This summer is going to be extremely hot for BMW which has prepared an entire new fleet for launch, including the long-expected 1-Series, 3-Series and the recently previewed 2018 2-Series, coming both in the Coupe and Cabriolet.

The new philosophy that BMW has designed its models around is building bigger and more aerodynamics products, coming with the latest technology onboard and plenty of performance under the hood.

Scheduled to arrive in June, the all-new 2018 BMW 2-Series Coupe and Convertible follow the same line, both coming with updated design, the latest high-tech gadgetries and improved mechanics.

As we can see in the video presentation below, the all-new 2-Series is now coming with updated front-end with bi-LED headlights, wider kidney grille and more rounded air intakes, all increasing the aggressive look. Also, the rear end is highlighted by the single-piece rear lights with hallmark L-shape flowing into the flanks.

Also, the exterior colour palette includes Seaside Blue, Sunset Orange or Mediterranean Blue. You can find further details in the media gallery below.

The details inside are also more impressive, the cabin of the Coupe and Cabrio now coming with a more elegant yet sporty approach, highlighted by contrast stitching, high-gloss black surface for the center stack, leather seat upholstery, interior strips in aluminum or fine wood, high-gloss black panels with chrome accents and much more. The instrument panel is also tweaked with the latest onboard technology and “significantly enhances the cockpit’s quality feel.”

Under the hood, the 2018 BMW 2-Series is fitted with a wide range of three-, four- and six-cylinder engines, ranging from the 220i with 181 horsepower to the top of the line M2 Coupe with the same 375 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Following a series of spy photos with the upcoming BMW 2-Series Coupe last year, it was high-time we saw the Convertible variant as well in some new tests, just before arriving on the market sometime towards the end of 2017.

As we can see in the spy shots, the test mule is wearing a slight camouflage up front, revealing the new headlights, as well as around the rear. This indicates that the model will come with new front grille and more angular LED Daytime Running headlights, while the back will also get a freshly updated taillights with new graphics, and fascia. Otherwise, the model stays pretty much the same as the present model.

As for the car`s interior, even if we don’t have any photos, we might depict additional changes like new material on the dashboard and seats, the latest iDrive infotainment system, and a few more.

Setting to debut towards the end of the year, the new 2018 BMW 2-Series Convertible might also come with a front-wheel drive layout, which will make it the direct competitor of the new Audi A3 Sedan or Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class.

Also, recent rumors state that the carmaker would also add a new four-door Gran Coupe variant and a top of the line M model which would take on Audi`s RS3 Sedan or Mercedes-Benz`s CLA45. In the engine area, for now, the Convertible will receive the same engine lineup from the Coupe, which means better fuel-efficiency and improved performance. BMW carmaker released the first details and pictures with the all-new 2018 4-Series facelift about a week ago, the model ending up in the news again in a new media gallery and some fresh details.

As we can depict from the media gallery below, the 2018 4-Series looks visibly changed in terms of design, and even if it keeps the overall style of the previous model, it does come with plenty of new tweaks, which makes it more aggressive and appealing.

The facelifted model in all its forms – the coupe, convertible and the Gran Coupe – now features updated front and rear aprons, full-LED headlights, wider and much more prominent air intake with sharp contours and standout bars, adding as well LED taillights, chrome accents or high-black gloss surroundings.

Other visual tweaks also comprise new bumper with huge grilles and sculpted boot lid, two exterior colours – Sunset Orange, Snapper Rocks Blueall, a choice of 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, all features contributing to the lineup`s improved personality and stance.

The list of new mods include the interior as well. The cabin of the 4-Series lineup first includes a serious of new touches on the air outlets, control panels in the doors, adding the same high-gloss black trims on the center console.

There is also a mixture of Midnight Blue Dakota, Cognac Dakota and Ivory White Dakota leathers, along with Carbon Aluminum trim surrounding the entire area.

Mechanically, the all-new 2018 BMW 4-Series lineup is also equipped with an upgraded suspension with damping technology, adding improved steering setup as well, all improving the models` stability and driving capabilities.

In the engine department, there are two gasoline engines that have now been upgraded – the 431i with 248 horsepower as well as the 440i with 320 horsepower, both coming with an xDrive all-wheel drive system.

The increasingly high-demand on the luxury segment has forced BMW German carmaker into taking some drastic changes concerning its high-end models. And we know that the company has already planned some interesting modifications on that matter.

According to recent rumors and reports, the current 6-Series will loose its identity and will sacrifice itself in order to make room for the upcoming and long-rumored BMW 8-Series, while the 5-Series GT will shape up the personality of the future 6-Series GT.

Once arriving on the market and seen here in a fresh spy video while playing in the Arctic Snow – only the 8-Series Coupe and Convertible – both models will confirm the company`s new philosophy of building bigger, strong, much reliable and faster models, all luxurious as they can be in their final forms.

Currently, both models were put to hard testing in Sweden, which has become the carmaker`s playing ground for the last couple of years. Seen here are only the future BMW 8-Series Coupe and Convertible, both models being put to the extreme tests, which are once more the real proof that BMW is planning to build the perfect models to operate in all harsh weather conditions.

The camouflage around the body is also a clear indication that, compared to the present 6-Series, both models will come with advanced aerodynamics, state of the art technology, improved mechanics and the latest powertrains.

Once arriving on the market, the 840i and 840d base models will come with a wide range of six-cylinder engines, while the top of the line 850i version will be offered with a V8 engine, capable of around 450 horsepower. As expected, the range will also spawn a high-performance M860i model, with a V12 biturbo engine, shortly followed by an M8, as also previously rumored, hitting the market somewhere in 2019.

The long-expected 2018 BMW 4-Series Coupe & Convertible and the Gran Coupe have been finally released just recently, all models coming as well in the first details and official pictures.

We are looking here at the facelifted models of the current 4-Series, all of them arriving in the United States as 2018 MYs, and coming with improved design and mechanical characteristics.

As we can depict from the pictures below, the models come with revised styling bits – updated LED headlights, front foglamps and taillamps, adding as well front bumper with new air intakes, revised rear apron, the new 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels, as well as two exterior colours, the Snapper Rocks and Sunset Orange – all contributing to a much more aggressive look.

Inside, the 4-Series lineup keeps the general design lines, but still adds new elements, like revised steering wheel pattern, instrument panel with double stitching, three new upholstery colours, electroplated aluminum and chrome trims and much more. In the gadgetry department, all models are now equipped with updated infotainment system with new interface, adding Multifunctional Instrument Display and much more.

Mechanically, the 4-Series lineup is now equipped with new suspension system which proves to be much stiffer while adding “sportier handling without any loss of ride comfort”. Also, the 4-Series Coupe and Convertible can also be had with the M Sport and Adaptive suspensions which increase their driving capabilities.

As far as the engine line goes, the 4-Series lineup will comprise an assortment of new four- and six-cylinder engines, both petrol burners and diesels, with power to range from 150 horsepower (in the 418 d) to a total of 326 horsepower (in the 440i).

Even with the ongoing 2017 NAIAS, taking place in Detroit, the German based BMW carmaker is still keeping its plans of introducing lots of new models starting this year.

Two of them concern the reborn of the 6-Series – the Coupe and the Convertible – recently seen on the road while performing some heavy snowy testing.

Rumors with the new 6-Series coming with lots of influences from the future 8-Series have been the internet`s top news, but with the new test mules being presented in the flesh, chances are that both versions will be keeping their own identity.

Even so, the 6-Series models will come with lots of design transformations and the heavy camouflage just confirms it. Once arriving on the market, the 6-Series Coupe and Convertible will come with a more raked roofline towards the back, which will make them extremely appealing and attractive.

What it is more interesting on the Convertible than on the Coupe, is that the former one seems to hide a metal roof under the soft top, as the rear window comes with a different shape compared to the present model, with the black canvas also present over the roofline without being part of the whole system. Even so, the space will be visible diminuished.

Once decided for mass-production, both the BMW 6-Series Coupe and Convertible will be sitting on the carmaker`s new flexible CLAR platform, also underpinning the new 5-Series Gran Turismo, meaning that it will allow a wide array of engines under the hood. However, the power information are kept hidden at the moment, but we should be able to find out more in the upcoming period.

I can`t recall seeing an M2 Coupe wearing a convertible styling before, and I have to admit that Dahler`s new tuning program on this gorgeous baby-M brother looks fabulous.

When I first saw the photos released by the German tuner I thought these are just a bunch of renderings meant to provide us an imagery exercise of what the German carmaker should have done a long time ago: an M2 Convertible.

And by-the-way, the tuner`s creation looks fabulous. It`s more sexy and appealing, more aggressive and inciting for long and endless rides during summer. That makes it perfect for young couples wanting to feel free in the hot-burning days.

There was no need for any modifications to the car`s body styling, the M2 already looking stylish with the plethora of M parts. All the technicians had to do was strip it off its hard top and add a few mechanics that would make it more performance as well.

Amongst the car`s top features we should mention the stainless steel exhaust system, bigger brakes with 400 millimeter discs and eight-piston calipers, adjustable sports suspension system with 16 settings, and two significant power stages under the hood.

Speaking about performance, the aftermarket specialists from Dahler tuner have also added the Stage 1 kit, meaning 408 horsepower and 580 Nm of torque, providing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, at a top speed of 4290 km/h.

Stage 2 power kit comes with 425 horsepower and impressive 610 Nm of torque, for a top speed of 300 km/h. The performance figure has not been provided, but we expect around 3.9 seconds. The good news is that the tuner is also working on retuning an M4 engine, which would perfectly fit underneath the M2`s bonnet.

It is well-known that BMW is planning to change most of its X lineup by the end of the decade, by introducing a new X3, X4 and X5 replacements, with a reportedly X2 Convertible joining the fleet by 2020, as well.

Speaking about the BMW X2 Convertible, the model will stand on the same platform as the upcoming BMW X2 SUV, and will be aimed at the Range Rover`s Evoque Convertible.

Even if the carmaker has not officially confirmed the news, a BMW insider talked to motoring.com.au and stated that the company is reportedly planning the introduction a soft-top version of the BMW X2.

Even if it sounds strange, there are several indications that the making of an X2 Convertible is possible, and that just by taking a look at the first spy photos with the upcoming BMW X2.

Even if it was covered in full camouflage by the time the test mule was caught on shots, we could still depict the styling it will come with.

First, it will mainly borrow the general lines of the Concept X2 revealed a couple of months ago at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. Second, the model will be based on the same platform as the X1, which will make it wider and riding lower, adding a more appealing and aggressive design. It will also come with a revised grille, new front and rear bumpers, BMW logo in the D-pillar, lower roofline and so on, all favoring a soft-topped configuration.

In the engine department, the BMW X2 convertible might be offered with just a wide range of petrol burners alone. So far, the details list is rather limited, but we should be able to find out more in the upcoming period!

The fifth generation of 4-Series Convertible from BMW is now on the roads with better looks than the coupe, due to its retractable roof that best fits the description of a trunk-like profile.

The 2014 BMW 4 Series is redesigned to offer unique styling features like the vents in the front fenders, named “air breathers”, which work hand in hand with the air curtains in the front fascia, and also the design at the rear that helps the car reduce drag.

Inside, the interior sports new features like integrated front seatbelts and the cluster of three buttons in front of the armrest: two for the neck warmers and one for operating the roof.

There is also a mixture of soft leather texture along with some plastic features, but the BMW also offers stitched leather dash as optional.

As for the engine under the hood, the 2014 BMW 4 Series Convertible sports a relatively easy 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, delivered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter unit.

But the car runs so smoothly on the roads that you can`t end up loving the great looking convertible. Just enjoy the video and tell us if we were right or wrong about the car!

BMW announced quite a while back that they plan to separate the two door from the four door versions of what used to be the 3 Series into the same model plus the 4 Series one.

The 1 Series is about to get the same treatment, hence the seriously delayed introduction of coupe/convertible version of the F20 generation.

What the spy photographers have caught here is something internally called the F23 BMW 2 Series convertible. The drop top on sight is among the first chances we get at this body shape.

In theory, the 2 Series could bring the Bavarian brand back to its roots. It would be a compact sports car with great driving feel.

This is a spot that used to be taken up by the 3 Series at some point in its life (thinking around the E30 period) but given how much the car has grown to the F30, it’s now more of a 5er in terms of size.

Going back to the roots with the new 2 Series doesn’t mean that you’ll get the same sort of spartan equipment that was offered back in the ’80s.

BMW will be making the 2 Series with all the bells and whistles of modern driving life. The drivetrain lineup will also be impressive having sharp engines and serious transmissions.

It should be quite the interesting and exciting car, regardless of the coupe or convertible shape however there’s some bad news about its unveiling.

The first time we’re going to properly see the new F23 BMW 2 Series until next year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. That’s scheduled for 2013.
