BMW Z5 and Toyota Supra Rumored to Share Components
The future BMW Z4 which is rumored to be called the Z5, as well as the new Toyota Supra, are reported to come on the market in the next three years, the two sports car supposing to share the same packaging.
The BMW will be the one-off automaker that will offer their innovation in the lightweight engineering, alongside the technology advancements that is currently offering on the “i” models.

The BMW will be also supplying the engine for the upcoming Toyota Supra, planning to pair it with the Toyota`s latest “super conductor hybrid” technology, which would eventually produce 260 kW.
More than that, there are also some sources inside BMW`s headquarters, stating that the future BMW Z5 will come with a “more radical front-mid-engine bias.”
This means that we would find a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under the hood, with three powers: 190 HP, 245 HP and 270 HP, with the engines being hooked to a ZF 8-speed automatic or a six-speed manual.
Both the upcoming BMW Z5 and the new-generation Toyota Supra are expected to hit their showrooms somewhere at the end of 2017.
