BMW Group has officialy unveiled the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Thanks to the BMW Design Team that drawn this iconic car reminding us of the 1970s.

The Senior Vice President of BMW Group, Adrian van Hooydonk, has told to the press that the past is very important for the future of the BMWs’ design.

The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is without any doubt a racing car with elegance interior, lightweight body, and the muscular and nervous front end. Carbon fibre is the main element for a lighter body and it is now used for many supercars to gain better performances because of the optimum weight-to-strength ratio.

At the interior the car features a futuristic steering wheel, two sport seats, fire extinguisher, an improved belt with better safety features, two helmets and more.

Also, the exterior is very sophisticated with innovative front and rear lights based on LED technology, 21 inch alloy wheels with installed air blades, a big grille at the front, two elerons at the back: one above the trunk and another at the top end of the car, carbon fibre diffusor, four BMW logos instead of two (one at the back, one at the front, two on the both sides), and more. All of these make the car very dynamic and unique.

Closely looking at the car, it gives me the sensation that it is made of plastic. Doesn’t it? Hmmmm…

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event is just a few days away and as expected, BMW has prepared some important surprises for the event, the German based carmaker being ready to unveil the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept car.

Unfortunately for the moment, BMW has only revealed a teaser image with the 2.0 CSL Hommage car, the concept being a celebration of the original CS Coupe racer built for Karmann, first launched in 1972 and which has taken part in a lot of touring car races.

The teaser image is just showing the left rear end of the car, giving us a glimpse on who the concept would look like. And judging by its shape, the body style will keep the traditional lines but will come with state of the art technology and the latest lightweight materials, such as carbon fiber or aluminum.

Reports also confirm the usage of the carbon fiber at the lower section of the model which will provide better performance, while the adding of a distinctive roof spoiler, more powerful wheel arches or outstanding air deflectors, while give the 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept a track-like look.

We are not sure if the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept car will be ever revealed, but perhaps the technological enhancements that equip the concept, will perhaps inspire other hot versions from BMW, making way for future “GTS” or “CSL” models. More details will be announced at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

Since the famous event taking place each year at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is partly sponsored by BMW, the German based automaker has decided to bring the 2014 M3 along for a little video show off.

The 2014 BMW M3 sedan show in the video is trying to demonstrate its performances by racing its engine to the full.

To be a reminder, the 2014 BMW M3 model was unveiled last year, being closely related to its M3 Convertible sibling, as well as with the M4 model.

As seen in the clip, the M3 is throttling its unit to the max, as it is based on the same 3.0-liter twin turbo straight-six cylinder, also seen on the M3 Convertible and the M4.

The engine produces a total output of 431 horsepower along with 550 Nm of torque, available between 1,850 rpm and 5,500 rpm.

The BMW M3`s unit is hooked to a 6-speed manual transmission or the optional 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The BMW Group`s subsidiary Mini has profited the Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este event to come up with its latest creation, which is the Superleggera Vision Concept.

The Mini British based automaker has set the name for this two-seater convertible in collaboration with the famous design house Touring Superleggera, from Milan, Italy.

Anders Warming, the Chief Design at Mini, has stated that the Mini Superleggera Vision concept is a reiteration of the old time`s “reduction to the essentials”, as the car is now more energetic and with a more minimalists design, just as it used to be.

“At the same time it creates unique emotional beauty in combining the past and future of the automotive industry, i.e. traditional coachwork craftsmanship and modern design styling,” Warming also said.

But the Mini Superleggera Vision concept doesn’t lack technology or modern features, like the hand-crafted body-styling wrapped in carbon fiber, especially at the front splitter, as well as at the side sills.

More than that, the bespoke Como Blue finish is in perfect balance with the Superleggera`s interior, where it received a premium leather upholstery and modern technologies like the digital instrument cluster, as well as the touch sensitive controls.

The BMW German based luxury automaker has profited the elegance competition taken place at Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este, to show off with its remarkable Vision Future Luxury Concept, unveiled back in April, in China.

The BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept is a tribute given to luxury, style, elegance, as well as high technology.

Thus, the BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept first comes with the latest high components like the light and the most durable carbon fiber and composite materials, also seen on the “i” model.

Also, inside the wonderful and high-tech Future Luxury Concept, the cabin is full with technology, starting with the devices being connected to different gadgets and finishing with the infotainment systems that put a happy smile on your face.

Adrian van Hooydonk, the Senior Vice President of Design at BMW, stated that the BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept is meant to inspire and influence the future, in terms of technology and high-performance.

“The BMW Vision Future Luxury – with its innovative technologies and with meticulous precision and quality in every detail – takes our thinking on modern luxury a logical stage further,” van Hooydonk also said.

And just to be clear, these will be two brand new concepts the German car maker has revealed that they will be presenting to the show.

2014 marks the 85th edition of the event, but above that, it also marks the 10th year BMW is collaborating with the Villa d’Este.

The centenary seems to be the perfect reason for BMW to display two concepts, of which only one being a car, with the second being a motorcycle. If BMW’s new bike will fit in with the classics promised to make an appearance remains to be seen, but chances are, the manufacturer will try to not just make it fit in, but rather shine among them.

Unfortunately, no real details were revealed, and until we close in on the opening date, chances are BMW will do its best to keep things under wraps. Last year, the German manufacturer presented the Gran Lusso Coupe, a concept developed in tandem with Pininfarina. While it didn’t manage to steal the show, it did make quite an impression, and it did set quite an act to follow for BMW. Let’s just hope they will deliver this year.

It has been well known for quite a while that Pininfarina started to collaborate with BMW for a new concept that should wear the name of BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe.

After all, the concept was first introduced in May 2013, during a special contest – Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

To connoisseurs, that is thep lace where the most luxurious and exclusivist designs are introduced and the fact that BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe went in says a lot!

So what can we personally appreciate more about its design? The twin – circular led lights or the matte sheen grille made from aluminum?

One of the widely discussed design elements at BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe were the sporty yet surprisingly elegant wheels of 21 inch.

Even so, the most breathtaking view is the one from the inside, where comfort, sportiness and elegance bind together in unique geometrical details.

Take a further look at close up shots and you will conclude that BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe is one of the most beautiful and elegant combinations we have seen so far. Can you name a more beautiful one?

BMW pulled the wraps off an impressive concept model developed in partnership with Pininfarina. We talk about the BMW Gran Lusso Coupe, a concept which debuted few days ago at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

With a futuristic approach, the German prototype comes with more aggressive LED headlights, a larger front grille, sloping roofline, large 21-inch alloy wheels and new taillights.

Even the exterior styling is breathtaking, the interior is even more impressive being fitted with Tobacco Brown leather, rare kauri wood trim, LED ambient lighting, Italian wood headliner and a sport steering wheel.

Under the hood we find a powerful 6.0-liter V12 engine rumored to produce around 550 horsepower and 750Nm of torque.

With this been said, it remains just to check the comprehensive photo gallery below and admire the newest BMW concept, a prototype which somehow shows how future BMW models will look like, or at least, how much potential is in terms of design.

A German company like BMW does a lot of things for fun, entertainment and everything you might need to make your spine tingle behind the wheel but this is still unexpected.

A fresh unveiling from the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este is wearing a BMW badge. It’s called the BMW Zagato Coupe so you can imagine the counterpart behind it.

Italian coachbuilder Zagato already created a couple of concepts for BMW, both coupes, but this one has something different about it.

Unlike the BMW M1 Hommage or the 328 Hommage concept, this Zagato product seems like the it’s here to be shown off for the actual future rather than a small presence at the time.

Though some already seem horrified at the idea, this could be the sportier Z4 that we’ve been recently promised. Maybe a racing car could spawn off this model to say the least.

I’m not pushing for its favor since I’m not the biggest fan around but even I can’t deny the BMW Zagato Coupe is a looker.

I’d probably have a second look at the back and that rather steeply cut side window before making it into a production vehicle but overall it seems like a pleasant deal.

If that won’t be the case I probably won’t be disappointed with the final product. Also, fans of Zagato will tell you that this is no fragile show toy.

The BMW Zagato Coupe is actually a perfectly running one off model. It may have been by hand by Zagato’s craftsmen but underneath it’s as solid as a BMW should be.
