BMW released the facelift versions of the 2016 BMW 3-Series Sedan and Touring a couple of months ago and now we have the real proof that the Grand Turismo facelift is also getting ready for a final release.

Carscoops auto magazine has provided us with some spy shots of what we believe to be the 2017 BMW 3-Series Grand Turismo, the facelift model completing the entire 3-Series lineup for the moment.

As we can depict from the spy shots, we are dealing with the new 340i GT wearing camouflage at the front and rear end and wearing the M Sport package.

The model is in its final stage, so we expect to see some slight mods at the body, just like the ones seen here. The 340i GT will pack a much lower double kidney grille, slightly revised bumpers, new tubular LEDs at the rear or fresh headlamp internals.

Inside, the noticeable changes would concern the updated ConnectedDrive infotainment system, along with some other high-tech gizmos and high-end materials, which would make the handling and the ride more comfortable.

Under the hood, the 2017 BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo will carry over the same engine lineup seen on its siblings, like the 3.0-liter straight-six turbo in the 340i, with 320 horsepower, or the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine in the European 330i`s version, developing 249 horsepower. The North American 328i xDrive version will pack the same 2.0-liter turbo with 240 horsepower.

There are some reports leaked these days stating that the next-gen BMW 5-Series might be coming with a high-performance quad-turbocharged unit.

The reports were launched by the German magazine Autobild, saying that the present N57S unit fitted on the M550d version might have great chances of being replaced with a quad-turbocharged unit.

If that happens, we might be looking here at 408 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, for the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine to receive this benevolent upgrade.

More than that, there are also rumors stating that the upcoming G30 BMW 5-Series model will be hitting the market in 2016, with the second-generation of the Gran Turismo to also debut in spring, the same year, while the Touring will reach dealerships in the autumn.

All three models will be standing on the same 35up high-tech platform, but each of them will be run through a rigorous weight lost program, in order to raise their power.

Along with the high-performance, we should also expect a lot of technology goodies for the G30 BMW 5-Series, like automated lane changing with overtaking or self-lateral parking.

The Germans from BMW are keen to reveal the new 3-Series Gran Turismo as the fresh sub-segment car to get the practicality package of the 3-Series Tourer, all coupled in a sedan.

The 3-Series Gran Turismo receives some important updates for the body. We are talking about some fresh new kidney grilles and fascia, along with larger headlights.

The new BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo is coming with aero elements that are meant to reduce drag by channeling air found around the front wheels.

At the rear, the car has an active spoiler, with a wing expected to reduce rear lift of the Gran Turismo`s aerodynamics, making it closer to the Sedan.

The taillights are also one of a kind. The Sedan`s 3 Series rear lights have been transformed into a hockey stick-shaped unit, elongated wheelbase for a more stable 17-inch wheels and weight distribution at the same 50:50.

The new BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo, has updated suspension, with tweaks for electromechanical steering.

We can say with a certain degree of certainty that the Gran Turismo video game is the best simulation game out there. Not just because of the vast content but also for the quality of the simulation itself.

A BMW fan decided to show us just how good the simulation is, spending a lot of time on both real life Laguna Seca race track and the Gran Turismo version.

Using a BMW M3 for both variants, he made a very interesting video outlining the similarities and differences between them. While the real life lap time was 1:40.9, ingame he managed 1:37.9, the difference being blamed on the real life fear.

I have to be honest here, at first glance, I couldn’t tell which side of the screen was the real footage and which was the video game, but luckily I figured it out fast. And that is one more point for the Gran Turismo. It’s videos like this that make you appreciate both human dedication and the level a good game can reach.

BMW has officially launched the BMW 3 Series GT (Gran Turismo), a larger model to the BMW 3 Series Sedan (F30). BMW 3 Series GT offers impressive dynamics due to the drawn design lines by the BMW design masters.

When the Germans at BMW launched the BMW 5 Series GT, almost everyone has criticized this move of BMW. Most people have criticized the design of the BMW 5 Series GT, higher rear and its design not pretty nice. But, the sports allure, luxury and elegance are present when it comes to BMW.

The new BMW 3 Series GT offers a sporty, luxurious design, very well done which looks sexy, these things all made by the specialists from BMW.

BMW 3 Series GT offers more space inside and is slightly longer than the BMW 3 Series Sedan. However I do not see the point of this GT, because right now BMW has in showroom the BMW 3 Series Touring, which is in my opinion, more useful and familiar than the BMW 3 Series GT.

It will be available for the BMW 328i and 335i.

You can configure your BMW 3 Series GT in one of the three design lines: Sport Line, Modern Line and Luxury Line. These packages are available for sedan, coupe and touring.

Among the most popular options, there is the M Sport Package (Interior and Exterior M elements) and its interior package includes: an M steering wheel, M shifter, M footrest and at the exterior: M front bumper, M rear bumper, M side skirts. Also, the M Sport Package offers an electronically adjustable sports suspension and hot rims with the sizes of 18″ and 19″.

I am very confused when it comes to a GT variant… because BMW has currently a BMW 3 Series Sedan and also a large model, more familiar, namely the BMW 3 Series Touring. However, BMW 3 Series GT is a very sporty model, an unique car with luxurious interior and exterior.

It would not have been fair to see the F10 BMW 5 Series facelift running around getting ready for a stage debut, without the unpleasant side of the story turning up.

The… aesthetically challenged F07 BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo is going to get itself a new look as well. More practicality can look good.

This is something that can genuinely happen but it probably won’t in the case of the 5 Series GT. That’s a hopeless idea and a few minor changes will not help.

Seriously, is this thing that good a seller that the Bavarians really don’t feel like dropping it altogether? Last we heard, they were selling a few thousand units per year.

More importantly, there’s a lot of talk about the way the 5 Series GT is drawing some customers away from the 7 Series, which can’t exactly be good for business.

There’s a good chance that BMW actually build this car for them in particular, for those sort of folks who would’ve bought a 7 Series and want the space and practicality without the vast amount of toys and cost.

In the back of my head there’s only one option. Somebody within really loves the 5 Series GT and he’s so far up the hierarchy they’d rather keep the car alive instead of annoy him.

Before people start loving me too much, please accept this as a joke and understand that while I am aware of the plus points of the GT model, i prefer to goof about against it.

The major downside it comes with, that of driving an ugly BMW which you might be ashamed of, is simply too much to take.

After an interview with BMW taken by Inside Line, we found out that the sales of 5 Series 540i Wagon dicreased. When it will be available for sale, in 2010, Gran Turismo Crossover will probably replace in the U.S. market, the 5 Series 540i Wagon. The decision is not official but all over the internet walks the noise that this is what is going to happen.

The new 5 Series GT Crossover had been unveiled at the 2009 Geneva auto show. BMW thinks can sell 4.000 – 8.000 units of GT Crossover from 5-Series, comparing with 540i Wagon who sold just 400 units in U.S. this year. The 5 Series 540i Wagon started badly with sales since the launch selling just 2351 units. Anyway, if you’re in the U.S. and want to buy a 5 Series Wagon, must know that Europe will still sell.

My opinion is that a GT Crossover is a better choice representing the new generation of cars and a very nice design comparing with 540i Wagon but this is because I don’t like any kind of wagon car.

The BMW Concept 5 Series GT (PAS) was unveiled in Munich a few days ago. You have seen a lot of pictures with BMW 5 Series GT from there and we want to share with you some new information about this beautiful concept. First of all, I will let you see some new pictures with BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo:

Now, it’s the time for some interesting details about this BMW. BMW 5 Series GT will have a less price than the 2009 BMW 7 Series, it will have a base price around 35-40,000 Euro and will go as high as 70,000 Euro. The design has similar design features from the 2009 BMW 7 Series, the large grille and L-Saped taillights. Also, the rumours say that this concept will be launched at the end of this year, which is a nice info for us.

The exterior’s new inovation is the hatch-back in the back that opens in two different modes. One of these modes is that the owner can open a small rectangular hatch that offers a small opening for small objects. Another mode is when the owner open the tailgate that offers a large opening for large objects.

BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo has a trunk volume of 1650 liters. The lenght and the height of this concept are 4998mm and 1555mm. We can tell you that this PAS will have eight-speed automatic gearbox which is a great thing.

This concept by BMW was shown at Geneva Auto Show. Some pictures with BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo (PAS or Progressive Activity Sedan) were taken at Geneva Auto Show. The car looks great from all points of view. It has the new BMW 7 Series’ grill, rump from the X6, headlamps from the BMW CS Concept, etc.

BMW 5 Series GT’s interior is beautiful, it has great materials of high quality, the interior looks elegant and sportiness. Also, I like very much the door’s faces. Per overall, the design of this BMW Concept is great. I’m sure all, or almost the fans of BMW like this car. We do not have more details right now, but when we will have more details we will post them on the blog, so stay tuned.

My opinion is that BMW is on the good way. I think it’s the time to see some beautiful pictures (thanks to 5Post for photos):
