With the recent adaption of SUVs such as the Range Rover Evoque, it seemed sensible for BMW to try the same move, offering Coupe and Cabriolet models of one of its smaller SUVs in production, an SUV like the BMW X2. The people over at BMW neither confirm nor do they completely deny the possibility of such a move.

With the recent diversification of SUV models going on, it seemed sensible for BMW to follow the same trend. Offering a Coupe or Cabriolet variant of the BMW X2, for those looking to buy something more extravagant than your average BMW SUV may still be something BMW has planned. As they put it, the information can’t be confirmed. This being said, the information is not denied either, which basically means we’ll have to wait and see what BMW’s next move will be regarding this specific subject.

While there have been quite a few renditions of what the BMW X2 would look as a Convertible and Coupe, none of them proved to be the real deal. They have convinced most, however, of the success such version could enjoy, provided that the Bavarian automaker would indeed make such a move. While clearly stating that they cannot confirm such rumors or speculations, BMW has also made sure not to completely deny the possibility of such variants of the BMW X2. It is exactly this fact that reassures most that BMW has indeed planned something in this respect. What is it and how will it look, is something we will have to wait and see.

Without a doubt, the BMW X2 is one of the most interesting models released by BMW. It is an affordable and elegant vehicle, a compromise between BMW’s top models and its more basic vehicle options. The vehicle strikes most as one of the most balanced vehicles in BMW’s history. It offers the best experience to those that seek a vehicle that does not exaggerate with the flashy gadgets we now see on almost all vehicles, regardless of manufacturer.

The BMW X2, as stated by BMW, will remain for the moment just as is. While the possibility of a Coupe or Cabriolet version is not out of the question, at this point it seems it is a distant dream. Regardless of how and when BMW will release such models, if it will at all, the BMW X2 remains one of the most appreciated vehicles the Bavarian automaker has to offer right now.

BMW`s most astonishing model 8-Series, yet to be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next March, has been tipped off for production in 2018, with the model to be built at the company`s facility in Dongolfing, Germany.

According to a recent report issued by Auto News, the new BMW 8-Series will arrive next year with the company`s new design language and brand-new, high-tech interior, also to be implemented on other new models.

We are looking here at the direct competitor of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and Cabrio, an exclusive car with the most advanced technologies and an evolutionary design.

Speaking of new design language, the future 8-Series will come with “a new look”, with new elements borrowed from the 8-Series concept revealed at the Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este some time ago.

According to Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW`s Senior Vice President of Design, these new design elements refer to the concept`s grille and Hofmeister kink, adding as well trapezoidal exhaust tips which will enhance the car`s aggressive look.

The company`s new design philosophy will not be limited to the exterior, van Hooydonk also stating that the interior will come with the latest iDrive infotainment system, improved dashboard and high-end materials on the seats, dash, and other interior surfaces.

Performance wise, the all-new 8-Series Coupe and Cabrio will come with a wide range of engines under the hood, like a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder mill, or a 6.6-liter V12 from BMW`s new M760Li xDrive. Additionally, BMW is also likely to offer M8`s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, with no less than 600 horsepower.

As aforementioned, the all-new BMW 8-Series Coupe will be released on the European and US markets next year, with the Cabriolet variant to arrive in 2019, according to the same report from Auto News. As for both models` success, they will definitely become a benchmark in terms of technology and evolutionary design language.

It’s that time again folks. Time to have a look round at the Nurburgring and see what’s in the pipeline from some of our sporting oriented manufacturers.

There’s a lot of them out there but let’s face it, we’re only interested in what the Bavarians are cooking up. After all, BMW is very closely linked to the coming back of the ‘Ring.

According to the spy photographers, the newest stuff they’ve seen on the fabled circuit is a convertible version of the BMW 3 Series 4 Series.

Since the F30 has been out for a while and the whole 4 Series affair is being pushed around more an more there’s a bit of a worrying moment to consider.

Delaying it pretty much guarantees the same sort of affair the coupe variations of normal sedans have had over at Mercedes and Audi.

It will be marketed differently, aimed at different crowds, come with substantial changes to the drivetrain and, most importantly, cost a whole lot more.

That’s kind of disappointing to hear since BMW already have considerable prices so we might be staring round another 6 Series Gran Coupe situation.

Still, maybe that means that the upcoming 4 Series may be a rather late BMW reply to the competition but it will be the finest of the bunch.

And then there’s the BMW M4 version to consider which had better blow the doors off anything on the market.

I’m still a fan of the brand but I reckon that if they’re going to keep on raising the prices they might as well raise the bar as well.

The BMW 3 Series coupe cabriolet has been spied plenty of times before and yet this time it’s a whole new story we’re looking at.

It’s for the first time that the drop top model has actually been spotted with its top dropped rather than just plonked up underneath some serious camouflage.

We might be familiar with the F30 BMW 3 Series sedan and be in a position where we can guess what the new two door will look like but the Bavarians are still keeping us going.

It’s hard to say a car looks good with the top down when it’s almost completely covered in camouflage, but is that our only problem?

The rumor about the 3 Series two-door soon to be known as the 4 Series seems to keep on coming up in discussion.

Alongside the rumor, the fact that BMW keeps hiding this new model away from us seems to make more and more sense.

Ok, so the look may be completely different and perhaps the interior of the 3 Series 4 Series Coupe Cabriolet will get the same treatment but that’s not for everything.

You can pretty much bet your top dollar that the platform, the underpinnings, the engines and transmission choices are going to be the same as the F30’s.

That means nothing but turbocharged powerplants, with a six cylinder engine being the top of the line model even though it might not be one of those iconic inline arranged ones.

Until actual details come in about the BMW 4 Series or whatever it’s called we’re simply waiting for a nice 3 Series that’s got some new looks.

BMW’s test drivers don’t seem to have too much spare time. They’ve just been spotted testing the future cabriolet version of the 3 Series.

As you can see, it’s more of a coupe cabriolet affair and also, it’s very well covered in camouflage. This creates more of a reason to speculate.

The biggest rumor concerning the BMW 3 Series Coupe Cabriolet is that it might be called a 4 Series with this generation.

It makes sense for a number of reasons. The 6 Series has always been the two door 5er, why wouldn’t the same apply to smaller relatives?

Also, we already know what the F30 BMW 3 Series looks like, why would you need to camouflage it so carefully. Even if some of the lines are going to change (remember E92 vs E90) it won’t be a revolution, will it?

Though there may be some discussion on the chassis name and the badges, the engine lineup won’t come with too much of a surprise.

Most markets will continue getting the 1.6 liter, 2.0 liter four cylinder and 3.0 liter straight six petrol powered engines. All of them are turbocharged for the first time ever.

Europe and a few other markets will also get a 2.0 liter turbodiesel engine which is going to be available in some four tune levels.

Oh, and for a special treat, the BMW 3 Series Cabriolet will continue to exist with two roof choices. You can have the folding metal roof we see here or a more traditional soft cloth variant.

This version of the car will be unveiled later in the year, sometime around autumn. We hope that by then the dilemma around the 3 or 4 Series name.

This is another tuning for BMW and probably the first time when we talk about a convertible BMW tuned. You don’t know what to say if there are many new things at this tuned model or if not but one thing is sure: it makes this BMW 3 Series to look awesome even if it was also looking good also as a stock car.

A very nice and important update is the wheels, I won’t tell you details about them because you can also find them on google. I want to tell you that it has under the hood a stock 3.0 liter twin turbo engine that can develop up to 345 horsepower and 498Nm in power level one.

The power level two’s engine can develop up to 362 horsepower and 536Nm, with 19 horsepower more than the previous version of M3 E46. This is not a various tuning but is simple, nice and professional.
