr6r, ACSchnitzer F31 BMW 3 Series Touring M Sport Package and the last one, the F30 B36 MS Design.

Brief description of all BMW models from 2013 Geneva Motor Show:

BMW 3 Series GT

We have presented the BMW 3 Series GT (Gran Turismo) on February 8 this year.
The BMW 3 Series GT is longer than the BMW 3 Series Sedan and is the most spacious BMW 3 Series on the market. You can configure it in one of the following 3 design options: Sport Line, Modern Line, Luxury Line.

E89 BMW Z4 Facelift

The new BMW Z4, also named the E89 BMW Z4 LCI is the refreshed version for the normal E89 BMW Z4 which was officially launched in 2009. It was shown off in Detroit in January (2013), you can read the full article here.

The BMW Z4 LCI is presented in 3 colors: Grey metallic, Valencia Orange metallic and Glacier Silver metallic. The headlights and other elements were refreshed.

BMW M6 Gran Coupe

BMW is presenting their new BMW M6 Gran Coupe in Frozen Silverstone color at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

The BMW M6 Gran Coupe is powered with a 4.4 liter V8 engine which has an output of 550hp. It arrives at 60mph in 4.1 seconds. The sales will start probably after this summer.

F13 BMW M6 Convertible

Same as the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, the F13 BMW M6 Convertible is powered with the same engine, same power, and it is present at Geneva Motor Show in a beautiful color, San Marino Blue.

Alpina XD3 Bi-Turbo

Alpina XD3 Bi-Turbo is based on the BMW X3 SUV and it is the first time when Alpina has unveiled a SUV.

It uses a 3.0 liter 6 cylinder engine and a power of 350 horsepower.

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo F30 BMW 3 Series

Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo is a powerful car with 404hp and it has a good fuel consumption of 7,9 liters (100km).

Hamann BMW M5 Mi5Sion and Hamann BMW M6 Mirr6r

Hamann presents their new sport packages for the F10 BMW M5 and F12 BMW M6. The cars have suffered major modification inside and at the exterior with new aerodynamic elements.

ACSchnitzer F31 BMW 3 Series Touring M Sport Package

F31 BMW 3 Series is live at the Geneva with a new look created by the masters of ACSchnitzer. They have presented the M Sport Package for the F31 BMW 3 Series Touring.

F30 B36 by MS Design

The B36 version of MS Design is based on the F30 335i and its engine was upgraded to 360 hp and 400Nm torque.

Vorsteiner is a prestigious tuner and created some forged aluminum wheels officially presented on the new F12 BMW M6 Coupe.

F12 BMW M6 Coupe is a fast car because it wears a 4.4 liter V8 engine with an output of 555hp. Every man would like to own a car like this, but not everyone can afford it, so F12 BMW M6 Coupe remains a dream for everyone.

F12 BMW M6 Coupe’s acceleration is 4.2 seconds on 0-100km/h and has a top speed of 305 km/h. A very interesting option of F12 BMW M6 Coupe is the rear camera which is installed on the trunk’s BMW badge.

The folks from Vorsteiner offer the following wheels for the F12 BMW M6 Coupe: 21″ 11J rear wheels and 21″ 9.5 front wheels. Also, the tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

The wheels were very well drawn and designed by Vorsteiner to fit perfectly for F12 M6, which you will see in the images presented by the Vorsteiner tuner.

These guys are not messing around. After registering a great year in sales back in 2012 they’re simply looking to improve further in 2013.

After 2012’s 11% increase to a total of 1.85 million cars worldwide, the Bavarians are now targeting an even higher threshold.

This year has the promise of being a new record setter for them, building up on the momentum as well as the new products about to be introduced.

Throughout the group there’s bound to be quite a lot of releases, the F32 4 Series being the headline for me. The i3 eco-mobile is also bound to be coming about later in the year.

I was the one hoping for the new M3 and M4 coming in this year, but greed never really helped people since back in the eighties.

At least we can console ourselves with the fun promised by the new compact coupe in town, the F22 BMW 2 Series and its properly great fun in a petit package.

BMW sales and marketing boss Ian Robertson is also quite excited about the business perspective of the new year as BMW have opened up new plants and plan to ramp up production.

Breaching into new markets, building on a strong portfolio, increasing the marketing efforts is not only how they plan to take sales to a new level but also keep the competition at bay.

Audi and Mercedes are going stronger and stronger so staying one step ahead is probably as big a challenge as setting a new personal best.

It’s a pretty extensive list. In keeping themselves on top of the luxury market crowds, they’ve come up with so much three videos were needed.

The first one, as you could already see, tends to the new vehicles that were introduced throughout the year that has just ended.

The second video published by the Bavarians also speaks of ideas they’ve presented. This time however it’s the concepts and the design ideas behind them.

We’ve had two momentous celebrations, one for the BMW Z1 and one for the creation of the M division. Neither can be over-appreciated.

Like they say, 2012 was an amazing for BMW and, of course, for us, the fans of the brand, but since they promise 2013 is going to be better there’s just nothing to complain about.

Here’s something where the nearing of a new year doesn’t necessarily signify the beginning of something different, interesting better or… positive.

The owners of a 2012-2013 BMW S1000RR motorcycle will know exactly what I’m talking about since they’ve recently received (or are about to receive) a recall notice.

Their beloved two wheeled beast may have a bit of a problem with its kickstand. Nobody’d want to see it fall over, even without considering other issues.

A lose stand means that you might believe it’s actually fine initially and then find yourself hurt underneath it.

In somewhat more fortunate conditions, your S1000RR might fall over somebody’s car or who knows what, causing some genuine damage.

The affected bikes are the ones manufactured between September 2011 and December 2012, thus sold under 2012 or 2013 modelyears.

According to the recall notice, during the manufacturing process some of the bolts may not have been cleaned properly, thus resulting in loosening over time.

Owner forums seem to be aware of the problem for some time now. The number of complaints isn’t large and most of them consider this little more than an inconvenience.

The all-watching NHTSA isn’t really on the same page as they will not let the Bavarian manufacturer off this easy.

A recall is scheduled to begin as early as possible in January 2013. In the meantime, owners are recommended not to ride their bike.

That’s quite the bummer if you were planning to spend the few remaining days of the year on the road or track with your favorite two-wheeled toy.

Ah yes, it’s looking as though the E92 BMW M3 still refuses to go away quietly. As we know that the next M3 will not be showing up until late next year, there’s still plenty of life left in this one.

In order to seem a little more important than usual, the 2013 version of the current M3, BMW will be introducing this version.

It’s a derivative of the already known Frozen paint models, except this time, it’s a custom shade of blue that stands out.

In fact, it’s actually the previous versions that spawned this one to come to life. American buyers weren’t very happy about having missed out on the limited edition.

Whereas other Frozen Paint BMW M3 models had a run of about 40 units, this time the Bavarians are more generous and offering 150 cars in this form.

Just in case you’re wanting for the previous options, the Red and White editions of the Frozen Paint will still be on the list of options.

The rest of that list is pretty short since you get an awful amount of equipment as standard. Highlights however are not for everybody.

Only the special editions get matte black 19” light alloy wheels, Electronic Damper Control, a 10 mm drop in the suspension and sportier settings for EDC and DSC.

Black Extended Novillo leather with contrast stitching sways the interior and high-gloss black accents cover the exterior.

Interestingly, it’s the manual transmission that’s offered as standard and the DCT is an option. There is some bad news though.

This version of the E92 M3 will cost at least $76.395 including destination and handling, so it’s about 16.000 more expensive than the regular version.

For the motorbike riding folks safety is important, but it’s certainly not as relevant as it is for the folks with four wheels.

Even so, they will appreciate the newest announcement about BMW bikes. All models from the Bavarian brand will now get ABS as standard.

This change will be implemented for the 2013 model-year range alongside a few other tweaks of lesser importance.

Most of the other changes are related to the design and the color palette you can buy them in.

Certainly the colors can be important for some people, but, depending on the type of bike you get, there’s a few other interesting technology to be had.

BMW bikes will be available with stuff like electronic suspension, stability control, dynamic traction control and even adaptive headlights.

There have also been some changes in the comfort and toys department. For example, some of the touring models can get heated grips, an on-board computer, a luggage rack, pannier holder and a center stand.

We’ve also noticed an ever more present LED turn signal appearance and various changes to the screens that come on these bikes.

Before the gossip starts trickling we should make one thing clear. Yes, the EU politicians have a plan to force manufacturers fit ABS on all vehicles but that isn’t active yet.

In fact, it will take until 2016 for the ABS brakes to be mandatory on bikes so BMW is well ahead of the law, and competition, on this front.

BMW’s market success has a lot to do with the quality of the products they make but you really can’t know off their marketing department for doing a great job.

After all, few brands can brag about having as much of a market value as the blue and white roundel and a whole lot fewer brands can say show off these kinds of sales.

Summing all this stuff out sounds like a boring powerpoint presentation designed for black and gray business men. Which it is.

Thankfully, BMW know that we’d much rather stick to rather simpler ways of communicating so they’ve unveiled a new video for their X1 crossover.

We don’t really thrive on phrases like “year on year”, “similar period”, “growth” or anything like that. We do like the way BMW X1 “in action” sounds:

As you can see, the video was published by BMW USA and there are some major figures of this establishment featured. The point of the video rather hangs on getting US customers excited about the idea.

Over the Atlantic, the BMW X1 is going to be available starting next month in two kinds of engines and two options for the drivetrain.

You can have the 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine with rear or all wheel drive or the 3.0 liter turbocharged inline six with xDrive only.

The pricing for the newly unveiled crossover will start at somwhere around $31,545 for the 28i versions and some $39.345 for the xDrive35i.

American ladies and gentlemen, it’s finally here: the 2013 BMW X1 got its facelift and is well on its way to your market, promptly after its showcased in New York.

The New York Auto Show will kick off tomorrow but the Bavarians have given us some photos of the 2013 BMW X1 early along with some details.

We could’ve done with a different color for the unveiling but since this is the United States, we’ll accept the slightly too bright shade of orange.

For 2013 the BMW X1 gets a relatively small facelift as it is now fitted with a revised front bumper, tweaked headlights and new accents, all painted silver.

We see more of the same in the profile and rear end. New skirts and a fresh bumper get teamed to new taillights.

The new look is pretty decent but it’s less than half the story. The interior and the underpinnings need to be considered as well.

Under the bonnet you can have the 2.0 liter turbocharged four pot with 245 horsepower in the xDrive28i or the 3.0 liter turbo straight six with 300 horsepower.

Both engines are quite impressive and, after being sent through an automatic gearbox, can be put to the ground through all four wheels.

You’ll also be able to order it with two wheel drive and in true tradition for driver’s cars, the power will be aimed at the rear ones.

Sales in the US will begin later this year in September with prices starting as low as $31.545. Spec it up and get a bigger engine and you can be looking at over $50.000.

It would seem that the Bavarians plan to unveil the facelift they’ve been cooking up for the 2013 BMW X1 at the upcoming New York Auto Show.

They must be ready with it or something since they’ve chosen an American show otherwise it seems a little weird.

Why? Well mostly because the BMW X1 isn’t sold in the US. Could this be BMW’s way of saying its availability will expand to the “new world”?

That would be quite the surprise since last we heard, the Bavarians weren’t too keen on bringing the miniature crossover stateside.

There are reasons for this, some are more important others are less than so but last we heard, its introduction to the U.S. market was delayed indefinitely.

Prior to that announcement, late 2012 seemed like it would be the launch date. Should the 2013 BMW X1 facelift be introduced at the NY show early next month, a market launch’s timing would come in quite well.

Adding in around six months to that date would in fact see the that original delay announcement come true. The facelift might even calm down the Americans that felt somewhat disappointed by not getting it “on time”.

We don’t expect much more than cosmetic changes to come out of the new facelift and the US market will almost certainly drop the diesel engines.

In fact, most bets would say the 2013 BMW X1 will only be available with the N20 engine. That’s the 245 horsepower, 258 lb-ft of torque, four cylinder, turbocharged unit.
