BMW is not the car maker that pioneered laser headlights, but they managed to become the first manufacturer to fit them on production vehicles.

In fact, they were neck in neck with Audi for a while, but manage to deliver the vehicles first.

This is a step forwards for the automotive industry, albeit not a very big one, as this is not such a leap forward. Still, there are a couple of markets out there that are not ready to receive such vehicles. Surprisingly enough, these are two of the larger ones, namely the US and Australian markets.

While Australia is now in the process of homologating the laser headlights, no word has been received from the US market. It is not uncommon for new products to encounter difficulties when faced with the somewhat old laws and regulations. Let’s hope US will also sort this out and not force BMW to change the headlight on the i8.

At the New York Auto Show, the German carmaker announced that the new BMW 328d will arrive in the States soon.

Today, we have another great news for diesel-enthusiasts as BMW officially said that the xDrive Sports Wagon variant of the same 3 Series model will be available in the States starting this year.

The German family model packs a 2.0-liter unit producing 180 horsepower and 379Nm of torque. The new model will be available exclusively with the xDrive all-wheel drive system and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.

Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes about 7 seconds while average fuel economy figures are rated at 37mpg US. There will be a total of four trim levels, namely Luxury, Sport, Modern and M Sport Package, nothing new on this side.

U.S. customers will be able to get their hand on the new BMW 328d xDrive Sports Wagon starting this fall. Pricing details will be released closer to the launch.

In fact, North America BMW CEO Jim O’Donnel said that the program has even helped the company in building a successful business for Pre-Owned vehicles in the US because of the BMWs that came to the dealers in pristine condition.

With a philosophy that customers should only worry about insurance, fuel and tire costs, BMW first introduced the maintenance (scheduled) for the 1993 models 750iL Sedan and 850Ci Coupe and after some time, expanded it to Full Maintenance in order to include the 1997 models and at the same time ensured a Scheduled Maintenance plan for all other models featuring a three year period or 36,000 miles.

With the start of the new millennium, that plan became a Full Maintenance that covered items that could wear and further expanded it starting with the 2003 model year to the present 4 years or 50,000 miles so that it could be the same as the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period. The BMW Ultimate Service now takes care of all repairs during the period at no additional cost.

If you are an US citizen and also a fan of the BMW M3s and you really want to get this BMW M3 GTS, I think that you feel very disappointed right now or at last I would be but some of you may think that it’s a good reason not to buy such a car but others may get mad.

The reason that this 2011 BMW M3 GTS is not going to be released in US is that it doesn’t pass any EPA or federal safety standards. Also, this 2011 BMW M3 GTS weight 3,285 pounds while the 2011 BMW M3 weights 3,704 pounds so it’s quite a big difference.

In the latest time BMW kept some news and didn’t release it to the public but I think that I know why they did this namely to release them at the Detroit Auto Show and even if they didn’t plan to do this, you must notice that they really make their presence felt right there.

As you can see in the title, now we come with the prices for the 2011 BMW 740i / 740Li. To tell you from now, 2011 BMW 740i / 740Li’s prices are starting from $71,025 and I think that it is a right price for such a luxury car.

Anyway, as you see in the title, these prices are just for U.S. The lowest price, namely $71,025 is for the 2011 BMW 740i but the 2011 BMW 740Li starts from $75,425 but there is not a big difference at all if you have enough money for such a car.

As I said, I love this car but there is no doubt that it is built for business people because it is sold at big prices and I would also like to inform you that the owner of such a car stays usually on the back seat because it has there anything he like.

Anyway, I would also like to tell you that BMW 740i & 740li’s debut has been announced today by BMW. These 2 cars are powered by a 6 cylinder engine that will be able to develop up to 315 horsepower at 5800 rotations per minute and a torque of 330 lb-ft.

Few months ago we were also informed that the Saudi Arabia purchased 132 BMW 740i and 740Li cars. Anyway, these two cars are going to be one of the most luxury BMW limousines and even from the all limousines of the world, for more photos just make a Google search because these 2 cars really deserves your attention.

The BMW 730d is currently available in Europe.

It has a 3000 cc engine, 245 horse power and it shouldn’t be heavier than 4600 pounds. Because of the fuel-efficiency, the Diesel engine is very appreciated by customers and many people would like to see the BMW 730d in the United States. This is why BMW has managed to receive the approval for selling their cars over US territory, in exactly 50 states. With the new engines, any car can meet the harsh demands imposed by the US government. There are some aspects which aren’t perfect yet, but the BMW 730d will soon be available in the US too.

There are a few other cars which might get diesel engines, such as the X6 and X5.
