The BMW German carmaker has recently opened a new car factory in Araquari, Brazil with the company to already build new models, like the F30 BMW 3-Series Sedan and the E84 BMW X1. The X1 sDrive20i is latest model to join the club.

Little it is known about the BMW X1 sDrive20i so far, but what we heard is that the model will come with the same engine under the hood, like the BMW 320i Active Flex, meaning that the model will run on ethanol and gasoline, and will develop around 180 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque.

The BMW`s plans don’t stop here, as the carmaker is due to launch the F20 BMW 1-Series, the F25 BMW X3 or the MINI Countryman, as well, by the end of 2015.

We are talking about a mass production, with more than 30,000 vehicles being built every year, the carmaker also planning to invest over 200 million euros.

Investments will also bring 1,300 new jobs in the area, as the plant is 1.5 million square meters wide, with the 500,000 of them to be used for production alone.

The Dutch BMW fans might get a special treat in soon as the Bavarians are currently negotiating starting production there at an older plant.

The plant in question is the one the Japanese at Mitsubishi are using at Nedcar. Mitsubishi will be stopping production there by the end of the year.

Once that happens, BMW will be taking over the plant, closing it down, retooling for their own production and get will get moving on the actual production bit.

There had been some rumors about the idea of BMW getting in on the Nedcar plant for about a couple of weeks now and weirdly, the German company denied them all.

Perhaps the negotiations would have been influenced by additional investor interest or something like that. It does strike us as a little odd since Mitsubishi are the sole owners of the plant for 11 years now.

We should also point out that while BMW did buy the plant it was actually the BMW Group and not the actual car maker.

Once the production actually restarts, it will most likely be Mini products that are going to be made at that plant as the company keeps on expanding.

The BMW spokesperson isn’t very kind with words and while he’s not yet ready to confirm the way the deal is going, he’s bearing good news.

If everything goes as well as it’s currently apparent, it would mean that the Dutch plant’s employees will be very happy to know they are going to keep their jobs.

See, this is how the good news actually feel. It’s not all about sports cars and engineering success.

Here’s a huge surprise, BMW, a company that’s selling and growing by the day, is rumored to be looking into the building of new production plants.

The rumor may be more than hearsay because apart from the selling and increased targets, BMW is said to be looking in the right places.

Word has it the new plant locations would be either in Mexico or Eastern Europe. On top of that the Brazilian BMW plant is up for increased capacity.

All of these locations would produce more cars for BMW to sell in markets which are growing (Asia, South America) and those which are making a comeback (USA, Russia).

The latest version of the rumor was triggered by an article by German business daily Handelsblatt. It seemed thoroughly researched and cited several sources to back it up.

Automotive News got in touch with BMW to ask about the situation and the company’s spokesperson did very little to clear the air.

The reply however did include the fact that the Bavarians have no intention to build any new plant in the Eastern side of Europe.

The Brazil expansion was confirmed to be under negotiation but any other location was not commented upon so there’s still an open discussion around that.

As for the Brazil discussion, this is mostly happening because the government there made a few changes in taxation systems.

Even so, BMW may be interested but they’ll still need to make a few specific discussions and work out the chances at making a profit the new investment would have.

It seems like BMW have adopted an admirable attitude about the future of the new 2012 3 Series. They’ve talked about it long enough, they might as well get down to making it.

With that in mind, note that the Bavarian company’s Munich plant flipped the ON switch the production line that will roll out brand new F30 3 Series.

The plant received a considerable investment in order to be ready to push out the F30 BMW 3 Series the company hopes to, and probably will, sell in enormous numbers.

Some serious cash flow went into the Munich plant and when the books were done, a total of more than 700 million dollars had been credited to this upgrade.

This expansion pushes the plant up to around 700.000 square feet of “live” floor space as it spreads over five floors of height.

The end result is around 9000 new jobs and the ability to make around 680 units of the F30 BMW 3 Series each day at the moment, eventually going up to as much as 900 units.

Those figures are most likely to be justified as the Munich plant will be the main facility the Bavarians will use to manufacture the 2012 BMW 3 Series.

A highlight of this plant will be a new enormous press that can 600 tons of steel per day, enough to cover for all the F30 BMW 3 Series units and a wide range of engines that’ll be made there, including the stuff the M Division uses and the Rolls Royce powerplants.

BMW’s SUV has just passed an important marker in the life of any car, the “first million” to be produced since the debut the X5 had back in 1999.

The “round figure” BMW X5 sold was an anniversary edition xDrive35i, featuring a sapphire black metallic finish with cinnamon brown Nevada leather trim for the interior.

The fabled vehicle, which is headed for a customer in China, rolled of the production line at BMW’s Spartanburg plant, which has been around for 15 years now and has played a huge role in the success story of the X5.

The X5, which is now being built in Spartanburg, U.S.A. and Kaliningrad, Russia, is now exported to more than 120 countries. A nice series of achievements but the one in the title is worthy so: Congratulations BMW X5!

As far as the Spartanburg plant is concerned, it’s business as usual, the X6 SAV also took birth there, the next generation of X3 will see birth there and there’s no telling what the future holds.

Throughout its life so far the BMW X5 has earned the following distinctions: “autonis” prize awarded by the trade journal “Auto Motor und Sport” for the most attractive design, Gold Award in the J.D. Power Study on customer satisfaction in North America and “Top Safety Pick” for outstanding crash test behaviour both in 2007 and 2008 from the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

BMW have officially launched the “The BMW Experience”, a special institution that will remind people why they are the best selling luxury company.

Access to such a treat as BMW offer in Munich is hard to find but you can get a totally different experience if you live in America that’s not in any way less interesting.

BMW are showing off their cars, their factory and pretty much every asset they have in Spartanburg County through special tours that can be taken individually or as a group where you get to experience “The Ultimate Driving Machine” in all of its aspects.

BMW reported that will add 700 workers to the South Carolina BMW Plant to create 2 more shifts. This plant is located in Greer, South Carolina, near Spartanburg and Greenville. This South Carolina BMW Plant is building Z3 and Z4 roadsters but also BMW’s SUV.

This is a big oportunity for the people that live near to this plant, but also to the current workers because they will have to work less than before after those 2 new shifts will be added. Unfortunately, BMW can’t add permanent positions. The new workers will be hired through BMW’s contract agencies, MAU Inc. and Tier One Solutions.

According to Bobby Hitt, the new shifts and 700 workers were added to South Carolina BMW Plant as a direct result to the year end market. In September, the BMW sales increased with 3.6 percent so this is probably the main fact that influenced this upgrade. BMW will do a great thing and will invest 2.2 bl. $ in the South Africa’s Rosslyn Plant. Once they have increased production, they will build faster the cars and secondly, they can now offer more jobs for poor people in South Africa while expanding the plant. In the South Africa’s Rosslyn Plant is building 3 Series for the people around Rosslyn Plant and they also export 3 Series cars to U.S.A., Canada and other markets.

Once with investment, they have also a bigger term: from 60,000 units per year to 87,000 units per year. Overall, they increased the production with 45%. The sales are growing each year around 19.5 percent so the investment was more than necessary otherwise they wouldn’t made at time each command.

Anyway, this is the website of South Africa’s Rosslyn Plant. Probably the citizens from South Africa doesn’t have so much money so they export 75 percent from the BMW 3 Series production at Rosslyn Plant.

After the expansion of the Spartanburg BMW plant, a new one will be created from scratch in China.

The city of Shenyang will be home to the second BMW plant from that area, as declared by BMW Brilliance Automotive Ltd. Everything should be finished a few months before 2010 and the results will be impressive. The production should double and reach 80,000 units instead of the 40,000 each year which are currently being produced. Unlike North America and Europe, the China automarket can still handle new plants and they can deal with the economical crisis, at least for the moment.

The new BMW China plant is perfect for increasing profits and creating more BMWs, all over the world.
