We all know that one guy that will constantly talk about his car, brag about even the smallest detail on it and generally be obsessed with it. That is what a true fan is.

Bachir from Lebanon is a BMW fan, and his love for the brand is almost on par with his love for his fiancee Layal.

While visiting the BMW Welt, Bachir decided to talk to the German car maker and organize a very special marriage proposal. Aided by the company, he got into a brand new BMW M3, and using BMW’s intercom system gathered quite a crowd before propping the big question to Layal.

Fortunately, it all went rather well and Bachir promised that a whole bunch of M vehicles will be part of the wedding. The whole thing was a nice way for BMW to give something back to a true fan, and while this is not the only helping hand BMW extended over the years, nor is BMW the only car maker to do this, it does feel nice to know not all big companies are heartless machines.

BMW fans are already familiarized with the rather unique sales experience proposed by the BMW Welt building in Munchen.

Opened only a few years ago, the Munchen center allowed its clients a fascinating behind-doors experience prior to claiming their BMW car and leaving the building behind a brand new car wheel.

Six years later from that memorable moment, over 100.000 people stepped into the BMW Welt center. The 100.000th buyer, received only these days, also happened to be the 101.000th buyer, given the fact it had bought two units, a BMW X3 and a 3-Series Gran Turismo.

Many were skeptical about BMW’s initiative of letting customers visiting their platform, only that it was quite a successful idea. Just to give an example, in 2012 there were over 20.000 people who paid them a visit and according to Thomas Muderlak, BMW Welt boss, predictions are positive for this year too.

After all, the current statistics indicate that anything in between 80 and 120 cars are delivered at Welt, daily, and no matter how many cars are sold annually, we know for a fact that over 2 million people visit them regularly, beginning with 2007.

“Why is this so important?”, you may ask me. Well, for the people at BMW is important, they even published a press release regarding this event. The American pop singer Katy Perry decided to film a spot called “Future Girl” for people at ProSieben. As the title of the spot says, “Future Girl”, Katy Perry needed a “Future Place To Film”, and BMW Welt in Munich proved to be the ideal place for filming this spot.

The futuristic design of the Hall and Auditorium of BMW Welt along with the Double Cone provided the perfect place for the “Future Girl” spot, the action being performed in future, in 2050. Katy Perry also signed the BMW Welt guestbook in a less conventional way, by kissing it.

BMW Welt is considerated the most attractive place in Munich, over 2 million visitors coming to see the BMW’s futuristic building. Thomas Muderlak, the manager of BMW Welt said that it was a pleasure for him to take part of the filming for the new Katy Perry spot.
