While BMW is busy testing out and preparing its latest models, Motorrad division is also in the works of latest superbike concepts. One of them has just been released in the media and is presumed to lead the way for a future bike in the Adventure Sport series.

Motorrad`s new concept is titled 9cento and represents “the ideal sports touring bike”, with a stylish and an extremely aerodynamic design. As the company also mentioned, the concept gives us a “look ahead to what an exciting new Adventure Sport model might look like.”

Besides the couple of details about its style, there are no any info concerning the amount of power it will come with. However, Edgar Heinrich, Head of Design at BMW Motorrad, gave us enough reasons to believe that the concept is fit to wear the carmaker`s badge, stating:

We’ve created a bike that combines the appropriate power with reliable sports touring properties and above all lots of riding fun, so it’s an attractive overall package. It brings together the best of the sports, adventure and touring segments to produce an exciting concept – in a class which has not seen this kind of model from BMW before.”

The BMW Motorrad Concept 9cento features an extremely appealing design, with plenty of new aluminum components, ’hovering’ side panels, nicely-sculpted fuel tank, as well as a windscreen which provides protection against the elements.

The new concept is also extremely practical, coming with an ”innovative storage space concept”, featuring a clip-element on the rear of the motorcycle. The bike can also be had with a rear passenger seat or storage case.

Mechanically, the Concept 9cento comes with a milled aluminum rear carrier and carbon fiber reinforced plastic frame, along with a touring-focused suspension system which provides increased comfort and a ”sense of light-footedness.”

I have never doubted the performance capabilities of the M4 GTS from BMW but there is no way the car could beat-up a BMW motorcycle in a drag race…not even in a million years. It is proven that motorcycles are way too fast than conventional cars, and that seems to be an impossible mission for the potent M4 GTS.

Even so, putting two BMW products altogether, no matter what they are (car or bike) it is a fun exercise to learn from each other, and the video below, provided by motoring.com.au, is just trying to do that. The video is giving us an up-close of the outstanding characteristics of both BMW products on a track test.

Even if today`s motorcycles are built to last, becoming safer and safer thanks to their plethora of safety systems and advanced mechanics, I would personally drive one during summer weekends and choose the BMW M4 GTS for some hefty throttling or driving session on the track. Even so, the thrill and the excitement you feel while being on an S1000RR bike don’t match those of the M4 GTS.

So there are plenty of advantages and disadvantages of driving an M4 GTS vs riding an outstanding BMW S1000RR. It just depends on what you want.

If you want an amazing car that literally sticks you to the seat, then take the BMW M4 GTS`s impressive performance and sprint – just 3.8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h achieved thanks to a high-performance system which comprises a conventional 3.0-liter turbocharged engine with water-injection technology, for an overall 493 horsepower.

Under the hood, you get to enjoy a lot of power, thanks to the 798cc two-cylinder engine, developing 90 horsepower, available at 8,000 rpm.

BMW customers worldwide not only get to enjoy the plethora of high-end models but also have the pleasure of testing out the latest concept bikes from the carmaker`s Motorrad division.

The 2016 EICMA taking place this week is gathering the latest motorcycle concepts and racers and BMW Motorrad will also be present with its most recent creation, the all-new HP-4 Race concept bike, in an effort to show the world that BMW is also attempting to build the most advanced bikes in terms of performance and manufacturing.

And indeed, what is so innovative about the all-new BMW HP-4 Race concept is that it is built entirely out of carbon fiber components. More than that, the wheels as well are made from the same materials, which sets a new benchmark in the biking segment.

And what better way to portray such an exquisite concept than releasing a short teaser video which shows everything we need about the new bike.

And even if the details are quite limited at the moment, we still could get our hands on bunch of news concerning its powertrain under the hood. We might be looking here at a 1000c inline four-cylinder engine with around 200 horsepower, adding the latest components and the right price.

Once released on the market somewhere next year, the BMW HP-4 Race will be a limited-run and will sit above the present S 1000 RR. Until further details, enjoy the teaser and the bunch of photos with the upcoming racer.

BMW has had a long rung this year with a lot of amazing models to release on the market or officially unveiled at the most important auto events of the year, but one of the most important achievements is the VISION NEXT 100 concepts, unveiled as tribute to a century of existence on the market.

The German based carmaker continues the VISION NEXT 100 saga with the Motorrad division, the one responsible for releasing extraordinary BMW high-end motorcycles. The latest concept to be released is the VISION Next 100 bike, called the “Great Escape”, an exceptional two-wheel ride which takes us further more to the future.

It is something that the biking industry has not envisioned so far, that contradicts all laws of physics at the same time, with its advanced aerodynamics.

The bike is mainly preserving the Motorrad`s signature in terms of design, yet featuring a unique styling which makes it unconventional at a first glimpse.

But at the same time, the VISION NEXT 100 bike shocks with the latest ergonomics and advanced technology. It comes with the Flexframe or the frame-assisted steering meaning that the bike is steered without the conventional joints that are presently found on the bikes today.

Also, the ergonomics of the bike also makes the rider safer while riding on strong winds, acting like a protective shield against weather elements. Speaking about the bike`s advanced aerodynamics, Edgar Heinrich, CEO Design at BMW Motorrad, better explains the situation:

“The BMW Motorrad VISION NEXT 100 embodies the BMW Group’s vision of biking in a connected world – an analogue experience in a digital age. Motorcycling is about escaping from the everyday: the moment you straddle your bike, you are absolutely free. Your bike is The Great Escape.”

It is not every day we get to see a car with cues from a motorbike, but MINI has done so with its latest Clubman ALL4 Scrambler Concept, which takes its inspiration from the BMW R nineT Scrambler bike. The model was released in Italy to celebrate BMW`s 50 years of existence on the local market.

As we can depict from the pictures, the MINI Clubman ALL4 Scrambler Concept adopts a dark body theme, highlighted by the Midnight Frozen grey color and different matte silver accents. The carmaker has also added the silver trim on the grille surround, headlight surrounds, roof rack and window trimmings.

The extra headlights up front, the luggage case on the roof and the five-spoke alloy wheels fitted with chucky off-road rubbers provide the model with a much sportier and aggressive look.

Inside, the MINI Clubman ALL4 Scrambler Concept is highlighted by Nappa leather and Alcantara, adding the “Scrambler” badges on the seats.

Under the hood, the MINI Clubman ALL4 Scrambler Concept is packing a 2.0-liter turbo flat-four engine, with 141 kW and 280 Nm of torque, which is enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a good 6.9 seconds.

We are not sure if the company is planning to launch a production version, but we will find out more at Valentino Park Motor Show, where BMW Group will present the concept along with other new models within the group.

In case you missed it, BMW recently unveiled the all-new Cruise M Bike Limited Edition as a celebration of the 2016 BMW M2 Coupe. And just as the name suggests, this M bike would be the mother of all bikes.

With an inspirational look from the M Coupe model, this bike is being offered in the Long Beach Blue metallic paint, which is one of the most preferable exteriors found on the M Coupe, the bike also featuring a hydro-formed aluminum frame with a standout “bullneck”, the same of a tank position on a motorcycle.

Additional features refer to smooth welded seams, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes as well as the 28-inch wheels. The BMW Cruise M Bike Limited Edition also brags with a 30-gear driving system and a carbon fiber seat post and spacer which make it stronger and lightweight.

And to make it quite distinctive than other biking products on the market, this gorgeous ride here is also wearing the BMW, M badging and a special plaque with the “BMW M Bike Limited Edition” name.

BMW has announced that only 1,500 Cruise M Bikes will be manufactured and will be available at selected BMW retailers. The M Bike will come with a base price of €1,400, and its release on the market in a couple of months will be a “very special experience”. AC Schnitzer released a press release for some new stuff they’re working off and we’re a little disappointed in the whole thing.

There’s no word of a car from BMW being involved, there’s not even any of their high end motorbikes showing up in the photos or announcement.

Believe it or not, this time they tuned a BMW bike. We wouldn’t have settled for the idea of a scooter but this is a little out of our comfort zone.

Don’t worry though, the BMW M Carbon Bike together with the AC Schnitzer package still has quite a bit of engineering to consider.

Who are we kidding here, the BMW M Carbon Bike is actually impressive for a bike. Just as impressive as the price tag which comes in at $3.579 in the U.S.

Healthy living is one thing but ending up spending thousands of dollars for a bike is a little over the top in cases like this.

The details of the equation sound pretty simple. The original BMW M Carbon Bike weighs in at 12.7 per cent more than this.

In order to achieve the difference AC Schnitzer used carbon fiber for all the bits that weren’t already made of it.

While the percentage of weight savings sounds impressive the actual loss is just 2.2 pounds as the German tuned bike (still can’t wrap it round my head) comes in at 15.2 lbs.

Just to make sure people notice the difference AC Schnitzer cover it up with a special livery that is just covered in the company’s badges.

The main products built by BMW are cars and then motorcycles. Well, I have to say that I love to see other products built by this amazing brand. So, as you can see, this time we are going to talk about a bike built by BMW, also named the BMW M Bike because it has the M logo on it.

Unfortunately we have only one photo with this BMW M Bike but it shows all we need to see at it. It will be a limited series production which makes me believe it will also be very expensive because I may wish one.

This BMW M Bike will come with disc brakes, matt anthracite M logo, leather saddle which is very pleasant on a hot day, some cool rims which can be seen in the photo from above, shiny red seat inlay, Shimano SLX gear system and Manitou Match suspension fork.

Some of you may say that this video is not useful and I don’t blame you because I was thinking the same thing at the beginning and I must admit that right now I’m thinking almost the same thing, I changed my perspective just a little bit and probably after you read the full post you will think the same thing.

Anyway, I bet that you will never have the chance to see such a thing in reality and not even to a small speed of the valves. Yes, in that video you can see the titanium valves of the BMW S1000RR motorcycle working at an amazing speed of 14,200 RPM.

I must say that I remained stunned after seeing this video, is like I wished something and now I really got the chance to see it exactly how it happens in reality so I hope your curiosity was also satisfied as mine or better.
