To get Apple CarPlay on a BMW, you will need to make sure your vehicle is compatible with the feature and then have it installed by a BMW dealer. Here’s a general overview of the process:

Check if your BMW is compatible with Apple CarPlay: Not all BMW models are compatible with Apple CarPlay. You can check if your vehicle is compatible by going to the BMW website and looking up the specs for your specific model.

Make sure your BMW has the latest version of the BMW Operating System: In order to use Apple CarPlay, your BMW must have the latest version of the BMW Operating System installed. You can check which version you have by going to the “Settings” menu in your vehicle’s iDrive system and selecting “Software Update.” If an update is available, you’ll be able to download and install it through the iDrive system.

Have Apple CarPlay installed by a BMW dealer: Once you’ve verified that your BMW is compatible with Apple CarPlay and has the latest version of the BMW Operating System, you can have the feature installed by a BMW dealer. The dealer will be able to install the necessary hardware and software to enable Apple CarPlay on your vehicle. The cost of installation will vary depending on your specific vehicle and location.

With CarPlay, you can make phone calls, send and receive text messages, listen to music, and use other features of your iPhone without having to pick up your phone or take your eyes off the road. To use CarPlay, you will need a car that is equipped with the feature and a compatible iPhone.

Connect your iPhone to your car using a Lightning-to-USB cable.
If your car supports wireless CarPlay, press and hold the Voice Control button on your steering wheel to set up CarPlay. If your car doesn’t support wireless CarPlay, you’ll need to connect your iPhone to your car with a cable.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay.
Select your car from the list, then follow the onscreen instructions.
If your car doesn’t support CarPlay, you can use an aftermarket system that is compatible with CarPlay. These systems typically consist of a display unit that is installed in your car and a controller that you can use to interact with the system.

Following a great deal of believed for somewhat of although, I’ve finally thought I should Sell My BMW. As anyone who offers owned a BMW may give you advice, these are genuinely beautiful to see also in order to drive. I’m able to be able to say with all truthfulness that my BMW will be my pride and pleasure, but I use recently received work offer from Quotes that is too great to ignore.

Almost all really feel that the simplest method to sell BMW will be to try to spot an advertisement in typically the local newspaper, it’s speedy and simple, right? Completely wrong, selling your BMW inside this manner could establish you back more inside money plus time, Learn More to know exactly why.

Traditional Way to Sell Your BMW

Firstly you will need to sit back and create your advert, that may take you anywhere from 35 minutes to an hour as you’ll likely do some digging to be able to get each of the particular pertinent information, mileage, prior owners, mot, tax in addition to the like. You then should either use the internet typically or call the particular appropriate newspaper or syndication, read your ad to them as they type this within their computer thereafter pay out them the suitable fee, probably another 30 minutes of the time is going to be set in completing the contact.
Okay, it has obtained around 60 to 120 minutes positioning your current BMW available for sale advert, now determined by what day the newspaper or publication is published, probably it’s another one week to be able to a couple of days just before your ad is seen.

Your next job will be to clean your vehicle to ensure it’s presentable. Based on the condition of the BMW, this will most likely take a handful of several hours or a day. To provide an idea, you may have to clean the dash typically, vacuum the carpets, you can even really need to get a couple of brand new mats, buff out any kind of scratches, and repair virtually any damaged alloys.

Online World

There’s another, much better, and faster strategy in order to sell your BMW, an individual could potentially talk to a prestige and consultant car site. They usually are going to use their own industry experience and contacts within many of typically the leading prestige dealerships and acquire you the finest possible price on your current BMW from serious, funds BMW buyers
Only one phone or email, and within hours, you will have got a serious cash offer to spend for BMW. Simply phone or complete an online inquiry form on your chosen consultant car buyer site, including make and model, age, mileage, condition, plus also the service history of your respective BMW. They’ll then contact an individual during the first minutes to move over your target price and finer details, just like the log book. Inside of an hour, you will certainly get good cash to provide to sell your BMW HYBRID.

While leasing a car can be a great way to ensure you’re always driving newer models, the leasing process can be something of a mystery. There are all sorts of unusual terms you need to understand, the payment isn’t based on the entire value of the car and you’ll still need to negotiate the selling price upon which your lease is based.

With these concerns in mind, here’s how to lease a car the right way.

Review Your Credit Report First

One of the factors determining your monthly lease payment (as well as whether you’ll qualify for a lease in the first place) is your credit history and the resulting score it dictates. So, visit AnnualCreditReport.com to get a free copy of each of your three credit reports from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion before you set out to lease a car.

Look them over for inaccuracies and get any discrepancies you find corrected before you go any farther. The higher your credit score, the lower the interest rate you’ll be expected to pay and the better the lease deal you’ll get as a result. Knowing your credit score and what it qualifies you for is a useful negotiating tool.

Pay Attention to Residual Values

Before you settle on a particular model, look at all of the cars in the category best suited to your needs to determine which ones have the highest residual values. Low residuals result in higher monthly payments; higher residuals bring lower payments.

A good place to start is with the winners of the annual Automotive Lease Guide Residual Value Awards. Each year, this publication recognizes vehicles in 27 segments that are forecast to retain the highest percentage of their Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price after a three-year period. If you’re looking for a car likely to best hold it’s value, this is where you’ll find one.

Toward the end of a model year (and at various other times of the year) car builders offer special lease deals to help their dealers clear showrooms. These can be especially attractive deals. Manufacturers sometimes subsidize them, or offer exceptionally low interest rates to help make the monthly payments more affordable.

You do have to read the fine print carefully though. Be certain you’re not agreeing to some insanely low annual mileage figure or some outrageously high down payment. In other words, make sure everything else about the offer is favorable before you’re irretrievably bound to a low monthly payment.

Determine the Car’s Market Value

Just as with a purchase, you have to perform your due diligence to make sure you’re getting the best possible purchase price for the car. Most of the moving parts of the deal are based upon the selling price you negotiate.

To be an effective advocate for yourself, you have to know what other people in your area are paying for a similar car. Consulting resources like the National Automobile Dealers Association guide, Edmunds.com and Kelley Blue Book can help you discern those figures.

Shop Around

Rather than agreeing to a purchase from the first dealer with whom you speak, shop the numbers you get around to see if anyone is willing to offer you a better deal. Here though, it’s important to price the car as if you’re buying rather than leasing.

In fact, don’t even mention a lease until you negotiate the best price you can get. It’s easy for salespeople to divert you into discussions of monthly payments on a lease—while charging you a higher price for the car. Meanwhile, the lower the selling price you negotiate, the lower your monthly payment will be anyway.

Lock It In

Once you’ve found the car you want — at the best possible price — tell the salesperson you’d like to lease the car. Be very specific about what you want in terms of annual mileage, the length of the lease and the down payment you want to make.

Ask about the interest rate, which you’ll probably be told is a “money factor” of some seemingly indecipherable figure. Whatever they quote, multiply that number by 2400 to determine the effective interest rate. You’ll be able to tell whether or not you’re getting a good quote If you did your research to see what interest rate your credit score earns.

One more thing: Always make sure the lease contract includes gap insurance in case the car suffers a catastrophic event and is declared a total loss. This will save you from having to pay off any remaining balance out of your pocket after the insurance company settles.

As complicated as it seems, the process is really quite simple once you sink your teeth into it. What’s more, knowing how to lease a car the right way helps you get the car you want at a price you can afford.

Cleaning the car’s engine bay can be a confusing and unnerving experience for many. Different components like air intakes, computers, electrical connections, etc. can make it confusing like trying your luck in US online casinos but you never know if you are going to win or not. However, if you own a BMW car, then you won’t face much difficulties in cleaning its engine bay. This is due to the fact that BMW cars have evolved considerably over time especially in the areas of electronics and fuel injection. The current article provides insights on how to clean/detail your BMW engine bay to get the best performance from your car.

Start with Hosing

A good starting point for cleaning your BWM’s engine bay is to start with hosing it. This pre-rinsing helps to loosen any dirt or contaminants which would have developed on the engine bay. Once the dirt is cleaned, it makes it easier for the engine greaser to get spread easily. Hosing the engine bay before cleaning it also ensures that soap marks dry out faster. An important consideration before hosing your car’s engine bay is to ensure that you do it when the engine has cooled down as hosing water on heated car parts is not a good idea. You should pop the car’s hood and let the engine cool for nearly one hour before doing the pre-rinse.

Protect the Car’s Battery

Before you start with cleaning your BMW engine bay, you should take precautions to protect the battery. Disconnecting the negative battery terminal or covering the battery securely is a good idea. Water is a good conductor of electricity which can create problems for you if you don’t disconnect the battery terminal by creating temporary circuits. If you are using a power washer, then you should use it at low pressure as it will help to clean the dirt better. Cleaning on high pressure can cause water to enter into components which can cause them to malfunction.

Apply Engine Degreaser

You should always use a good quality engine degreaser to clean your BMW’s engine bay instead of regular soap or detergents. These degreasers are specially formulated to clean the oil and grime in the engine bay which a regular soap or detergent can’t do. Apply the degreaser generously especially on parts which are more stained in oil and grime. You can allow the degreaser to sit for few minutes to get the best cleaning results. Once this is done, you should start rinsing the engine bay with low pressure to see if you get the desired cleaning results. If the engine bay it too dirty or has not been cleaned for more than 300,000 miles, then you may need to apply another coating of degreaser.

A car is an essential part of an average American’s life, who drives nearly 101 minutes daily. It is used for getting things done like running errands, commuting to work, searching for list of New Jersey casinos, etc. A BMW is a luxury car which if maintained properly can keep running like new. You can consider the following tips to keep your BMW running like new:

Wash and Wax Regularly

A good starting point for taking care of your BMW is to wash and wax it regularly. Over time, dirt and debris accumulate on the body of your car which can damage it and cause it to corrode. Washing your car regularly, clears the debris and keeps your car looking clean and new. You can wash your car once per week and wax it once every three months.

Get the Engine Checked

Your BMW’s engine is like its heart, its most important part of it which keeps it going. You should get your BMW’s engine inspected regularly by experts to ensure it is in prime working condition. Even minor engine issues can snowball into bigger problems if left unattended. In addition to the engine, you should also get the transmission checked for getting the optimal performance from your BMW and keep it running like new.

Change Oil

Changing the oil of your BMW keeps it in good condition. You can change the oil every 5,000 miles, especially if you live in a city with harsh and hot climate. Doing so can help you save on costly repairs and maintenance which could result otherwise.

Inspect the Brakes

Frequently getting the brakes of your BMW checked, should be an essential part of your regular maintenance regime. It is important to get the brake pads checked as they can wear out with time. It is also important to ensure safety while driving. Experts also suggest to flush the brake system every two years to keep your BMW looking new.

Maintain the Tires

Tires play an important role in giving you the best driving experience from your BMW. Well-maintained tires provide you better ride quality and also improve the fuel efficiency of your car. You should ensure that the tires on your BMW are correctly inflated. The tires should also be rotated after every 3,000-6,000 miles.

Check Cooling System

The cooling system in your BMW plays an important role. It cools down the engine and provides an ideal temperature for the engines to operate in. The engine coolant contains lubricating properties which regulates the temperature and protects your car’s engine from seizing. In order to get the best performance and keep your BMW like new, you should flush the cooling system every two-three years.

Drive Responsibly

While taking your BWM out for a spin can be exciting, you should avoid indulging in reckless and irresponsible driving. Reckless driving can take a toll on your BWM and hamper its performance. You should try to drive in a smooth manner avoiding sudden acceleration, hard braking, jerky driving, making sudden turns, etc. as these can make your car’s parts to wear and tear quickly. Safe and responsible driving allows you to enjoy your BMW optimally and keep it running like new.

Are you a proud BMW owner? If yes, then you might be knowing that it’s easier to buy and ride that car, but maintaining it to stay like a new one is a quite difficult task. If you also think like that and are facing some problems in maintaining your BMW in good condition then with the help of this article, I am going to share some tips to keep your BMW stay new forever.

But before heading towards the main topic, as you all know that maintenance of your BMW is quite expensive and not everyone can afford it so those who can’t afford it or manage money for maintaining their BMW car properly, I have a few suggestions. You could generate extra money if you learn how to change car parts, filters, engine oil and more things like these. You could do these jobs for much less money comparing with the car services that require much more money to repair or maintain the car. Another suggestion that do not require to work hard is to visit casino-bonuscode.us, a website that gives you the possibility to earn a side income by playing their casino games and if you are lucky you would be able to generate extra money.

How to maintain your BMW car in good condition

Here is the list of tips for maintaining your BMW car in good condition

• Reading Manuals – I know it sounds old school, but the manual is not just a piece of paper, when you try to read things out of it you can know about various matters related to your BMW car.

You should give a thorough read to your BMW car manual, as it will help you to know about various things such as how to use different functions and features of the car and it will also help you in letting you know that how to maintain multiple parts of your BMW car.

• Be Attentive – By being attentive, I don’t mean to stay attentive forever, I just wanted to tell you that while you are driving your BMW car. This will help you in paying attention to various type of noises your car makes and many such things.

By being attentive while driving you would be able to know the condition of every single part of your car. Moreover, you might be knowing about the various gadgets that are installed in your BMW, and if they are making any problem then also you would be able to know about such issues.

• Tires Health – Tires of a car are one of the most important parts because all the working of that car takes place with the help of tires also. You can move your car from one point to another with the help of tires only.

You should take care of your BMW car tires, as if they have any problem, then you will notice a lack in the overall car performance, which will severely affect the internal car engine.

• Taking Care of Fluids

Do you want to give your existing BMW car a completely new look? If so, the easiest yet the most effective way will be to paint the rims. The best part is, you can manage this task yourself, putting a fair extent of time and effort. The money you save with DYI rim painting, probably will allow the chance to speculate at the top online casinos, wherein you can earn a handful of money, in the course of relishing the optimum excitement and enjoyment.

Collect the necessary materials

You will need materials like Wheel cleaner, rags, wire brush, a few pieces of sandpapers, in addition to Rubbing alcohol and steel wool. In addition, keep ready items like painters tape, covering plastics, spray paint, clear coat, and self-enticing premier.

Identify the spot on the rim to paint

Once you are ready with the necessary materials, you need to decide the right spot for painting the rim. You should opt for a place that feature good ventilation and is spared from running breeze.

Take the rim out of the car and clean the wheels

Painting the rim while it is still mounted on the car is not the right approach. It is for the reason that the spray will get stuck all across the body of the car. In addition, there are chances of getting drips, if you are not eliminating the rim out of the car, before you paint it. Likewise, you need to wash the wheels, before you start to paint. This will ensure that the paint spray evenly and never retains the dust and debris under the coating. You can simply use soap and water for cleaning the wheels. This will not take excess of time and effort to complete this step.

You need to eliminate the rust and paint chips

All rusts and paint chips on the rim should be eliminated, before you paint it. You can accomplish this task, using the rubbing alcohol. You need to use the sandpaper to clear the rusts from the rim. Once done, you should clean the rim with clear water and let it dry completely before the paint is applied. Remember, this step will demand that you pay the necessary attention to the detail.

Apply the coating with primer

Once, the steps discussed above have been rightly completed, comes the tile to apply the initial layer of primer. This will get the surface ready for the best adhesion of the paint. The use of self-etching primer is solicited as it offers the smoothest finish.

Start to paint the rim

Now, it is the time for the actual painting, and this should be done in a back and forth style applying the paint in an even manner. You should always maintain a safe distance between the eyes and painting surface, and escape the chances of over spray at all instances. Remember, you need to allow ample of time for each coat of the paint to dry up, before you apply the next layer on it.

The ownership of a BMW car definitely speaks about your affluence and your fine taste and choices. However, as a passionate owner of a BMW car, you have responsibilities to take care of your vehicle. When it comes to the aspect of taking care of the car, one of the major areas involved is that of the paint. You need to take adequate measures to ensure that the paint on the BMW car is in the right form. So, how to accomplish that objective? Here come some simple yet effective tips in that context.

Refrain from the mistake of neglecting about the paint of the vehicle

The biggest blunder that you can ever make with the appearance of your BMW car is neglecting about the paint. Understand, the car will catch scratches and strains from time to time. So, applying a new coat of paint on the car is not a matter of choice, but should be a regular and periodic process. Ideally, you should take your vehicle for paint in intervals of a year or two. This will retain the car paint in the perfect state.

Ensure that your car stays safe from plant droppings and animal excretions

Though apparently seems to be innocent, animal excretion is one of the major challenges to retain the texture of the paint. It contains certain chemicals that comes extremely corrosive and causes irreversible damages to the paint. Likewise, especially the dropping from the like trees during the spring is another stringent challenge to the paint. It deposits as a thick film that can burn, when exposed to sunlight.

You should prefer the use of soft cloths over using sandpapers for polishing the car

Who does not want that his/her car produce a wonderful shine? There is nothing bad in this thought. However, you would make a blunder, if you use sandpaper to polish the car. It is because it will cause severe damage to the paint on the car. Rather, in the opinion of the experts, you should always use smooth and plain cloth to polish the car. This might require you putting more energy to complete the process, but will produce impressive shine, without damaging the paint.

You may consider waxing the car body

Another gallant trick to protect the paint of the BMW car is to apply a layer of wax on the car body. Especially if you find that the raindrops are not dripping off the surface normally, you should opt for waxing on an immediate basis. This will help you to protect the paint from the adverse effects of water.

Most importantly, try your best to protect the car from exposure to sunlight for long hours. Likewise, you should ensure that your car is protected from direct exposure to rain. You should also ensure that you take the car to authorized service centers for repairs and for applying a new layer of paint on the car body.

Adopt safe and conservative driving practices and try to avoid scratches and straining on the car to the extent possible.

Step-by-step guide in changing the EGR thermostat on E46 BMW 3 series

EGR is specifically designed in order to recirculate the exhaust gas into the fuel/air mixture, thereby diluting the fuel/air mixture enough to keep NOx compounds within the breathable limits. This is done by letting a specific amount of the inert gas to pass from exhaust manifold into intake manifold through EGR valve. The EGR thermostat, on the other hand, is used in order to cool down the exhaust has before entering the intake manifold because of the fact that it’s made of plastic and would melt if exposed to the 600⁰C exhaust gas. The amount of needed cooling varies with the EGR usage, so the thermostat prevents the overcooling in certain conditions. With EGR bypassed, the thermostat is still needed to keep the cooling system intact. In this connection, with your EGR Thermostat damaged, how can you possible change it by yourself? Here’s a step-by-step guide in changing the EGR thermostat on E46 BMW 3 series.

We have made this tutorial on a 2004 320D E46 BMW 3 Series facelift (150hp).
This process would only take you about 5 minutes or more depending on how your move. Also, before starting you need to prepare the entire necessary tools for the job.

Tools needed: 10 size spanner, two screwdrivers or a diagonal cutter (we used the screwdrivers), 5 size hex key and a T15 torx driver.

Follow these steps in order to make the necessary changes in your car:

Step 1:
First off, you need to remove the plastic engine covers shown in the first picture below. In some cases, you might experience some differences in your car parts, but you can still use this DIY process to change your EGR thermostat – for example, the screw holding your car’s vacuum pipe might have a torx head, the hose on EGR thermostat’s right hand side might be held by a fancy clip, and not the jubilee-type one, there might be an engine lifting bracker behind your EGR thermostat, the hose that is connected to the vacuum pipe leads into the solid pipe, which could not be lift out the way it is used to be.

Step 2:
Remove all bolts shown in the picture below in order to release/remove the thermostat. When removing the bolts, use a T15 torx driver, 10 size spanner and one screwdriver. Firstly, you need to remove the bolt with the T15 torx driver, then lift up the vacuum pipe to get into a good position so you can remove the two bolts with the 10 size spanner. Finally,
untighten the bolt with one screwdriver so you can remove the hose from the EGR thermostat.

Step 6:
Place a rag next to the bleed screw hole below the EGR to prevent the antifreeze from getting on the new water pump belt. Ensure to replace the entire drain plugs. Start filling by pouring into the expansion tank at a constant rate. Keep on filling until a steady steam comes out of bleed screw which is below the EGR. Immediately stop and replace both the bleed screws.
