With the 2012 season of Formula 1 being one of the most exciting ever, there’s more and more attention turning to the king of motorsports.

Volkswagen and BMW have both been rumored to return to F1. VW repeatedly denied any plans to do so and it is only know that the Bavarians are going the same route.

Jens Marquardt, current motorsport division director for BMW denied any plans to return to Formula 1, not only for next season but over the mid-term as well.

Obviously, nobody can say anything for sure on the long term but the general idea is that we’re not going to see a BMW roundel on a Formula 1 single seater very soon.

Motorsport Aktuell is a Swiss magazine that interviewed Jens Marquardt and he confirmed that there’s no plan as the rumors have been speaking of.

The July 2009 decision on F1 for BMW will still be in place. That’s when the company decided to pull out of the sport the last time.

BMW have been involved in F1 back in the 50s and 60s as a team. Since then they’ve also been involved in the sport in more modern times but only as engine suppliers.

Unfortunately, the teams they partnered up with never really stood up to the performance of the engines. It’s quite common for BMW to have the greatest powerplant on the grid.

That may be the case but it hasn’t helped results and, ultimately, poor chassis performance was what led to them backing out of the sport altogether.

For those of you who think the BMW M3 GTS is a bit of a weakling, even in the Nurburgring endurance win celebratory GTS-R form but still want a BMW ready to take down the Porsche 911 GT3 RS these two might just be the thing.

The crew over at G-Power decided to celebrate the famed victory in a different style and have announced they will be offering two special edition M3 Clubsport models.

The models in question are the G-Power Motorsport M3 Tornado CS and GT2 S. The GT2 S is the company’s first official vehicle and is a turn-key racer with a price tag, before taxes, of €139,495.

That’s the downside of it, the upside is that it is 150 kilos lighter than the M3 as it features a new GT2-inspired carbon fiber body kit, carbon fiber bucket seats for the front passengers and no seats for the back.

So you pretty much won’t be using this car to carpool but it may have just about enough to make you forget about everything else if you consider what’s under that body: lightened wheels, a “Clubsport” coilover system, G-Power’s SK II CS supercharger system, new intakes and a titanium exhaust. As the latter are mated to that amazing 4 liter V8 engine that gives life to the M3 and you end up with 600 horsepower and 580 Nm of torque, resulting in a theoretical top speed of over 320 km/h with a six-speed (330 km/h if you go for the 7-speed DCT).

If you feel the GT2 S is a bit extreme, than the BMW M3 Tornado CS may be what you want as it will only cost €10,800 to convert your BMW M3 to one. For this you get the same power and a few other details but pretty much avoid the new suspension, aero and bodywork.

I have to say that if I would have below 5 years, either that the recommended age is between 0,5 and 3 years old, I would definitely wish such a toy. If my kid would wish such a thing, I would definitely understand him because even right now I am admiring this BMW Baby Race II Motorsport.

I think these types of motorcycles are not fitting in this background or better said on the roads where you can really feel the winter. These types of motorcycles are made to roll on big speeds on really good roads and the roads where is a lot of snow these motorcycles are just not good enough for that.

Anyway, these guys are not so stupid to take these motorcycles just like this on snowed roads, they took some normal tires for this BMW S1000RR motorcycle and they spiked them so that they will have no problems with them on that type of road.

Excepting the thing that this BMW S1000RR with spiked wheels can have some really normal performances on snowed roads, this type of tires are also giving to this BMW S1000RR a much more aggressive look. I guess that the funniest thing to see at this BMW S1000RR with spiked tires is while it is making burnouts.

Those from BMW Motorsport announced a new motorsport model for BMW, namely BMW M3 GT4. We don’t have pictures and videos with BMW M3 GT4 yet but when we will bring them and we will publish them on BMWCoop. Also, we can not give any information about car’s technical details, currently not announced anything by BMW Motorsport.

BMW M3 GT4 can be customize it to the owner’s specification for the respective racing class and will have a start price of 120,000EUR. BMW Motorsport says that the BMW M3 GT4 was developed on in Aschheim, Bavaria, on its private track.
