The 2021 BMW M3 Touring has been finalized and confirmed by the German auto manufacturer via a recent press release. The auto giant did not release any details regarding the date, price, or features of the car. It is expected that further information will be released later this year.

Fortunately, we can predict the specifications and features of the upcoming car based on the previous model. The BMW M3 is most likely to have a regular model while a Competition package will also make an appearance. Consumers will be able to choose between the standard rear-wheel drive system or the performance-oriented all-wheel-drive variant. 

The German marque is expected to allow consumers to choose from either a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic. It would be interesting to see if BMW gives these options in the M3 Touring model. Since the Touring models are more premium the M3 wagon may only come in an all-wheel-drive option. Petrolheads will be looking at BMW to offer the M3 in a rear-wheel-drive manual option but that looks like a far-fetched idea for now.  

BMW is expected to take at least 2 years to finish development on the vehicle. The press release did not state in detail when the period starts and when it will end so for now we cannot make any speculation on the model release date. In any case, we could expect the M3 Touring to come out as a 2022 or 2023 model. Lots of changes can take place by then in terms of technology and performance.

Usually, we see the camouflaged versions testing on roads whenever a car is near its release. Therefore, we would have to wait and see when that happens to be able to predict the exact date of the vehicle’s release. By then, BMW will keep us entertained with the M3 sedan and the M4 Coupe versions. Both these vehicles eyebrow-raisers in their regard.

German carmaker BMW is currently planning and preparing to launch a wide range of new models, especially with the upcoming 2017 Paris Motor Show, opening its gates starting with 25th of November.

While we have heard great news of the upcoming X4 and X4 M, there haven’t been any fresh details on the new X5. And even if we all thought the new model would be left aside, thanks to recent reports, we now have some details concerning the petrol engine lineup that the 2019 BMW X5 is supposed to comprise in the United States alone.

The model is set to arrive in the second quarter of 2019 and will stand on the company`s new and most advanced CLAR architecture, which comprises new and more lightweight materials, meaning increased performance, bigger space inside and lower fuel consumption. The X5 will also share plenty of mechanical characteristics with its bigger siblings, the X6 and the newly launched BMW X7.

Besides the shared CLAR architecture and technology suite, the BMW X5 SUV will stand out from the crows with a new petrol engine lineup, available in the sDrive40i, xDrive40i and xDrive50i variants.

Starting with the X5 40i, the entry-level variant will comprise a 3.0-liter straight six B58 engine, with 335 horsepower in the standard shape. The M Performance variant will add around 15 horsepower more. The rest of the lineup will be equipped with an N63 4.4-liter V8 mill, a completely new engine with 465 horsepower, which is way too impressive than today`s M550i model.

According to the same reports, BMW has also leaked out some of the engines that will equip the 2019 BMW X5 outside the US market, be it petrol burners or diesels. The entry-level xDrive30d for instance will come with a B57 engine with 265 horsepower, while the xDrive40d will churn out 320 horsepower. On the other hand, the top of the line M50d will feature a new B57S quad-turbo engine with 400 horsepower.

The talks with the making of the future 2018 BMW X2 SUV have been circulating on the internet for quite some time now, with the model coming back into the spotlights recently, in a fresh batch of renderings delivered by Motor Trend auto magazine.

Previewed in the X2 Concept form last year at the Paris Motor Show, we witnessed many rumors, reports, spy photos and renderings with the new model, which is set to officially arrive at next month`s 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

Just like the other renderings last year, these ones are also highlighting the future BMW X2 SUV with an extremely aggressive body style and more evolutionary design cues of the new X1. Overall, it will be much wider, coming with a new kidney grille, sleek roofline, long bonnet, small boot opening, and L-shaped taillights wrapped around edgy curves.

Inside, the cargo capacity will also be improved, making room for all its passengers and luggage. Also, the X2 will benefit the latest technology onboard, also expected on the future 5-Series or present 7-Series. More than that, as you probably know, the new X2 will also stand on the new UKL platform, the same one underpinning other models within the group, especially the new MINI models.

Under the hood, the all-new BMW X2 will come with a wide choice of three- and four-cylinder engines. We should mention the 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine or the higher 2.0-liter diesel petrol expected to become the top of the line from the diesel. Also, all versions will come with a choice of six-speed manual gearbox and the Aisin-sourced eight-speed automatic, both equipping the Euro-spec models. The latter gearbox will also come as standard on other versions, especially in the US.

We are definitely going to hear more about the BMW X2 in the next period before its official unveiling, perhaps at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The rumor mill with an upcoming G30 BMW M5 is not new, the carmaker already being leaked out preparing such an astonishing model that could achieve an amazing sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, and thus adding more performance, torque and top speed.

Until an official report on such matter, we have got another rendering signed by no other than rendering specialist X-Tomi Design, which is presenting a personal view on how a much more powerful M5 would look like in the near future.

As we can depict from the rendering below, in X-Tomi Design`s opinion, the future BMW M5 looks extremely aggressive, highlighted by improved aerodynamics, more M Performance Parts and fresh rims.

Along with new mechanics, all these will allow outstanding performance, and according to recent rumors as well, the upcoming G30 M5 will indeed be more powerful.

We might be looking here at an upgraded version of the present 4.4-liter V8 engine, with more than 600 horsepower, being sent to all wheels via a high-performance automatic transmission. The model can also be switched to the rear-wheel drive system, depending on the situation involved.

Once it will arrive, the future G30 BMW M5 might sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in an amazing 3.5-3.6 seconds, which means that it will be faster than the present model with around 0.7 seconds.

Even with the impressive performance, according to specialists, the new G30 BMW M5 will still fall behind its main competitor, the no other than the all-new Mercedes-AMG E63, which packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 604 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, and a 100 km/h sprint in 3.3 seconds.

There have been numerous talks about the upcoming of the 2018 BMW X2, with the model to be seen in different reviews and recent spy photos, not to mention renderings which showcase its styling borrowings from the X2 Concept.

Now, the X2 can be admired in a recent rendering signed by Auto Build, which is envisioning its own interpretation of the model. It still wears the overall design of the test mule, but it does come with some styling bits of its own, making it more evolutionary and appealing.

There are visible differences between the real X2 and this rendering, the latter one showing the SUV without the headlights, but adds instead a custom front fascia.

Besides these slight features, the model still looks aggressive with the front bumper, stands closer to the ground to offer more downforce and keeps the same kidney grille which makes it more imposing. On the sides, the body reveals the same sleek roofline.

Taking an overall look at all the renderings released so far and the spy photos of the new X2 SUV, we might conclude that this is a car destined for the young public, especially because it provides a certain fresh air in the carmaker`s X lineup.

Not to mention that it will encompass the latest technology inside – borrowed from the 5- and the 7-Series, respectively – and adding a wide array of engines, both petrol burners and diesels with three- and four-cylinder configurations. BMW has already confirmed its planning of introducing the most luxurious and powerful X model from the lineup, which is no other than the X7 SUV, set to arrive somewhere in 2019.

But besides the aforementioned model, the German based company is also presuming working on a four-seater X7 version, that would tackle the Bentley`s Bentayga SUV, which is said to be the epitome of luxury and performance on the SUV market today.

And the renderings below, signed by no other than rendering artist Theophilus Chin, might provide us a closer look on how such a version will look like.

Reportedly coming with a price below $200,000, the all-new four-seater version will come with a slightly different exterior, more legroom for the rear passengers, and a few more. The most interesting part, according to AutoNews, is that the two versions will not share the common UKL platform.

However, the same engine lineup fitting the seven-seater will be also found underneath the smaller version, meaning a wide range of six- and eight-cylinder mills, followed by hybrid version, as expected.

Commonly amongst the X5 and X6, which are also had with the much more potent M versions, the X7 might as well receive an M Performance model, which would tackle the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, this one coming with a five-seat arrangement and upgraded powertrains.

For the moment, the details list with an upcoming BMW X7 four-seater version is limited, but we should expect fresh details in early 2017. Meanwhile, take a look at the renderings below and decide for yourself is such a version should emerge on the market.

Following a couple of spy photos with the 5-Series Touring undergoing tests and wearing camouflage around the rear end, renderings with the aforementioned model have already begun to pop-up online.

We are looking here at a couple of renderings signed by no other than theophiluschin, which is showcasing its own interpretation of the future G31 Touring. They are actually quite realistic as they follow the same styling lines as the test mule being spied under tests.

As we can depict from the renderings, the Touring shares the same design as its Sedan sibling, except for the rear, which is shaped with a wagon style, providing thus additional space for luggage and other equipment.

And even if the real photos revealed the rear end of the model with camouflage, it is easy to foresee that the future Touring will be coming with new taillights, keeping however the same Hofmeister Kink on the new D-pillar.

The G31 BMW Touring is expected to feature rather the same powertrains as the 5-Series Sedan, including the 530e`s new plug-in hybrid, meaning the 2.0-liter engine paired to an electric motor and delivering a total of 250 horsepower.

The much more potent 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine will be taken from the top of the line M550i xDrive, with an impressive 455 horsepower and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h delivered in just 4.0 seconds. The engine lineup will receive an all-wheel drive layout and a standard eight-speed automatic.

Future details with the upcoming G31 BMW 5-Series Touring will be revealed towards the end of the year, the model being expected for an official debut at the 2017 NAIAS, in Detroit. If not, we should definitely see it at the most awaited auto show of the year, in Geneva, next March.

There was a good reason that MINI pulled off the production of the MINI Paceman and that would be the poor sales.

However, according to the new rumor mill, the British based carmaker is reportedly planning the introduction of a successor in the shape of a five-door Countryman Coupe. Hence the rendering below, signed by no other than render artist theophiluschin.

Also, according to a new report from Auto Express, MINI would launch the new model somewhere in 2018, coming with a completely new look and personality. Judging by the rendering and other rumors, the new five-door Countryman Coupe would come with a sloping roofline and an evolutionary design.

Speaking about the car`s new design, Adrian van Hooydonk, chief design for BMW Group, has declared to Auto Express that “Part of the issue was the three doors. We have looked into a lot of things, but all of our [BMW] SUV coupes are five-door vehicles. As much as people probably drive the cars with only one or two people, they like the comfort of an extra set of doors. They want to carry extra stuff – throw a bag in the rear or take someone.”

Once it will arrive, the future MINI Countryman Coupe would sit on the company`s new UKL platform, meaning that it will use more lightweight materials, like aluminum or carbon fiber composites, providing plenty of space inside and the fitting of a wide array of engines, the same one found underneath the Paceman, and adding as well an all-wheel drive and a plug-in hybrid version.

The 2017 G30 BMW 5 Series was released online about a week ago, with the model already getting plenty of attention from the media in different outstanding photo and video galleries along with tens of reviews.

We have also had the wonderful opportunity of reviewing the model in lots of previous articles and now we have the chance of seeing the model again being rendered wearing an M5 and a Touring body styling.

As it frequently happens when a high-end model from BMW breaks cover, the all-new G30 5 Series couldn’t be left alone without getting its fair share of renderings, the model already being envisioned with M5 and Touring stylings.

The renderings below are signed by no other than the X-Tomi Design and Theophilus Chin, and are previewing the model wearing the hardcore styling of a future M5, with an extremely aggressive look, highlighted by the M body parts, like the M front and rear bumpers, fenders, side grilles, as well as the M alloy wheels, all making it appealing to the eye.

On the other hand, the 5 Series Touring is showcasing a more family-oriented styling with sporty bits as well, along with the “wraparound” taillight design. The rear also depicts a more practical liftgate with plenty of cargo space inside.
