In the past BMW have won quite a few awards for various achievements related to their business. Though I’m a big fan of the engine of the year ones, the favorite is else were.

The constant stream of sustainability titles is what I love the Bavarians for. Essentially, they’re not only bringing us joy right now, they will be here for a long time in the future as well.

As recent proof of these constant efforts to stay on top, BMW recently told us about their keeping of original forecasts and predictions in finance.

BMW’s CEO Norbert Reithofer has now stepped forward in order to give us another bit of news about the sustained efforts of the company.

The focus this time is not the money bag, but rather something that’s sapping into the funds. Yes, it’s the electric car they’re advocating under the i brand.

If the BMW i4’s unveiling at the LA Auto Show wasn’t enough of a giveaway, it seems that the Bavarians are willing to spend on this sort of technology.

They know that it’s going to lose money for now, and for quite some time in the near future, so why are they doing it?

Why is a company that’s careful with its money interested in wasting some of it? The simple reason is that it’s not actually a waste.

Over the longer term, the electric vehicle is going to be the profitable way to go. If we’re talking about sustainability, that’s the sort of thinking you need to get on.

Those wacky business folk, they always drive around in their clown cars, wear lime green shoes and have flowers that squirt water in their top pocket.

Actually, that’s exactly the opposite of business men and their conformism sometimes makes the cars made for them very annoying.

Despite this, some of the business men have a decent sense of when the time for excitement is nearing. That’s the case for BMW NA CEO Ludwig Willisch.

He may be trying to cash in on the sort of stuff that’s on the way but he does want to make an effort to see BMW give the customers a treat as well.

How? Willisch is rooting for the development of a M7, an M Division built version of the F01 BMW 7 Series. The idea came about with rivalries in mind once again.

It seems the Mercedes S63/S65 duo is quite problematic for the 760Li and that Audi’s rumors of an S8 model might not be very far off.

The point is that BMW should fight back the other two German rivals and they should hit hard. If you’re thinking it sounds good you should check out the following ideas he’s having:

The M Division should build a special version of every single model in the BMW range. He made a bit of a special effort to mention the sales potential of the X1 M and X3 M.

We’d like to kindly remind him of the BMW Z4 M roadster and the coupe as well, which is an awesome track day car.

Oh and one more thing, there’s more and more talk of carbon fiber being used in more mainstream BMW models, it could even reach the next generation of the 3 Series.

According to sources quoted by with egmCarTech, BMW have recently held a clinic group study on the east coast and west coast to show owners a new entry-level hatchback.

The model, which will fit below the 1-Series (which is odd since I was thinking the 1 Series was going to be the smallest car they made unless they wanted to produce a 0), will feature traditional BMW styling in hatchback form and will be built on the company’s upcoming front-wheel-drive platform.

BMW purists shake at the hearing of these words, front wheel drive, what has this company come to? To be honest though, it might not be that bad as the revived Mini which is a BMW project is a great handling car.

Speaking of the Mini, the new generation of models will be sharing the basis of this small hatch FWD BMW entry-level and that basis will be the front-wheel-drive architecture the company is working on, according to BMW CEO Norbert Reithofer.

And as the next generation of Mini this new BMW is set to have a debut within the year 2014. Development boss Klaus Draeger has confirmed this and also mentioned that the size group for the new BMW will be in the same playing field with the Volkswagen Golf and the Scirocco.

The car in the picture looks familiar, doesn’t it?

This is what the people from BMW though when they pressed charges against the Shuanghuan CEO, a car which seems to be the sister of the X5. The trial is finished and the judge has decided that the two cars have nothing in common. This car was selled in 200 units until this point, but they plan on selling at lest 1200 more in Europe in the next year. The sentience was ruled by an Italian court and BMW is not happy about it. In the end, they were the one who created the BMW X5 and you can’t say that the car doesn’t look much like it. We can’t know for sure if the plagiarism was indented or not, but the cars are very similar.

At this point, the Shuanghuan CEO is still being sold and many units will roll off the factory line in the next years.
