The BMW Groups feels more secured now, when the third generation of the BMW 6 Series has made its important contribution.

We are talking about approximately 26,000 units to be sold in 2013 leaving the Dingolfing plant towards destinations around the world.

Also, in March last year, the BMW plant celebrated the start of the manufacturing of the most exclusive vehicle from the 6 Series, namely the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, the most outstanding four-door luxury coupe.

“Each vehicle represents an individual customer wish. And with this vehicle, the nine-millionth car made in Dingolfing, we have made your customer wish come true,” said Robert Kussel, Head of Assembly at Dingolfing plant.

The BMW M635 CSi made history with its top speed of 255 km/h, becoming the fastest BMW four-seater version of all.

In the years that followed, BMW managed to add new versions to the 6 Series, like the Coupe, the Convertible, the M variants, as well as the Gran Coupe in question.

To go back, the 6 Series has had a wonderful history and tradition at the Dingolfing plant, starting in 1978, with the production of the BMW 653 CSi, followed shortly by the BMW M635 CSi.

The German luxury car manufacturer is on a “worldwide” tour with its two high-end models, the M5 and the M6. It seems that the two models will be sporting a limited Horse Edition, to commemorate in China the beginning of the New Year 2014.

Chinese people celebrate the beginning of the New Year on January 31 and this was a suitable opportunity for BMW to put on the Chinese market a special edition M, which is the Horse Edition, specially prepared for the Chinese event.

BMW has announced that there would be only 30 copies of the special edition M5 for the Chinese market alone. What makes the car apart, is the unique horse character into the headrests.

Concerning the BMW`s M6 Gran Coupe, the Driving Experience Chief Instructor Claudia Hurtgen, drove the mighty M6 to set “the current production car lap record”, a record carried on the International Circuit in Shanghai, a thing that might attract potential buyers.

The Horse Edition will have a lot of power to use on the Chinese roads, but will still sport the standard Package which provides an enough 575 horsepower.

If you loved the two previous versions of BMW, M5 respectively M6, you will cannot help but loving the latest product, BMW M6 Gran Coupe, which is, in fact, a mixture of these two.

After all, it kept precisely the same wheelbase as M5, yet keeping a close visual resemblance with M6. What about the technical aspects of BMW M6 Gran Coupe?

The 4.4 liter V8 turbocharged engine is quite pleasant, considering that it generated 560 HP. Thanks to the twin turbo, at 1.500 rpm it can generate 500 Nm torque.

Do not worry, the maximum power of BMW M6 Gran Coupe is used for reaching the dazzling 5750 rpm. Even so, the maximum rotation power does not end here, but at the 7.200 rpm threshold!

The police in Dubai has some of the most expensive and powerful cars to both impress visitors and intimidate felons. And they keep adding to the already impressive line-up.

The latest to join the ranks is an F13 BMW M6.

So far, we can count a Lamborghini Aventador, a Ferrari FF, a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, a Bentley Continental GT, an Aston Martin One-77 and a Camaro SS. With this kind of wheels for the police force, people started asking when they would get a Bugatti Veyron. Surely enough, they are already working on that, making every effort to grab one.

But until the Bugatti joins their ranks, the Dubai Police Force welcomes the F13 BMW M6. As we all know, Dubai is home to opulence and the wealth floating around that region is immense. So, if the leaders of Dubai deemed the M6 worthy of joining the police force, then it sure enough should shut the mouths of those that might argue against the BMW M6 not being that impressive.

Indecision is, by no means, the best thing one could have in his life. In fact, it’s often quite the opposite. Businesses like BMW have somehow managed to cash in on it though.

Don’t know what to get between the F10 BMW M5 and the F12 BMW M6? Why not have both within the spirit of the 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe?

The halfbreed was showcased at the currently ongoing 2013 Detroit Motor Show to one simple result. It appears to be more likable in “the flesh” than in shopped pictures.

There’s a difficult reality to wrap your head around in this car. It comes with the stunning looks of the M6, the practicality of the M5 (nearly) and still carries the same engine.

Being powered by a 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and having 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque on tap can really make it lively.

In fact, pushing it means you can get to 60 in just 4.1 seconds and the 155 mph cruise is easily done. Aside from the specs, the new selections of alloy wheels the M division uses here is very desirable.

Having showcased it in Detroit, BMW have presented the M6 to American customers who will soon be buying the four door supercar and annoyed us all with one simple fact.

The M6 Gran Coupe won’t actually go on sale until the summer. Further more, the pricing hasn’t yet been announced so we don’t even know how many pennies to count.

I’m pretty cool with it, I’m sure the bank I’m eyeing to rob will cover purchase and around one year’s expenses easily.

The car market is full of rivalries and battles between models that are bound to last longer than the Hundred Years’ War.

Reviewers and tests always try to pick a side and sort the conflict out but it doesn’t seem to happen. The situation is so bad that models from the same car maker are fighting themselves as well.

For instance, the revival of the BMW M6 alongside the M5 has begged the question. Which one? Why? Is the difference noticeable?

Jethro Bovingdon, associate editor for Car and Driver decided to post a serious question about this ongoing debate. He also tried to deliver the answer.

After a quick ticking off on paper and in a straight line, the scales were tipped in favor of the F10 M5. It’s value for money factor outweighed the minuscule performance gains of the M6.

However, once the old fashion comparison runs out and the very relevant nowadays track test comes in to question, the differences begin to emerge.

Due to the lower center of gravity, slightly lower weight and ultimately different optimization, the F12 BMW M6 quickly begins to outshine its four door brethren.

The conclusion is one that doesn’t mean to embarrass any of the models. It becomes obvious that the Bavarians have planned out the directions of these cars quite well.

Even if the M6 appears to cost more for not that much less, the difference is there. It’s also earning stripes for being a GT car that gets compared to the GT-R in terms of track performance.

Early January is a time to look back, analyze, drop some resolutions and maybe even think of what’s to happen in the future.

Sounds like a general situation, doesn’t it? We could say it is, but it’s apparently happening at BMW too. The Bavarian brand looked back and it’s now going through a bit of a future moment.

Here’s a quick run down what they’re planning to do for the immediate future that is the North American International Auto Show.

Otherwise known as the Detroit Motor Show, the 2013 edition will be the place to see some really cool BMW models come about and a last reprise of an older one.

My favorite bimmer about to be released is the new 4 Series. Formerly known as the 3 Series coupe, it’s going to further differentiate itself within the brand.

Starting off where things were pretty impressive and making the cars look more like a Coupe than a two door sedan is something I’d always approve of.

Then there’s the M6 Gran Coupe, a car which genuinely needs no other introduction. I’m just going to ogle it for a while now.

On the level that is somewhat close to us, BMW does have something to showcase in Detroit which is something we might call affordable.

The Lifestyle edition version of the 1 Series Coupe and Convertible will be at the show alongside a facelifted version of the Z4.

I’d say the Bavarians rounded up just about everything their stable has to offer and the Americans have just no reason to be disappointed.

Love the S63Tu? Love the look of the F12 M6? Love the practicality of the F10 M5? They’ve all come together in one beautiful package.

It’s called the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, it had itself an official unveiling already and we even got to seem so gorgeous action shots of it.

All nice and pretty, but stills just don’t cut it these days. It’s all about the video, the only format which can really make it feel like an experience.

Which makes us really appreciate what BMW’s media department have done by publishing a new set of videos.

It was a very recent unveiling of the Bavarians that the BMW M6 Gran Coupe received and it won our hearts instantly. A four door coupe is great, this one is brilliant.

When the first images of the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe were introduced, basically laying the ground work for something like this.

Providing us with a M6 version is like giving an overly excitable child the toy he dreams of most. How could ever not rejoice?

Somehow it seems that people did not do so completely and BMW decided to fight back and win over all those who aren’t completely fascinated by the idea.

This time we get a set of beautifully done photos of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe shot in action. To make sure those who don’t appreciate simplicity are pleased, there’s some HDR work in there too.

Otherwise, the rest of us are more focused on the great lines of this beautiful four door from the M division and its powerplant.

The S63Tu is the sort of powerplant that novels should be written about. No matter how much critics would love to say that there’s turbo lag up to 1500 rpm, it’s epic.

The “lag” is real and it does happen but I’d like to post the question, do people really buy something like an M6 Gran Coupe for the joy of driving around at idle?

If that’s their style, it’s fairly doubtful that they’re pants will ever catch on fire so badly that they will need an instant hit of 560 horsepower.
