The BMW i8 is by far one of the most futuristic looking car models that exist today. Its design lines seem to have been brought out straight from a science fiction movie. At this year’s LA Auto Show BMW showed a variant of the i8 that will soon reach production, the BMW i8 Roadster.

Just like the original i8, the i8 Roadster is a futuristic looking vehicle. The design has been kept pretty much the same. The only visible difference is that the BW i8 Roadster, as the name suggests, lost its roof in favor of a mobile soft-top. The BMW i8 Roadster seems sportier on account of it losing its hardtop. The retractable roof is capable of fully deploying in a mere 16 seconds. It can also be activated without fully stopping the car.

The interior has also been adapted to fit the new personality of the car. Just like in the case of the original BMW i8, it keeps the futuristic look, which in turn gives the car a cohesive look and feel. The newly added badges complete the car’s new look. The BMW i8 Roadster seems like a fun car to drive. With the roadster, BMW has also attempted to attract a different buyer segment than previously. The car looks and feels sporty while also being eco-friendly.

The engine of the BMW i8 Roadster has been kept virtually the same. It outputs 228HP and is the result of a hybrid type system that uses both a small petrol engine and an electric motor to give this car all the power it needs. It does 0 to 100km/h in about 4 seconds. The folks over at BMW claim that there is no change in performance for the Roadster in comparison with the original BMW i8. Given the fact that the engine hasn’t changed and neither has the overall structure of the body, the performance of the car should be the same as in the case of the original BMW i8.

No matter how you look at it, the BMW i8 Roadster is a welcomed addition to the BMW family. While it retains the original spirit of the BMW i8, the Roadster adds quite a lot of fun factor. Combined with the already defining eco-friendly aspect, the BMW i8 Roadster seems like one of the most complete road experiences you can get out there.

Probably one of the most interesting vehicles shown at the LA Auto Show this year is the BMW X7 iPerformance Concept. While it undoubtedly has that BMW personality we’ve been used to with all of the Bavarian automaker’s models, the X7 is one of the few attempts at introducing some new ideas to the already quite know formula.

One of the most talked about features of the BMW X7 iPerformance Concept regards the vehicle’s iconic kidney grilles, a feature that has BMW fans divided in those who favor and those who dislike the way this particular feature has been implemented in the X7 design. The main problem signaled by those that have criticized the design of the kidney grilles revolves around their exaggerated size. The front side of the car is dominated by the grille’s presence.

Aside from this aspect, the design of the BMW X7 iPerformance Concept is refreshing, sophisticated and futuristic. The integration of LED lighting systems was a must. The design lines of the car give it an aggressive look. The most interesting part of this particular concept model is represented by the size and shape of the front and rear lights. They are small in size and sharp looking. They fit perfectly with the design particularities of the BMW X7 iPerformance Concept.

On the performance side, the BMW X7 iPerformance has been rumored to include a 4.4 liter bi-turbo V8 amongst its options. This particular engine will be capable of outputting 445HP, which is more than enough for any speed freak out there looking to get an adrenaline rush. The performance seems to be on par with the exterior look of the car. This particular BMW future model has attracted quite a lot of attention.

Overall the BMW X7 iPerformance Concept looks like a promising addition to the BMW SUV fleet. Provided that minor changes are authorized, especially regarding the front side of the vehicle, the X7 iPerformance will be situated, without a doubt, on the road towards glory. All that remains to be seen is the look and feel of the official BMW X7 that will eventually hit production. Until then we can only speculate in regards to the future of the newest addition to the BMW SUV fleet. Even in the current form, the BMW X7 iPerformance Concept is a vehicle that most BMW fans would dream about having in their collection.

While Europe is already enjoying the i3 and has seen plenty of the i8 sportscar, the American market had to made due with only what the internet offered.

Well, no more, as the German car maker has finally brought the two models on display at the Los Angeles Motor Show.

While the first peaks were only reserved for press representatives, the i3 didn’t fail to make a great first impression on the new continent. It seems that some 8.000 orders have already been placed, taking the manufacturer by surprise. BMW is even considering increasing the capacity the plants work at, in order to avoid delays in delivery.

The BMW i8 can’t be ordered yet, but considering the success of the i3, chances are good that the sportier hybrid will also sell, even if it’s still a few months out. As for the small i3 EV, the US pricing will start at $41.350, but since government incentives are almost a certainty, you can expect to pay less.

The brand new line of vehicles from the Bavarian car maker have been making news all over the world.

Both the BMW i3 and i8 were designed from the ground up as electric, respectively hybrid vehicles, and they bear the promise to change the industry.

With the BMW i8 sportscar already presented to the world for the first time at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, it is time that the US market get a closer look at the model. This will happen at the 2013 LA Auto Show, and event greatly anticipated by the American enthusiasts in no small part thanks to the i8.

Even if it only has a 363 Hp and 570 Nm of torque output from the hybrid system, the BMW i8 is still regarded as one of the best sportscars to emerge in 2013. The US market will have to wait until next year to actually get the opportunity to grab an i8, and then they will have to part with $135.700 to buy it.

First, I have to tell you that the photos are not revealing so much things from BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept because on the internet there are a lot of photos with it from Auto Shows and now you can find anything about this car just by making a simple Google search or even a search on this blog.

As some main details about this new BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept, it has a consumption of just 3.73 liters for 100 kilometers and 99 grams of CO/2 of emissions which is more than great because at this little requirement of fuel, it develops a big amount of power.

I think I can say that this is one of the most massive and at the same time powerful car built by BMW. Also, after they launched BMW X6 they had a lot of success with this gorgeous car and at the same time it had part of many good comments.

Anyway, I told you in a previous article that BMW will be present at the L.A. Auto Show with the ActiveHybrid cars and also with the BMW EfficientDynamics Concept but this time we will talk only about the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and as a first thing, you can see the photos with it from the L.A. Auto Show in this post.

This new BMW ActiveHybrid X6 will cost $90,000 and the same price will have the BMW X6 M which is not a good thing because most people don’t think about our planet and all they want is to have the most powerful car in the city.

This is one of the most luxury unreleased cars from what I see and I have to tell you that I realized that this new BMW ActiveHybrid 7 is very similar to the latest BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo and the aspect is almost identic, anyone can notice this fact.

Anyway, this will still be a great car, and at the same time, it will be very unique. As I said in the title and also in another post, BMW ActiveHybrid 7 has been presented at the L.A. Auto Show and you can see some pictures with this car at that Auto Show in this post.

This new BMW ActiveHybrid 7 is so close to be launched into the international market and more exactly, this will happen in the spring of the next year. At the moment we have to say that we know all the details about this hybrid so now we have to wait just few months until the release.

BMW presented the new BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and also BMW ActiveHybrid 7 at the L.A Auto Show. Also, BMW announced plans about these cars for the North American market. One of the things that they said there is that BMW ActiveHybrid X6 price will start from $89,725 and it will have under the hood a twin turbo charged V8 engine that will be able to develop up to 400 horsepower.

BMW ActiveHybrid 7 has a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine and a synchronous electric motor sitting between the engine and the torque converter developing a total of 455 horsepower and a torque of 516 lb-ft.

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept’s engine can develop up to 356 horsepower and a torque of 590 lb-ft. You may notice now that BMW put an accent on these types of cars: hybrids; which is a very good thing because probably after 20 years, on streets will be only full electric cars.
