Good news for the young and restless generation in Europe, as the BMW German based carmaker has recently launched the official film with the 2015 BMW 1-Series, the video showcasing the upcoming model from a funny perspective.

We are talking here about a facelift carried out on the present BMW 1-Series, the 2015 model promising to come with a restyled body style and gorgeous design lines. Specialists have also confirmed that this particular facelift is perhaps the most successful facelift ever carried out on a BMW model.

The 2015 BMW 1-Series has been almost entirely reshaped at the front fascia and lights, the model now sporting larger air intakes, while other touches also redefine the rear end, for instance. The model will surely turn a lot of curious eyes while cruising the streets or on the road, because of its aggressive and much sportier body kit.

Unfortunately for BMW fans in the United States, the 2015 BMW 1-Series will be aimed for the moment solely for the European market, being manufactured in two versions and re-launching the battle against its top predators, like the Mercedes-Benz A-Class or Audi A3. After several leaked images and even a rendering, we finally get to see the 2015 BMW 1 Series facelift in its full glory as the German company decided to fully unveil the little hatchback.

Available in both three- and five-door variants, the new model comes with serious styling tweaks, new equipment inside and a total of nine versions, three of them also being available with the xDrive system. To begin with, the entry-level BMW 116i packs a 1.5-liter engine producing 109 horsepower while the next two versions, namely 118i and 120i, sport a 1.6-liter engine. The only difference between them is, of course, the output.

If the BMW 118i comes with 136 horses, the 120i has no less than 177 horsepower. More power is offered by the 218 hp 2.0-liter engine in the BMW 125i with the BMW M135i topping at 326 horses and 450 Nm of torque squeezed from a 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit. On the other hand, those of you looking forward to a more frugal car, there’s the BMW 116d with a 1.5-liter producing 116 horsepower.

A 2.0-liter engine with 150 hp, 190 hp and 224 hp equip the rest of the diesel range, namely the 118d, 120d and 125d respectively. With the engine range concluded, we have to take a look at the aesthetic changes that BMW prepared for us. The exterior boasts now LED daytime running lights with optional LED headlights with High Beam Assistant.

Revised bumpers, air intakes and kidney front grille are also available but that’s nothing unexpected. When you enter the cabin you will notice the high-gloss black detailing as well as the revised materials, a dual-zone climate control system, a tweaked infotainment system with a 6.5-inch display as well as a revised center console.

So, the most powerful 2015 BMW 1 Series facelift is the BMW M135i and its xDrive version (BMW M135i xDrive), both having 326hp. The BMW M135i has a top speed of 5,1 seconds (0-100km/h), respectively 4,7 seconds for its xDrive version.

The 2015 BMW 1-Series has popped-up in a rendering signed by the famous designer Theophilus Chin, highlighting the sporty model, before its official unveiling next year, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

As opposed to other renderings, showcasing some models just in terms of visuals, the 2015 BMW 1-Series is coming big time, and might use some of the key components seen in the rendering.

We might be talking here about a model wearing some revised features at the front and rear end, headlights which will now come with full LED, or the front grille being downsized to perfectly fit the front fascia.

But the most important changes will be carried out under the hood, where the 1-Series is rumored to be equipped with some diesel and petrol burners, adding the three-cylinder configurations.

The new three-cylinder units will become available under the B37 and the B38 monikers, also found on the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer, as well as on the MINI.

More than that, the BMW is also planning to use the four-cylinder options, for models like the 118d, the 120d, or the 125d, with power to range between 150 horsepower and 218 horsepower.

The long-rumored 2015 BMW 1-Series has recently shown up on the web in a rendering, previewing the model in a facelift, before heading towards the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

The rendering is signed by the famous artist Theophilus Chin and gives us a closer look at the future 2015 BMW 1-Series facelift.

The 2015 BMW 1-Series seen here might come with some slight changes at the body, meaning some optical tweaks both at the front as well as at the rear.

The good news is that the 2015 BMW 1-Series will also present some new powertrains under the hood, meaning a new four-cylinder diesel B47, for the 118d, 120d and 125d versions, coming with 150 horsepower in the first version, while the second will output 190 horsepower.

On the other hand, the BMW 1-Series 125 F20 LCI will output 218 horsepower.

Aside the new four-cylinder engines, the upcoming BMW 1-Series will keep the already used three-cylinder units B37 and B28, which means more fuel efficiency for the entry-level versions.

The BMW 1-Series hatchback is getting again in our attention, this time in a new batch of spy photos. The prototype in question is the 2015 model year, namely the facelift version of the small Bavarian model.

Styling tweaks include a revised front bumper, new double kidney grilles and restyled front optical blocks. The rear also gets a similar treatment with improved bumper and taillights.

Usually, carmakers camouflage the parts that are undergoing changes, therefore, expect some changes on the car’s sides, probably revised lines on the doors.

Entering the cabin you will find the new iDrive infotainment system alongside new materials and few other tweaks.

In terms of power, the 2015 BMW M135i should get a 3.0-liter turbocharged unit while the current engines might get some power tweaks as well. With the development of the new BMW 1-Series approaching its end, expect to see the facelifted model hit the showroom floors next year.

It seems that BMW is getting ready to launch the restyled BMW 1-Series as a prototype wearing less camouflage than before was spotted on the street. The German hatchback is expected to debut towards the end of this year and come with minor styling tweaks.

As the camouflage suggests, the modifications will be seen in the front and rear end, namely the bumpers and front grille.

The model pictured above is the sportier BMW M135i which should benefit from a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo delivering 326hp and 450 Nm of torque.

We also expect interior improvements but for now, there aren’t any images of the cabin.

Nowadays, every model has a limited life span, and when that ends, it’s time to bring out a new generation or a completely new vehicle to replace it.

Still, while it runs, the manufacturer still has to try and periodically freshen the design a bit. And that is what we call a facelift.

Next year, the BMW 1 Series is due to receive such a facelift, and Theophilus Chin was kind enough to present us with a rendering of a most likely outcome. Right away, we can see that the trend that has been going around BMW will probably keep on going.

While they say they want to greatly diversify their vehicle lineup, to offer something for every taste, they seem to miss the point of it. Not only do they want to reduce the number of platforms they are using, they also seem to homogenize the looks of certain vehicles.

Thus, the 3 and 4 Series might be technically different, but from a frontal view, they are hard to tell apart. The same seems to be in store for the facelifted 1 Series, which will only differ from the 2 Series thanks to its hatchback design.
