Now that BMW has already revealed the 8-Series range, comprising both the Coupe and the Convertible, it has also confirmed that the long-rumored M8 would also find its way into the market starting next year.

The future BMW M8 is also set to be the company`s most powerful ‘M’ model ever built, more powerful than the recently unveiled M5 and M5 Competition. According to BMW representatives, it will also be more lightweight than the 8-Series, which already uses such materials like carbon fiber, aluminum or magnesium. This would enable better sprint and thus better performance numbers. On the other hand, the M8 Convertible will also benefit from an optional carbon fiber roof.

In current state, BMW M5 Competition uses a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, with 617 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, enabling an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.3 seconds.

Now, imagine the upcoming BMW M8 with even greater power. Even if BMW has kept the info hidden, recent rumors stated that it would use “a high-revving” V8 TwinPower Turbo with more than the M5`s 617 horsepower. The peak torque would stand somewhere at around 850 Nm of torque. Besides that, it would also use an M xDrive all-wheel drive system, and that`s a confirmation already, and which would guarantee at least 0,2 second faster acceleration in the straight-line.

The new engine and xDrive all-wheel drive system are not the only things that will make it faster than the M5. As aforementioned, the new model will be more lightweight than the newly-unveiled 8-Series range (M850i particularly), using more M Components Parts which have already been proven effective on that matter.

Mechanically, the BMW M8 will also receive some important upgrades which will improve stability, body structure and provide greater stance and grip. Also, the high-performance suspension system will deliver “exceptional directional stability, steering precision and cornering dynamics.”

As for official unveiling, rumors state that we might see the BMW M8 Coupe in its full flash at the 2019 Geneva Motors Show, with deliveries to start towards the third quarter of the year. We have already met BMW`s most prestigious SUV – the brand-new 2017 X7 – in both exterior and interior disguises, revealing as well the car`s technology and the latest gadgetries. Now it is the engine lineup and safety systems that need to be explained.

So let`s start with the safety systems, which on the new X7 a lot come as standard, while others can also be had as optional.

Just like most of the company`s new models, the 2019 BMW X7 as well benefits from the same high-end treatment. It comes accessorized with the Active Protection & Active Driving Assistant system which includes features like Lane Departure Warning, Frontal Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Collision Warning, Pedestrian Warning with City Collision Mitigation, Speed Limit Information and Cross Traffic Alert Rear.

In Europe, BMW is launching the X7 with the standard xDrive40i equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six engine, developing 335 horsepower and 446 Nm of torque. Connected to a high-performance eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system, the xDrive40i is ready to tackle the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a good 5.8 seconds, at a top speed of 245 km/h.

Still in Europe, the new X7 is also offered in two diesel variants, like the xDrive30d equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder, churning out 261 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque. Thanks to that, it ensures an acceleration from standstill in 7.0 seconds, at a topping of 227 km/h.

On the other hand, the top of the line X7 M50d outputs no less than 394 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque, coming with an acceleration of 5.4 seconds and top speed of 250 km/h.

In the United States, the 2019 BMW X7 is offered with the xDrive50i variant, which has received an upgraded 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, developing 456 horsepower and 648 Nm of torque. The same sprint is done in 5.2 seconds, at a topping of 250 km/h.

The all-new 2019 BMW X5 leaked a couple of days ago, has finally reached its destination in a new form. It is bigger, wider and sounds more powerful – at least that`s what the company states about the new model in the official trailer below.

Visually, at the front, the 2019 BMW X5 features a prominent front grille with smaller headlights which resemble those from the new X3, while the horizontal intake between the grille and air dam provides a more aggressive look; the rear end is also fresh, featuring new taillights with a fresh outline. The rear bumper also features trapezoidal tailpipe finishers which replace the round tips.

The overall design language is complemented by the new wheels, with size ranging between 19- to 22-inch V-spoke alloy wheels.

Sitting on the company`s new CLAR platform, the all-new 2019 BMW X5 has bigger dimensions, shedding off as well some significant weight and coming with increased driving dynamics. It thus rides on a 42mm longer wheelbase, while it is 36mm longer and 66mm wider as well.

The interior brings the latest high-tech gizmos, such as BMW`s latest iDrive 7.0 media system, with 12.3-inch digital screen, or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver. There is also the Top View, along with Panorama View or 3D View systems, all part of the Parking Assist Plus. Customers can also opt for two 10.2-inch HD touch-screens with two USB ports, HDMI socket with two headphones jacks or DVD playback.

The company is also offering the latest safety systems, such as Lane Change Warning and Lane Departure Warning, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Side Collision Protection, Evasion Aid, Priority Warning & Wrong-Way Warning and Crossing Traffic Warning.

As for the engines under the hood, the all-new 2019 BMW X5 comes equipped with no less than four powertrains, like the US-spec X5 xDrive50i with 462 horsepower, as well as the X5 xDrive40i with 340 horsepower, and two diesel inline six-cylinder engines, with 400 horsepower (X5 M50d) and 265 horsepower (X5 xDrive30d). All variants come with the standard xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive, along with the optional Off-Raod package with two-axle air suspension.

After the arrival of the bigger and much more stylish X4 M40d sibling, the German based carmaker has also announced the introduction of the same variant from the X3, with sales to commence this July. Prices haven’t been yet released but we expect fresh news in the upcoming period.

Compared to last year`s model, the new 2019 BMW X3 M40d is much bigger, wider and enhanced with even more technological gizmos inside the cabin. However, the big news is that this year`s model is enhanced with more power.

Dealing with the G01 BMW X3 M40d, the gorgeous model comes with a B57 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, developing a good 326 horsepower and impressive 680 Nm of torque, available at as low as 1,750 rpm. On the other hand, its brother in arms the X3 M40i comes with 370 horsepower and only 500 Nm of torque, the latter one being tenth second faster.

This means that the 2019 BMW X3 M40d performs a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically-limited to 250 km/h, just like most of the carmaker`s new model lineup. The power is sent to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission, the same which gears up its M40i sibling, too.

Even if it packs a 3.0-liter displacement with such important performance figures, power and torque, the new X4 M40d seems to be highly-efficient in terms of fuel consumption. It thus manages a combined consumption of just 6.5L/100 km, while the CO2 emissions combined don’t exceed 169 g/km.

As for exterior visuals, the new BMW X4 M40d is easily standing out from the crowd with the M Sport package, which enhances its aggressive looks. The most important highlights are the Cerium Gray exterior accents, as well as the 20-inch alloy wheels now coming with M Sport brakes. The model is standardly equipped as well with M Sport suspension system and variable sports steering system.

Even if the all-new BMW M5 is considered one of the most important models from the carmaker`s entire M range, thanks to exquisite design and most importantly, by raw power and performance under the hood, the high-end model is expected to be equipped with the Competition Package as well, meaning greater juice underneath the skin and new tweaks to the car`s chassis.

First announced last year in September and later on in December 2017, the M5 Competition Package will follow the footstep of the M4 Competition Package, with some important upgrades that won`t resume to just carbon ceramic brakes.

According to some new reports, the all-new BMW M5 Competition Package might be premiered in April. The greatest news is that it will pack a raw 625 horsepower, meaning 25 horsepower more over the stock 2018 BMW M5.

On top of that, the new 2018 BMW M5 Competition Package will also arrive with a number of new tweaks that will differentiate it from the factory model.

If the BMW M4 Competition Package received last year the company`s new Adaptive M Suspension, dampers, anti-roll bars and new springs, the 2018 M5 Competition will add updated shocks and a set of new alloys, along with some subtle changes inside. Of course, the option list is much bigger and the company will come back with more information on that.

Back to the car`s power, the M5 Competition Package will arrive with 625 horsepower as aforementioned, meaning improved performance figures. And even if we don’t have any details on that, we expect an improvement of around 0.2 seconds over the stock`s standstill of 3.2 seconds. So, how does 3.0 seconds sound to you?

As a reminder, BMW M CEO Frank Van Meel, said for Road and Track magazine last year that customers had been asking and waiting for an M5 Competition Package for a long time and it would be just a matter of time until the model arrived on the market ready to tackle the performance of its rival – the Mercedes-Benz E 63 S AMG.

BMW has started campaigning the all-new M5 more than six months ago with BMW purists long-expecting its arrival. Now that the await is over, the all-new 2018 M5 is here for the taking with xDrive configuration and plenty of juice under the hood.

Set to officially arrive in dealerships later on this year, the all-new 2018 BMW M5 has a lot to offer in terms of technology and mechanics.

One of the car`s main highlights refer to the xDrive configuration which uses a “central intelligence unit” that provides “all the agility and precision of standard rear-wheel drive with the supreme poise and traction of the all-wheel-drive system.”

This means that the model also makes use of three different driving modes – 2WD, 4WD and 4WD Sport – which activate whenever it is necessary. For instance, in the 2WD mode, the power is sent to the rear wheels via the new Active M differential, making thus sure that the driving is done in a “very sporty manner.”

Being considered the “most advanced version” so far, the all-new 2018 BMW M5 with xDrive makes use of a 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine, with 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, enabling a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, making it “noticeable quicker than its predecessor.”

Technology wise, the new M5 borrows the same technology lineup also seen on the latest 5-Series or 2016 7-Series. It has been also equipped with updated equipment, like new shifter, M Sport steering wheel with two M Drive buttons, adding as well the state-of-the-art Head-Up Display with satellite navigation and much more.

There are probably few models from BMW that have lately received the best attention and appreciation, and one of them is the G30 5-Series, an exceptional ride in all its forms. However, there is also the M550d xDrive that follows its footsteps with magnificent styling characteristics and impressive power under the hood, which for a diesel, is a real treat.

Both available in the G30 (Sedan) and the G31 (Touring), the 2017 BMW M550d xDrive has now become extremely practical, offering advanced visual characteristics, impressive interior design and worthy performance under the hood.

Speaking of performance, the new M550d is equipped with a tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six, which has received no less than four turbos, making it the most powerful six-cylinder diesel in the world. This means that the model develops 400 horsepower, available at 4,400 rpm, and whopping 760 Nm of torque, available at as low as 2,000 rpm.

All the power is sent to the wheels via an M-Performance eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the Sedan a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, while the Touring runs the same straight line in 4.6 seconds. Both at a top speed which is electronically limited at 250 km/h.

Even with the impressive power and mind-blowing torque, the G30 Sedan and G31 Touring are coming with impressive fuel consumption as well. This means 5.9L/100 km and 6.2L/100 km, respectively, while the CO2 emissions are also standing at 154g/km / 163g/km.

As for the exterior visuals, both variants are looking fresh with the M goodies around the front and rear, side sills, boot spoiler and so on. Other important characteristics also refer to Cerium grey paintjob on the kidney grilles, door mirrors, adding as well 19-inch alloy wheels and optional 20-inch alloys. Inside, the cabin has also received the “M550d” embroidery, leather and Alcantara and aluminum trims. The M signature is also visible on the steering wheel, pedals and so on.

As for the prices, BMW will announce the official details in the incoming weeks. Unfortunately, the 2017 BMW M550d xDrive in both its forms will be only offered in Europe.

BMW is planning to introduce the all-new F90 M5 in a big round of applause, becoming the most powerful and fastest M model ever built, way too faster than the current M5 or what seems to be closed to that (the M550i packs impressive power, but not that impressive as the future F90).

Speaking about the arrival of the new M5, Hildegard Wortmann, Brand Manager at BMW, has talked to Autocar and stated that the F90 M5 in its newest edition will be a real blast and a real event, way too impressive than the 7-Series` launch.

“You will see in this car where we will take the [M] brand from here. I’ve driven it on track and it’s really special. The engineers have done an excellent job. It’s outrageous.”

Speaking of its outrageous features, the new F90 M5 is going to be a real blast on the road, coming with the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, now developing around 600 horsepower, which would get closer to Alpina`s new kid on the block B5 Biturbo with 608 horsepower.

In order to achieve such impressive performance, BMW would have to fit the new F90 BMW M5 with a high-performance eight-speed ZF-sourced automatic transmission, which would replace the DCT, the latter one not being fitted for an all-wheel drive setup. In case you didn`t hear it, BMW is going to equip the new M5 with an all-wheel drive setup and the M Dynamic Mode which means that will send the power to the rear axle. The Netherlands has been the battling ground for silhouette racings for many years, with a lot of carmakers testing out their latest rides.

A recent video released by a YouTube user is also showcasing a couple of BMW M4s in silhouette disguise with modified engines knocking themselves out on the track with extremely powerful and impressive soundtracks.

As we can depict from the video, these M4s come with some hefty modifications at the chassis, and that to fit the massive and high-performance engines, which are usually mid-mounted. This means that all the parts inside – seats, firewall and so forth – have now been modified to accommodate the engine.

At the exterior, the BMW M4 silhouette models come with extremely wide body parts, all of them made from lightweight materials to provide more downforce. Even so, weighing just a tonne, these two hot models will definitely fly on the track, and that because of the power they come with.

The BMW M4 silhouette models don’t use a conventional S54 engine from the E46 M3, both being fitted instead with the one found on the M3 E46 CSL, This translates through more power and the adding of some mechanical upgrades.

The impressive saga with the BMW M2 Coupe is far from being finished as we foresee more and more tuning projects with the gorgeous model.

And if I had a 2016 BMW M2 Coupe, even if it is too expensive for me, I would definitely take it to the Lightweight Performance`s shop for some fine upgrades.

The upgrades consist of a slight make-over at the car`s body styling, with the main ingredient hiding under the hood, the model receiving a significant power increase.

As we can depict from the pictures released by the tuner below , this 2016 BMW M2 Coupe is standing out from the crowd with a new aero kit, consisting of a bespoke front splitter, front bumper with black accents, wider rear wing which adds more stability and down force and high-speeds. The model has also been fitted with much larger brakes.

The entire styling kit is complemented with the 19-inch forged alloy wheels and the one-off white sporty livery with the tuner`s logo, which makes it really exclusive.

The car`s cream of the crop is the new power under the hood. We are looking here at the same 3.0-liter flat-six turbocharged engine, now outputting an impressive 443 horsepower, which is quite significant from the stock 362 horsepower.

The power gain was achieved thanks to some new mechanics, like new air intake with a 300-cell downpipes, titanium muffler or carbon fiber exhaust tips. The performance figure is not given, but we should expect less than the stock 4.3 seconds.
