There is no doubt that BMW needed some serious purging in the M lineup, and after announcing the arrival of the BMW M4 CS in a matter of months, the Bavarian carmaker is reportedly planning to release the all-new M2 Competition which would replace the present M2.

According to a new report, the BMW M2 will be ditched in favor of the long-expected M2 Competition, which would be officially unveil on April 25, prior to the Beijing Auto Show.

That being said, the new 2018 M2 Competition will be more muscular in design and more powerful than the current M2. And that until the German carmaker will released the top notch M2 GTS in 2019, with performance worthy of the M4`s newly announced GTS.

We are not sure how the new 2018 BMW M2 Competition will look like, but given the last year`s renderings with the model (which can be seen below), we could depict heavy use of carbon fiber, which will make it lightweight and more powerful.

We expect revised styling bits, with carbon fiber front and rear aprons, aggressive lip spoiler on the trunk-lid and more standout rear diffuser.

As for performance under the hood, the new M2 Competition is set to come with similar figures as its big brother the M4. It will actually use the S55 inline-six engine but will come with a detuned power. According to recent reports, we expect around 404 horsepower, which is quite impressive, given the M4`s stock 425 horsepower.

As for transmission, it is more than likely that it will use the same seven-speed dual-clutch as standard, while the manual transmission will become optional. That would enhance the car`s sprint from 0 to 100 km/h from 4.3 seconds in the current state, to just 4.0 seconds in the M2 Competition guise. Just like the M2 or M3/M4, the new M2 Competition will also come with an electronically limited speed of 250 km/h.

Following a series of spy photos some while ago, the all-new 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV is back into the spotlights in a couple of new renderings and a video, which highlight the car`s future design and styling.

The renderings and video (with the making of these renderings) called “THIS IS IT” are signed by digital artist Peisert Design and offer a realistic approach on the SUV`s production final form. The renderings are also based on the spy photos.

Details with the new 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan have been revealed before; however, for those who missed out our latest posts on the Cullinan, should know that the gorgeous and long-expected SUV will borrow most of the design lines from the new Phantom.

Besides the striking resemblance with the Phantom, the new Cullinan will also come with features of its own, such as new front bumper with aider air intakes, shorter grille like the one seen in the renderings, or wider headlights. At the back, the model will also feature suicide rear doors and a raked D-pillar.

As for interior highlights, the latest spy photos also provided some clues with the new features. Just like the exterior, the cabin will also borrow styling elements from the same Phantom. However, it will add details of its own, like center console between the seats with a more conventional look, traditional analog clocks for the instrument binnacle, digital display and much more.

It is already known that the new Cullinan will be using the same aluminum architecture like its counterpart the Phantom, yet it will be much shorter and sporty than the latter. Under the hood, the model will feature the Phantom`s massive 6.7-liter twin-turbo engine, with around the same power and torque – 563 horsepower and whopping 900 Nm of torque, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and featuring an all-wheel drive system.

The British-based luxury car manufacturer will unveil the all-new Rolls-Royce Cullinan in 2018, with full details to be announced prior to its official debut.

There is no doubt that the current generation Rolls-Royce Wraith is one of the most outstanding high-end models from the British manufacturer, that perfect mix between luxury, aggressiveness and strong personality.

And in case you were wondering how the future model would look, let`s say in three years from now, then just take a look at the renderings below signed by three render artists, each one having to deal with different styling parts.

The render artists come from Russia and are well-known for their extravagant renderings carried out on extravagant models. One of those is the 2020 Rolls-Royce Wraith envisioned below.

Vladimir Panchenko, Artem Smirnov and Sergiy Dvornytskyy have joined forces to create a unit Wraith, with an extraordinary design and worthy of all our appreciation.

The renderings recently showed-up on Behance, and depict the model wearing a special livery that only the UAE (United Arabian Emirates) Police currently own in their own stock, especially since they have recently commissioned some nice Phantoms, designed however for touristic purpose.

Besides the aggressive police livery, the renderings also present the future Wraith with more aggressive front and rear bumpers, adding as well the black metallic exterior wrap which fine-detail the car`s every single design line.

Otherwise, the rest of the design – front grille, the coach doors, headlights and taillights – still remind us that we are dealing here with a genuine Wraith, which will not loose its true identity not even in a hundred years. The BMW 8-Series is popping up in our news again, after the high-end model was also rumored online to spawn a much more potent M8 version, making it thus the most powerful in its class.

Now we have a fresh batch of renderings signed by L`Autombile, which is showcasing the 8-Series wearing a two-door coupe and a convertible body styling and the same aggressive design we have been accustomed with ever since the first renderings were launched about six months ago.

The future 8-Series is also envisioned here with a much sportier attitude, accentuated by the long hood, short overhangs, sloping roofline, Hoffmeister Kink and other new styling bits that can also be found on the present 7-Series.

As we already know, BMW is planning the arrival of the 8-Series in the shape of a coupe. Once it will emerge on the market in a couple of years, the all-new model will stand on the same UKL platform, also underpinning the likes from 5- and the 7-Series, meaning lightweight materials for high-performance and increase driving dynamics. The 8-Series will also borrow most of the engines found on the 7-Series, adding some impressive power boost.

On the other hand, the future M8 would come with more than 600 horsepower onboard, all squeezed from a new 4.0-liter V8 engine. With the new power, the M8 would be capable to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds.

BMW`s 6-Series in its present generation, with the hallmarks 6 Series Coupe and Grand Coupe, lacks a potent version that would revive the lineup`s once glorious times.

But according to new report, the German based carmaker is planning to introduce two future models, the 6 Series GT and a hardcore M6 GT, both presuming debuting somewhere in 2018.

Based on the previews discussion and leaks, X-Tomi Design has recently released two renderings of how the future BMW 6 Series GT and top of the line M6 GT would look like in the future, both being envisioned on the recently unveiled 5 Series Sedan.

Despite the similarity in looks with the 2017 BMW 5 Series, the future 6 Series and M6 would come with a wider body and longer wheelbase, adding a more luxurious yet aggressive look.

The 6 GT would take its overall design from the first generation but with styling bits from the present BMW products, with flowing headlights into the kidney grille, or new slopping roofline, and increased sporty lines on the sides.

The cars` interior will also add sporty lines, along with high-end materials and the latest technology found on all flagships from BMW, including autonomous driving, free-standing LCDs and much more.

Once arriving on the market in 2018, the 6 Series GT range will comprise a wide array of petrol burners from 630i to 640i, or diesels, from 620d to 640d. The 640i xDrive will also join the club and will be first introduced on the United States market.

BMW is trying to achieve perfection with the long-rumored 8-Series, which is said to be the most technologically advanced vehicle from its segment.

We have had the pleasure of seeing the future 8-Series through a lot of renderings, which showcased the model quite close to the 7-Series or the Gran Lusso Concept. The latest renderings signed by Giom Image Art are also foreseeing the concept with some styling cues taken from the 6-Series Gran Coupe.

As we can depict from the renderings, the BMW 8-Series Concept is based on the 6-Series chassis, but is 100 mm lower, coming with the classic lines, highlighted by “the 70’ shark nose design” at the front kidney grille. The rear end adopts a rounder styling which has nothing to do with the classic 8-Series.

Giom Mouton, the rendering designer of the BMW 8-Series says that “it is not difficult to come up with beautiful BMW designs since the inherent BMW DNA is already close to perfect. Especially when it comes to large coupes. The focus is on proportions. You get those right and the rest simply falls into place.”

Rumors have it that the carmaker is also planning a 9-Series, based on the next-gen Rolls-Royce Phantom, with an engine lineup comprising the 3.0-liter petrol and diesel engines, along with a 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged, and a hybrid version.

Based on the latest spy shots with the 2016 BMW M2, the famous German auto online magazine Autobild, has managed to showcase the upcoming baby M in two renderings. The renderings might not portrait the final production version, but they provide a wild guess on the model would look like, when it will eventually enter production, somewhere in November.

We already know from the spy shots with the camouflaged 2016 BMW M2 that the little sports car might come with a wide air intakes and a much sportier bumper. The renderings are also showcasing these body style parts, along with the full LED headlights taillights that would add up a fresh look to the overall body design.

A strong case for debating was the engine that the baby M would also come under the hood. Previously, some reports stated that the 2016 BMW M2 might come fitted with an upgraded N55 TwinScroll, and now it is almost sure that the sports car will use this particular engine. Other reports also stated the use of the B58 3.0-liter, or the less-powered S55.

The upgraded N55 engine is actually the same one found on the hot-looking M235i sports car, but on the M2, this one will output around 370 HP. Unfortunately, the performance details is still kept hidden! But we should expect fresh news soon enough, perhaps in summer, where the 2016 BMW M2 is likely to be unveiled!

The guys from Auto Moto have recently launched some new renderings with the upcoming 2016 BMW X1, the SAV being just that close to its final production. We have no idea whose renderings are these, but they surely represent the car`s closest approach before entering production.

As seen below, the 2016 BMW X1 might seem to be a little different from the present X1 SAV, the model now coming with a rounded front, more sculpted hood and more aggressive front fascia. Concerning the headlights, these have also suffered minor changes, now being sleeker and complemented by the thicker chrome frame on the grille. The body style is also rounded up by the now widen air intakes.

Inside, the model will come with more space, as the 2016 BMW X1 SAV is now coming with a front-wheel drive layout, the same also seen on the 2-Series Active Tourer, which improves the driving dynamics and skills. Other similarities with the Active Tourer also involve the usage of the high-quality materials used on the seats, steering wheel and dashboard.

And to make things complete, the BMW German based carmaker has also announced the introduction of an xDrive version, meaning that the 2016 BMW X1 will receive a four-wheel drive layout as well.

The BMW German based carmaker is currently working on a lot of vehicles that would revive some of its important model lineup, like the 1-Series, the 3-Series, the 5-Series, as well as the 2-Series, concentrating its attention towards the 2-Series Gran Tourer model.

We already know that the BMW 2-Series Gran Tourer F46 will be first unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, but some recent renderings, showcasing the model in a seven-seater body style, has been released by the famous X-Tomi Design. The renderings are revealing a future 7-seater Gran Tourer, given the fact that the upcoming model is long enough to sport a third seat row.

In case it will be launched, and rumors have it that there are big chances for this to happen, the BMW 2-Series Gran Tourer 7-seater will resemble its stock model, coming with the same UKL platform, with rather the same design cues, longer wheelbase, as well as a reduced sloping line.

But the best part of the BMW 2-Series Tourer 7-seater will be the additional space at the back, as the third seat row ca be folded for luggage or other children`s stuff.

Under the hood, the BMW 2-Series Gran Tourer 7-seater will be fitted with the same engines, meaning a choice of three- or four-cylinder units, while a plug-in hybrid will also emerge on the market, as expected. The performance and the pricing details are scarce for now, but we will be able to find out more in the upcoming period.

The BMW X2 is ending up in our news again, with the model to be launched online in two new renderings signed by the famous designer Theophilus Chin.

The BMW is continuously working on its compact crossover lineup, preparing to launch the future X2 model, especially since the sporty crossover was caught on shots while wearing some camouflage on public roads.

This time, the BMW X2 is not just a mere imagery exercise, as the model will eventually come, perhaps taking its inspiration from these two renderings, with the model to receive a sloping roof line in a three-door body.

Rumors say that the future BMW X2 will come with a front-wheel drive layout, presently found on the 2-Series Active Tourer.

The upcoming X2 will be based on the new-gen X1 as well, which is set to be launched in a few years, with the X2 following shortly.

In terms of technology, it would be logical that the BMW X2 will also come tweaked with the same gizmos inside as its bigger brother, the X1.
