A photo session carried out by Ciprian Mihai Photography showcases the great looking 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible from different angles, an exclusive session that couldn’t have been possible without the help of model Elena Horvath.

The 2014 BMW 4-Series Convertible is sharing its platform with the F30 and the F32 models, but being quite larger in width, track and wheelbase than the BMW 3-Series Convertible.

We are talking about 4.638 mm in length, 1.825 mm in width and 1.384 mm in height, while the overall weight of the BMW 4-Series Convertible stands at just 1,815 kg.

The BMW 4-Series Convertible is equipped with a wide range of engines, for its 435i Convertible version, as well as for the 428i, the 420d and the 430d, with the company planning to expand the lineup with an upcoming 420i and 435d xDrive versions.

BMW has officially launched the BMW 3 Series GT (Gran Turismo), a larger model to the BMW 3 Series Sedan (F30). BMW 3 Series GT offers impressive dynamics due to the drawn design lines by the BMW design masters.

When the Germans at BMW launched the BMW 5 Series GT, almost everyone has criticized this move of BMW. Most people have criticized the design of the BMW 5 Series GT, higher rear and its design not pretty nice. But, the sports allure, luxury and elegance are present when it comes to BMW.

The new BMW 3 Series GT offers a sporty, luxurious design, very well done which looks sexy, these things all made by the specialists from BMW.

BMW 3 Series GT offers more space inside and is slightly longer than the BMW 3 Series Sedan. However I do not see the point of this GT, because right now BMW has in showroom the BMW 3 Series Touring, which is in my opinion, more useful and familiar than the BMW 3 Series GT.

I am very confused when it comes to a GT variant… because BMW has currently a BMW 3 Series Sedan and also a large model, more familiar, namely the BMW 3 Series Touring. However, BMW 3 Series GT is a very sporty model, an unique car with luxurious interior and exterior.

Japanese from Infiniti have released the first model that will compete with F30 BMW 3 Series. It is Infiniti Q50, the successor to the G37 as well you know and made its debut at the 2013 NAIAS.

Infiniti Q50 is a completely new design and will be offered with two powertrain. The first is a V6 petrol aspirated 3.7 V6 outputting 328hp / 269lb-ft liter which deliveres 330 horsepower and the second is a hybrid consisting of an electric motor and a petrol V6 3.5 liter. Although not officially announced for Europe is expected to be offered a 3 liter diesel, the current range existing in other Infiniti models.

Infiniti Q50 will be a dynamic model oriented towards driving pleasure and wants to rival the current F30 BMW 3 Series in terms of agility and not only. It should be noted as Direct Adaptive Steering systems (among the fastest steering systems in the world), I-Key smart key which will hold all the individual settings of several drivers or InTouch multimedia system with two touch screens that will surpass any other system in terms of connectivity and interaction. Sales will begin in the summer of 2013.

As a BMW fan, or even a supporter of the opposition among Mercedes, Audi or Lexus, you’re likely well aware of the fierce fight for sales in this segment.

Over the last few months, BMW’s established lead was starting to get eroded by the fierce competition and their relentless quest to produce new models.

Last month’s results seem to be swinging in a more favorable direction for the Bavarian brand. Sales are up for all, but BMW is running ahead.

Main rivals Audi were up by 12.7 percent for a total of 1.34 million units whereas Mercedes managed 1.19 million, thus growing by 5.1 percent.

These are the statistics that were totalled up over the first eleven months of the year, compared to 2011. Under the same conditions, BMW shifted 1.38 million vehicles (10.9 percent up).

The bulk of those sales came from the more and more popular crossover segment. It was the BMW X1 and that shone once again.

Alongside it however, the brand new F30 3 Series has left its mark on the sales pitch for November. In other words, the bread and butter sedan has done its job properly.

While BMW is on pole position and the race is going strong, there’s no time to rest and take a break with all that oposition breathing down your neck.

Recent incentive efforts have cut BMW’s profit margin by a reported 2.3 percent and might still happen this month for a further reduction.

The new F30 is about to bring a new way for us to understand the expansion and variation of the entire 3 Series range from BMW in the near future.

Among the lots of variations coming up in the life of the small luxury sedan, a less desirable body shape is getting ready to make its debut.

As the guys at KGP Photography caught it out in the open making ready with the preparations for a new commercial, we get to see the F30 BMW 3 Series GT.

Destined to offer more practicality by mixing the shape of a sedan and the one of an estate without looking like a wardrobe on wheels, the GT body shape is here to astonish us.

Unfortunately, and as BMW will undoubtedly know by now, the GT shape didn’t pass the mustard on the 5 Series version of the car.

Who knows, maybe the typically older audience of the 5 Series wasn’t the most interested sort of person to consider such a change.

Maybe the younger folks buying into the smaller and sportier 3 Series will be more interested in getting something to help a small family out, without the unpleasant estate shape.

If we’re talking about the previous experiment, we estimate that the F30 3 Series GT will get a somewhat reduced engine lineup.

Pricing may be a little hard to speculate at this point since the car will likely ride on the lengthened version they normally sell in China.

Since they’re shooting the commercial already, the lack of camouflage is likely to happen more often in the near future.

Not the most fortunate moments for some of the buyers of the F30 BMW 3 Series. Community forums seem to be crowding up with people complaining.

Only one issue seems to crop up across the platforms at bimmerpost, f30post, e90post and bimmerfest as well, which is an unpleasant vibration.

According to most reports, the F30 3 Series owners say this occurs at any speed above 35 mph (~57 km/h) and upon immediate search, solutions don’t exist.

Having delved a bit deeper into the problem however, the problem is quite widely discussed and plenty of people seem to blame various bits of the F30 that are new.

Some blame the steering rack, others think the fault is in the suspension whereas some even consider it to be the lack of active steering or plain randomness.

It should be worth mentioning that the situation isn’t dangerous or even highly unpleasant. Even so, the beautifully designed engineering package is a bit spoiled when it comes to driving by this vibration.

Owners are typically annoyed by the situation, some of which have already gotten their cars replaced by dealers because of this exact problem.

With people complaining about both the 335i and 328i, it seemed very hard to pinpoint the problem until BMW stepped in and identified the wheels as the cause for concern.

In most cases, a simple balancing would sort everything out but in quite a few, there could have been a problem with the rim not matching hub diameter.

This calls for a lot more inspection on the dealer side and quite a bit of work to sort out, very likely ending in a replacement of the affected components.

Is Germany’s Essen Motor Show picking up speed? Certainly seems so, just like most shows that the motoring industry used to ignore up until a few years ago.

Whatever people may be doing as they prepare for the show, BMW is announcing they’ll fit the bill by releasing a new version of their F30 BMW 3 Series.

They’ll be making an M Performance version of the Touring, or the estate variation of the lovely mid-sized sedan.

Apart from the enhanced boot compartment, it’s obvious that we’re dealing with a lot of similarities to the M Performance F30 3 Series sedan.

New 20 inch wheels and an aero package, complete with extra styling bits and appreciation are mixed in.

The showcase model will be the 320d. Moving a bit forward into the M Performance gala, this powerplant will develop 200 horsepower instead of 184.

Inside we’ll find a mix of Alcantara and carbon fiber for the trim, as well as stainless steel pedals. At the center of attention lies a new sports steering wheel.

This F30 BMW 3 Series Touring M Performance will be the headline of the BMW stand at the Essen show but the Bavarians have quite a few more toys on route to the event.

The same show will see them showcase an M Performance lineup featuring the new 125i and 120d, an F10 535i Sedan and an E92 M3 Coupe.

People who attend the event will also get a chance to try their hand at doing a pit stop challenge, all in DTM style.

Having recently starred in a spectacular lap around the Nurburgring, the F30 BMW 3 Series GT was sent back to the Green Hell in order to impress us again.

This time the spy photographers had more kit available to them so they even managed to record some video of the BMW 3 Series GT ravaging around the track.

It seems that the BMW test drivers aren’t managing the test-bed version of the 3 Series’ more practical relative but the chassis seems to be more planted this time.

The technical side of this new version of the 3 Series should be pretty good, there are a few concerns about its future.

There’s a well sorted chassis to talk about, the powerplant lineup is brilliant, the interior is well made and jammed full of accessories.

The exterior starts off pretty good since the new F30 is a good looking car to begin with but then BMW start looking for extra practicality by overdoing the rear end.

Having added such an “enhanced” rear end will undeniably annoy and drive away plenty of customers from buying an F30 variant.

Meanwhile, BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer claims that the lesson of the past from the F10 5 Series GT will not happen again here.

Should we bite in on his enthusiasm? I for one am yet to be convinced by the hatchback-like version of the beautiful sedan shape.

Maybe I’m too old but last time I checked, four people could go on a decent trip with plenty of luggage in the back.

Losing rear visibility for a couple of extra sweaters doesn’t seem convincing enough for me.

2012 came with a lot of good news for the BMW enthusiast. Be it new releases, new technology or new ideas, the Bavarians delivered fully.

They even went on with their tradition of completely mocking the sales performance of the rivals and showing them once again how it’s done.

Few of these listed have struck such a cord with the brand faithfuls more than the decision to return to the DTM touring car championship.

The German event differs from other touring car series because of the high manufacturer involvement and high power outputs.

With the return of BMW to the sport well under way, they used a really outrageous version of the BMW M3 that has a front end which is reminiscent of the F30 3 Series.

This weekend saw the last race of the year take place at the Hockenheimring was the one which decided the 2012 DTM championship.

That title went to BMW’s AC Schnitzer team, the manufacturer title went to our favorite car maker but the driver’s title was the most disputed one of all.

Eventually it went to Bruno Spengler. The Canadian driver had been pretty unfortunate in the past as he had lost the title four times at the last minute.

Thankfully, this time, in the maiden year of BMW’s return to the sport he managed to really put up a show. He started in third yet managed to get by his major rival and his team-mate to make a quick run for the win.

That win came just 1.1 seconds apart from the rival, so it wasn’t easy, but the result is undeniable.
