The arrival of the all-new 2018 BMW X2, based on the X2 Concept revealed last year, is no surprise, the model being already previewed and spied numerous time. Now, a new spy video has emerged online, with the test mule running some snowy tests, presuming in cold Sweden.

We are looking here at a couple of test mules still wearing camouflage around the body, playing in the snow alongside their sibling, the BMW X1. And since it will share some similarities with the X1, their presence together is no coincidence.

The model is set to be wider and carrying a sleeker design than the X1, adding a new kidney grille, long bonnet, small boot opening, L-shaped taillights wrapped around edgy curves and a couple more, all contributing to a much more aggressive body style.

Inside, the cabin`s cargo capacity will also be improved, thanks to the shared UKL platform with other models within the model lineup and others within the group. Technology wise, the new X2 will borrow the same from the new 5-Series and 7-Series.

As for the engine lineup under the hood, the 2018 BMW X2 will feature a wide range of three- and four-cylinder engines, including a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbocharged or the much more potent 2.0-liter petrol to become the top of the line from the diesel`s lineup. As already previewed, the engines will come with a six-speed manual transmission or the Aisin-sourced eight-speed automatic gearbox.

As for the model`s direct competitor, the all-new 2018 BMW X2 will take on the likes of the new Audi Q3 or the GLA`s new edition from Mercedes-Benz. Infiniti is also joining the club with the newly arrived QX30. Stay tuned for more details on the model!

MotorTrend are well-known for their remarkable test drives and videos, putting together exciting cars with plenty of power and advanced aerodynamic.

And even if the BMW M2 Coupe is no match for the less powerful Chevy Camaro V6 with the 1LE package, it is still a fun video to see both hot models in action.

On the other hand, if we were to compare both cars` mechanics, the Chevy Camaro V6 definitely bits up the M2 Coupe, coming as well with plenty of high-performance bits and technical bits.

Starting with the BMW M2 Coupe, the model packs a 3.0-liter turbocharged I6 engine, developing 365 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, enabling a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. It is also wrapped with plenty of M Performance Parts, which makes it quite lightweight. As for the prices involved, it is also more expensive than the Chevy Camaro with around $17,000, for a total value of $55,000.

On the other hand, the Chevy Camaro V6 1LE is equipped with a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 with 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque, allowing the same sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. However, the sports car comes with plenty of new mechanics, like updated brakes, sportier suspension system, and so on.

With all these improvements, according to MotorTrend`s Jason Cammisa states that the Chevy Camaro`s huger body style provides a big disadvantage compared to the M2 Coupe`s smaller design, which confers increase aerodynamics and improved driving capabilities.

Even if the newest Ford Focus RS is no match for many other sports cars within its class, some new challengers might give it the proper headache, and that one might be no other than the hot M140i from BMW.

Video below, created by AutoTopNL has put together both outstanding models for an acceleration and sound check-up, both models coming with impressive driving capabilities and performance under the hood, and that thanks to their advanced aerodynamics.

The testing was carried out on Autobahn, in Germany, which is the perfect place for drag races or straight line challenges. But before you take a closer look at the video, please find below some information that you have got to know before placing your bet on your favourite model.

To start with our beloved BMW M140i, the top of the line variant from the 1-Series comes fitted with an I6 turbocharged engine, which develops 320 horsepower, being sent to the rear wheels via a high-performance automatic transmission with an open-differential. It also comes with the optional all-wheel drive system.

On the other hand, the Focus RS`s 2.3-liter turbocharged churns out 350 horsepower, paired to a six-speed manual and all-wheel drive, with new differential and some other fine mechanics, which all together makes it the favourite of our test.

In case you were wondering why putting an old-school M model against a new school…M model…the reason is pretty simple: we want to see how far has the auto industry advanced in terms of technology and sheer performance.

And the best way to find out is putting side-by-side the 2010 BMW M3 GTS and the all-new 2016 BMW M4 GTS. They both use advanced mechanics, increased aerodynamics and impressive powertrains. This is the EVO Magazine`s new test.

Even if there is a visible difference between the two of them, both come with rather similar power and same GTS mechanics. However, they are both so different at the same time. We should try pointing out the best features.

The 2010 was a very busy yet fruitful year for BMW, it was the year when the BMW M3 GTS came out standing on the E92 platform and featuring a massive 4.4-liter naturally-aspirated V8 engine, developing 444 horsepower at 8,300 rpm and 324 lb-ft of torque, available at just 3,750 rpm.

On the other hand, the new BMW M4 GTS, which sits on the same platform as the standard M4 – the F82 platform – comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo I6 mill, with around 500 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, available at 6,250 rpm.

The main difference between the two of them, besides the raw power in the M4 GTS, is that the new model comes with improved handling capabilities and grip, and more advanced mechanics – new carbon fiber ceramic brakes and suspension, as well as Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which pay an extremely important part on the track, particularly on tight corners.

On the other hand, the BMW M3 GTS is not that artistic as the M4 GTS on the road, meaning that you have got to have some skills to keep it balanced on the road, especially at high speeds, as the steering is not that precise as in the M4 GTS. But even with some extra effort in the corners, the M3 GTS remains a fun car to drive.

Autocar magazine is well-known for its exquisite tests and auto comparisons, with lots of exclusive models within different ranges to be put for the ultimate challenges.

With four main hybrids to dominate the mid-range segment at the moment, Autocar wanted to find out which one deserves the best appreciationa: the BMW 330e iPerformance, Audi A3 e-tron, Volkswagen Passat GTE or the Volvo V60 D5 TwinEngine?

For that, it had to take into consideration the exceptional driving dynamics of each model in question, power drivetrains, fuel-efficiency figures and full electric mile range.

Starting with the gorgeous BMW 33-e iPerformance, the plug-in hybrid model uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot and an 87 horsepower electric motor, delivering a total of 249 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. This allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, a 23-mile range of full electricity, as well as a combined fuel-economy of 148.7 mpg.

Next, the Audi A3 e-tron comes with the same 1.4-liter as the Passat model, adding however a less performance electric motor. The overall 201 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque makes the car run 29.8 miles on pure electricity, while the 100 km/h sprint is done in 7.6 seconds. It also come with a fuel-economy of a combined 166.2 mpg.

Volkswagen`s Passat GTE is the next in line, the good-looking saloon featuring the Group`s newest 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, for a total of 215 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The drivetrain allows it to take off from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds, adding a pure electric range of 31 mile, thanks to a 9.9 kWh battery. It also comes with a mixed fuel-efficiency of 166.0 mpg.

Finally, the Volkswagen V60 D5 TwinEngine comes with a fully-independent electric axle, with the rear axle being powered by an electric motor with 67 horsepower alone. Combined with the combustion engine, it develops a total of 228 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, and a 100 km/h sprint done in 6.9 seconds. The pure electric mile range is set 31.1 miles, while the mixed consumption stands at 156.9 mpg.

You get to decide which one is the best between all-four exquisite hybrids, but judging by Autocar`s official figures, it seems that the BMW 330e iPerformance leads the way!

Some exquisite BMW models were involved in some serious testing recently, which were put together by Autocar or Car Throttle auto magazines, with reference to the BMW 33e iPerformance or the gorgeous M140i hatch.

Now we embark on a new test put together by iNews magazine and which brings forward the all-new BMW 3-Series against the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Jaguar XE. The test involved the styling, interior technology and of course, performance under the hood.

The recent battle between BMW and Alfa Romeo is well-known, especially since it involves the new 3-Series and the Italian`s Alfa Giulia, both models coming with exceptional and exquisite features worth-mentioning. Not to mention the rivalry between the top of the line M3 and the Giulia`s QV, which is presently won by the latter one.

If we were to make a comparison between the first two, we could depict lots of features that differentiate both models. The 3-Series uses an all-wheel drive setup, which in such extreme winter conditions is an advantage against the Giulia`s rear-wheel setup. Speaking about the Jaguar XE, the British sports car in its latest generation also comes with an all-wheel configuration.

In the engine department, there is no coincidence that all three models were put together, as they come with rather the same configuration and power figures.

We are looking here at 2.0-liter turbo-diesels, which in the 3-Series develops 188 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while in the Jaguar, it comes with 178 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the Giulia`s 2.1-liter allows 178 horsepower and 32 lb-ft of torque, pretty close to the Jag`s technical specifications. More than that, all three models come as well with automatic transmissions.

Following a recent video which highlighted the gorgeous looks – both the exterior as well as the interior – of the all-new BMW 1-Series 125i Sedan, destined for the Chinese market only, the model in question was recently caught on Munich`s streets, in Germany, while quietly resting in a car park, just outside the company`s main testing facility.

The three spy photos were added by a BMW purist via Bimmer Today auto magazine and is showcasing the 125i Sedan wearing a slight camouflage at the front and rear end, meaning that the model is performing some road tests.

Officially unveiled at the 2016 Guangzhou Auto Show in November, the new 125i Sedan comes with a fresh look, highlighted by a wider platform and longer wheelbase. This means increase space inside and a suite of interesting mills under the hood.

Amongst the car`s top styling features we should mention the double kidney grille and double round headlights, short overhangs and long bonnet, as well as the already familiar “Hofmeister-Knick” styling, which increases the car`s aggressive attitude.

In the engine department, the model is equipped with three engines, the 118i, 120i and the 125i. The first one comes with a 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo engine three-cylinder with 136 horsepower, followed by the 120i`s and the 125i`s 2.0-liter TwinPower flat-four with 192 horsepower and 231 horsepower, respectively.

The China-only BMW 125i Sedan will be produced in joint venture with Brilliance Auto in Shenyang, China, and will become the direct competitor of the all-new Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA. Full prices and details will be unveiled at a later date.

If a couple of years, a possible BMW X7 flagship was just a dream put on paper, today we have the chance of seeing it gradually become a reality. The model was recently seen in new tests out in the snow.

Slated to arrive in 2018, the carmaker`s top SUV might be officially unveiled at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, this November, or prior to its debut, at the 2018 NAIAS, in Detroit. But until then, BMW is keeping the model under heavy camouflage, which indicates that there is still much work to be done.

The model is going to be huge, definetely the hugest project that BMW has ever created, and that because of the increasing demand of bigger and bigger SUVs.

As we can depict from the spy photos below, the test mule is wearing heavy camouflage, meaning that it will come with a new daring approach in terms of styling. The camouflage conceals the extra body panels, the front fenders, as well as the front and rear doors, indicating significant changes that will make it extremely evolutionary in design. Also, the big kidney grille with the center hood reveal an aggressive attitude as well.

However, there are body parts that are not camouflaged, like the roof, which depicts the car`s silver rails or the huge panoramic glass, while at the rear, the prominent exhaust tips is a clear indication of the SUV`s impressive engine portfolio.

As the all-new BMW 6-Series Coupe and Convertible or the upcoming 5-Series Gran Turismo, the BMW X7 will also stand on the company`s new CLAR architecture, meaning increase space inside for passengers and cargo, adding as well a wide range of engines.

The 2016 BMW M2 Coupe is popping-up in our news again and not in a gorgeous tuning program carried out by Vorsteiner of AC Schnitzer, the model appearing in a road and track testing against the Alfa Rome 4C Spider.

Considering the fact that we have seen the M2 taking on massive and more powerful supercars, it was a common and logic thing to see it being compared to a much more alike model, like the 4C Spider.

The testing was carried out by Roadshow team from CNET, the guys taking both cars and compare them face-to-face. Surely, each car comes with its own ups-and-downs in terms of styling, chassis, weight figures and more importantly, their performance under the hood.

From the start, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider comes with a carbon fiber chassis, which makes it more lightweight, but comes with the disadvantage of the extra reinforced parts for the missing roof, while the M2 Coupe comes with an M styling, all adorned with high-performance elements.

From a performance perspective, both models come with impressive engines under the hood. The M2 Coupe packs a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 365 horsepower, while the 4C Spider uses a smaller displacement, in the shape of a 1.8-liter, with 237 horsepower.

However, we shouldn`t judge a book by its cover, and the 4C Spider isn’t what it was expected to be. Even if it comes with a smaller engine, it is a little bit faster than the M2 on the track, and that because it comes with a non-power steering drips and a mid-engine carbon fiber chassis, which makes it faster.

On the road however, the odds favor the M2 Coupe, and that`s because it comes with the perfect suspension and balance, enough to make the steering accurate and precise. So, which one do you think has one the testing?

As some of you might suspected…or not…the guys from Roadshow declared the BMW M2 Coupe as the better car, and that thanks to its precise handling, driving capabilities and perfect balance.

BMW is busy testing out its latest rides, with the upcoming G30 5-Series getting closer and closer to its final looks. The hardcore F90 M5 from the 5-Series has been also seen undergoing last test at the Ring.

Even if the model is still unfinished, the German based carmaker wanted to highlight the car` exquisite design and driving dynamics and invited media representatives to see the future G30 5-Series in action. One to be present at the driving test was no other than Autocar.

The guys from Autocar had the chance of driving the model and getting their opinions on the paper, and the reviews were quite positive, the car`s main highlights being highly praised below:

“It’s safe to say this is the best-riding 5 Series yet. The new chassis imbues it with a more cosseting and controlled feel over any given road than its predecessor. It is very accomplished, whether coping with high-frequency bumps around town or more undulating topography at higher speeds out on the open road. It’s quiet, too. Indeed, tire roar is very well suppressed, indicating it will be a brilliant motorway cruiser.”

As we already know, the future G30 BMW 5-Series is standing on the company`s latest CLAR platform, meaning that it sheds off around 100 kg by making use of carbon fiber reinforced plastics, the same one underpinning the 5-Series Touring, F0 M5 or the new 7-Series. This will increase the car`s handling, stability and performance.

As for the engine lineup under the hood, the G30 BMW 5-Series will keep the same 518d and 520d versions, but will add a new 2.0-liter flat-four engine in the 530i, with 252 horspeower, while the 540d will come fitted with an upgraded B57 3.0-liter twin-turbo. The top of the line 550i will make room for the M5550i, which will stand between the 540i and the F90 M5 already seen at hard testing.
