Whenever Dinan tuner pops-up online in a new project, especially if it is about a BMW M2, it has got to be something special, especially from what we have seen so far: powerful M2s with impressive upgrades under the hood.

Digital Trends auto magazine has recently had the chance of driving such a powerful model fine-tuned by Dinan, which is called the M2 S2, reffering to the car`s upgrade program under the hood. It also comes with impressive mechanics and characteristics that make the M2 a genuine racer.

According to Dan McNiff, who was interviewed by Digital Trends, the new model handles extremely well and is well-balanced while being on the road at high-speed. He also praised the car`s aerodynamics, stating:

“In stock trim the M2 is a well-rounded vehicle. It harkens back to the E36/E46 M3 days where the car was about balance in power and handling with a footprint that let nimbleness be a major contributing factor. Whereas most new cars have simply gotten bigger, softer, and try to compensate with more output, the M2 bucks that trend. We wanted to really emphasize what sets the M2 apart as a driver’s car while maintaining that overall sense of a well-rounded vehicle that is not simply all about a lot of power or creature comforts.”

As for the car`s main highlight under the hood, the BMW M2 Coupe by Dinan comes with an ECU remapping, which is considered the most important part of the car`s core. James Leong, also CEO at Dinan, has explained the importance of the new power kit:

“The backbone of any tuned setup is the engine tune itself, which allows optimization of boost, air, fuel, and lambda targets among other variables. The compressor wheel inside the turbocharger is increased in size allowing around 30 percent greater flow, thus enabling additional boost pressures at higher engine speeds while retaining efficiency. These are rebuilt factory turbos that are machined to Dinan specifications, along with an upgraded thrust system to ensure reliable and prolonged life.”

Thanks to the new power stage, the car`s engine is now capable of outputting an impressive 446 horsepower and 458 lb-ft of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less the standard figures. Unfortunately, the tuner has not revealed any details on that. Not just yet!

We have seen many projects by Dinan German tuner carried out on different BMW products and all we can say of when thinking of them, is that they all lead to the same idea: raw power and sheer performance.

Recently, the owner of this gorgeous 2003 E46 BMW M3 wanted to make the model more powerful and add a real distinctive engine soundtrack, and took his ride to Dinan`s shop for some serious modifications under the hood.

So the engineers had to add what they like to call their special DINAN S2 power upgrade, which significantly increases the car`s S54 engine with around 30 horsepower. Is it much, is it less? It is up to you to decide that.

Even so, the 13-minute video created by DINAN tuner itself, thoroughly highlights all the details on the new power upgrade, including all the modifications added to raise its boost.

Speaking about modifications, the E46 BMW M3 is now packing a new ECU Remapping, brand-new individual throttle bodies, new muffler and new air box, which make the engine extremely loud and increase the car`s power at the same time.

Mechanically, the E46 BMW M3 seen here in the video is also looking much lower, thanks to the new overhauled suspension system, new shocks absorbers, springs and camber plates and sway bars, all contributing to the new looks and increase aggressive stance.

Dinan is perhaps one of the most dedicated tuners in delivering outstanding power kits to BMW`s most appreciated models, and the M3 and M4 is amongst those to receive such a special treatment.

We are looking here at the fitting of the tuner`s custom power kit on both M3 and M4 that come with the Competition Package.

This means that aftermarket specialists have had to add some upgraded mechanics in order to make both models more powerful than the stock powers.

To cope with the new power, the M3 and M4 were fitted with new cold air intake, heat exchanger as well as custom exhaust system. The exhaust system alone allows an extra of 10 horsepower and 20 lb.ft of torque without fitting any other aftermarket mechanicals.

Also, Dinan have also added their special and custom-built cooler, which is 40 mm thick and comes with a 16 mm increase over the stock one. With the new cooling system, the efficiency is increased while the intake air is cooled down, all indicating the power boost.

So we have two power configurations – the BMW M3 and M4 with Stage 3 kit without the Competition Package, which offers a good 548 horsepower and 744 Nm of torque, while with the Competition Package and Dinan`s Stage 3 kit, the models can reach a total of 573 horsepower and 743 Nm of torque.

Dinan, under the direct supervision of CEO Steve Dinan, has been customizing cars for more than 20 years, with the tuner developing a special taste for BMW models in the last decade, and managing to transform each model into impressive rides.

Everybody wants a fast BMW and a few are those who actually get their hands on such a model. Otherwise, we just have to settle with watching one on different videos, while showing off with cool aftermarket power upgrades.

It is also the case of the famous tuner Dinan, which have been lately working on their latest project. It involves an S3 project carried out on the gorgeous and fast M235i, recently highlighted in the video below. It is fast, it is mean and does come with a serious of mods under the hood.

The Dinan S3 BMW M235i has received a lot of goodies, like a custom turbocharger, reworked engine softare, new intercooler and exhaust system, along with lower, stiffer suspension with beefier sway bars. Finally, a set of new BBS wheels have been also installed.

Even if the car is still under the work and the tuner has not yet released any details concerning the performance figures, the video mainly highlights the larger turbocharger, which produces a turbo lag, leading to an increase in power and torque.

The BMW M5 model has been recently upgraded by the famous Dinan tuning company, with the founder Steve Dinan himself to explain his passion about BMW and about his latest project, called the BMW S1 M5.

The BMW S1 M5 project involves some heavy modifications carried out by Dinan at the sports car`s performance, talking here about 675 horsepower and 644 kb-ft of torque.

As Steve Dinan explains, the power boost is totally achieved due to the performance parts installed by the tuning company, meaning a carbon fiber cold air intake, free flow exhaust system, as well as the new DINANTRONICS Performance Tuner, which helps the engine output such a huge power.

More than that, the power boost is also given by the negative camber front control arms, along with lightweight tubular Anti-Roll bars and the High Performance Adjustable Coil-over System that provides the M5 with a decreased body roll and more aggressive stance.

The American aftermarket specialists from the Dinan Engineering tuning have recently announced some power upgrades for 2015 BMW M3 and M4.

We are talking here about the Dinar`s Dinantronics Performance Tuner, which would maximized the increase of torque on both M3 and M4.

Dinan Engineering have also announced that their customed performance tuner would not affect the performance or the “long term dependability” of the M3 and M4.

Other performance tuners might cause some issues in the fuel mixture and ignition timing as well, because of the exhaust temperatures go up when boosting power.

Instead, the Dinan Engineering`s tuner is different, because “it can customize the fuel`s target mixture for bith the short and the long term,” as the tuning company self explains.

More than that, both the M3 and the M4 would be safe, as the power will lift while the engine keeps an adjusted air and fuel mixture.

Thus, the Dinan`s Dinantronics Performance Tuner will safely boost the power of the M3 and M4 from the standard 430 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, to an impressive 516 horsepower and 48- lb-ft of torque.

Dinan revealed a new tuning kit for the well-known F10 BMW M5, a model which already benefits from quite a lot of power in the stock version. The American tuner focused on performance tweaks and installed a free-flow exhaust system, a carbon fiber cold air intake and a special DINANTRONICS module.

Thanks to these improvements, the 4.4-liter V8 which normally delivers 552 hp and 680 Nm of torque is now capable to produce 675 horses and 872 Nm of torque.

Additional performance figures were not released but expect better acceleration and top speed numbers considering that the power improvements are quite significant.

At the exterior, Dinan’s BMW M5 gets 20-inch forged wheels, carbon fiber mirror caps, revised spoilers, a deck lid badge and an adjustable coilover suspension.

New front and rear tubular anti-roll bars are offered as well as negative camber control arms.

The guys from the famous Hooniverse tuning company has recently launched a video, showcasing and reviewing the one-off Dinan S3-R BMW 1M.

The Dinan S3-R BMW 1M is also sporting a carbon black exterior with a charcoal interior finish inside.

As seen in the video, we are looking here at a powerful BMW 1M model, being powered by the BMW N54 Dinan twin turbocharged unit, which develops a strong 444 horsepower and 450 ft-lb of torque.

In terms of handling and upgrades, the Dinan S3-R BMW 1M comes with the BMW`s wide fender flares and brakes, taken from the E92 M3, the Dinan springs and coil over suspension kit, or the Dindan`s 3-way adjustable tubular front anti-roll bar.

But talking about performance and upgrades, the Dinan S3-R BMW 1M is an absolute beast, as it comes with Dinan performance engine software which provides the boost pressure or the ignition timing.

More than that, the Dinan S3-R BMW 1M also sports larger turbochargers with customized Dinan wastegates, or the carbon fiber cold air intake and high capacity engine oil cooler.

A heavily customized BMW 1M Coupe by Dinan tuning company has become available on Craiglist at the right price of $79,000, while the standard version was put on sales at $47,030, back in 2011 when it first came on the market.

The famous aftermarket specialists from the Dinan tuning company has modified the 1M Coupe, to deliver more throttle and performance.

We are talking thus about the small and lightweight 1M Coupe now receiving a special treatment from Dinan tuning, which would eventually make the sportscar handle a great deal of grip.

The “Brutally Perfect” sports car, as the Road & Track magazine would call it, received the BMW N54 Dinan personal turbocharged engine, that now produces 444 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 450 lb-ft of torque, available at 3,300 rpm.

The engine of this rare BMW 1M Coupe is hooked to a six-speed transmission, with the sportscar managing to hit the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds.

There were only 740 units being sold in the United States when it was first launched in 2011 and perhaps this rare model will be sold in an instant on the web.
