The Germans at BMW decided to create a special video showcasing the new high-performance M4 fitted with M Performance parts.

This special BMW M4 Coupe comes with revised front and rear bumpers, new front splitter, side skirts and 19-inch M alloy wheels. You will also find an Alpine White finish with a contrasting roof, restyled mirror caps and side M graphics.

The double-spoke wheels also hide blue brake calipers while an Akrapovic quad-pipe exhaust looks nice in the back but also improves performance.

Enter the cabin and you will see several M Performance parts as well. There’s new aluminum inserts, carbon fiber accents, a revised steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara as well as a race display.

The BMW 2 Series has not been on the market for that long, but it has already found its way to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

There, some small overlap testing occurred and from the looks of it, the German car did rather well.

The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) has been doing this kind of test for quite a while now, and its activity has certainly improved car passenger safety. Basically, their job is to take a brand new car model, fill it with some high tech dummies and ram it into hard objects.

The small overlap test is a bit different from the frontal collision or lateral impact testing, and plenty of car makers still struggle to get good rating in it. But not BMW, as their 2 Series managed to get the Top Safety Pick + Rating from the IIHS. That is pretty much as high as it goes.

Ever since it was officially introduced, the BMW i3 has been in the attention of the media and even managed to grab a few prizes along the way.

But even with such a strong product, the German car maker isn’t just going to leave anything to chance, and the strong advertising campaign proves it.

To this end, they have flooded us with a lot of clips and pictures, highlighting various strengths in both design and performance. It seems BMW is determined to make the promise of an industry shift a reality. While this is a high standard even for BMW, as a newbie in the EV game, not many doubt it could be done.

This latest of video clips presents the BMW i3 model with right side steering wheel configuration. While most other clips focused on numbers and the core ideals behind the EV, this one seems to shift attention to the inside of the car, with plenty of coverage of the dashboard and inner trims.

While on the outside the car might be considered (by some) rather inconspicuous, the interior really shows that BMW did give it their all in designing this vehicle. You can see for yourself just below.

All the recent BMW advertisements have been either funny or to the point, so this one is a bit of an combo breaker. but just like a player can be spurred on by a fan-made Mexican wave, so can the Bimmer fan be uplifted by a nice BMW version of it. BMW released a new advertisement with a rather interesting punch line (or maybe a plot twist?), which I will not spoil for you.

The video presents the new 5 Series LCI, or more precisely, the fact that it comes with BMW’s ConnectedDrive system.

The ad comes online as the 5 Series LCI makes its debut in the US. The order books are open for any who would try their hand at driving this car, with the 528i variant costing 49.500 USD. This will get you 245 Hp and 350 Nm of torque under the hood. For those that are already familiar with what this car offers, the additional features will make the difference.

The British people from AutoCar decided to review two hot German models at the moment, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe and its rival from Porsche, namely Cayman R. If you don’t have to concern about Cayman R’s availability, the situation of the Bavarian model it is quite different and difficult.

Just few days ago, BMW announced that the 1 Series M Coupe will be pulled out of production in December this year, a pretty unpleasant news considering the allure of the smallest M and of course, the price tag, which makes it the most affordable M model ever created by BMW.

We already knew that the BMW 1 Series M Coupe is headed to a limited production of around 1,000 units but the premature production end makes us worry about the German model. However, regardless the uniqueness of the model, the German hatchback has to prove its capabilities in front of another model full of tradition.

For the beginning, we can relate to the performance figures of the two German models in order to see if there are major differences able to influent ate the final result. Therefore, BMW 1 Series M Coupe packs a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine able to develop 335 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.

With these resources, the Bavarian model is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,7 seconds thanks to a six-speed manual transmission while the top speed is limited at 250 km/h. On the other hand, the 2011 Porsche Cayman R benefits from a 3.4-liter engine that produces 330 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. Until now, there are not any big differences between the two models, therefore, we talk about a very tight battle.

When mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the Cayman R achieves an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds while the optional seven-speed PDK transmission cuts down 0,1 seconds. The top speed of Porsche Cayman R is 280 km/h but this will not affect the duel. In terms of price, Cayman R is slightly more expensive with a starting price of $66,300 while the 1 Series M starts at $47,010. With this been said, let’s hear the opinion of Steve Sutcliffe, the British journalists who had the opportunity to test the German models somewhere in the Scottish Islands.

Following the previous commercial for the new BMW 5 Series F10, the Bavarians reveal a new video which is not quite a commercial but it’s pretty dynamic and interesting to be considered a promoting material.

Called “The Chase”, the three-minute video features a tuned BMW M3 E92 as well as a modified BMW RR. The main reason of this video is to prove which is the best on the track, the motorcycle or the four-wheel vehicle.

Due to some minor adjustments operated by Akropovic Evolution, the BMW M3 E92 develops 442 horsepower from the 4.0-liter V8 engine while the BMW RR offers 198 horses which manage to bring the first place in the end of the video mainly due to the weight of just 197 kilograms.

The custom BMW M3 E92 also got some modifications in terms of weight, the scale showing in the end only 1,623 kilograms, not enough to beat the Bavarian motorcycle indeed. Make yourself comfortable and hit play at the following video being sure to turn the volume up in order to enjoy some high revs.

We talked you twice after the launch of this car and we also showed you some high res photos and some of them can also be found in this post. Anyway, we forgot what’s more important than photos namely the videos and as you can see in the title we also have an official video from BMW with this new 2011 BMW 5 Series Touring.

Honestly I don’t really like the touring versions of any car but if I would have to choose the perfect touring car, I think this would be because it is also the newest one.

The 4.4 liter V8 won’t be available on the launch but there will be available a 2.0 liter inline-four and also another much powerful one of 3.0 liter inline-six. If you want to use such a car for long trips or as a car of you firm, I think you should choose a diesel one.
