Those living in Germany back in the 1980s would definitely remember the iconic E30 M3, an exquisite model that used to turn a lot of heads on the streets.

It was considered state-of-the-art, extremely powerful and coming with lot of impressive driving dynamics. The model was also priced at £26,000, which back then, was a lot of money.

One particular model, looking pristine, is ready to find it owner, coming with a price tag between £30,000- £35,000.

The model will be available for sale at the Silverstone Auctions starting 25th of February, at Stoneleigh Park in Coventry, United Kingdom.

As aforementioned, the model looks pristine and was well-taken care off. It was brought from Germany in the UK about a decade ago and had five owners, with the last one being an Irish BMW classic lover, who drove it until it reached 180,247 km.

In case you decide to buy the model at the auction, you will also get some spare parts, meaning two sets of wheels, Cecotto BBS rims, winter tires, as well as a spare engine and gearbox. For extra cash, you can also get the number plate.

It has been a while since we last saw the gorgeous BMW M3 taking on someone its own size in a drag race, but the model is popping up into the spotlights in a recent drag race, against a competitor from Mercedes-Benz, which may be considered out of the M3`s league.

Even if the below Mercedes-AMG A45 might not be the perfect match against the BMW M3, and that because of its much more reduced size and less powerful engine, it may be posing a serious threat to the model.

However, judging by the official figures on paper and not on the image below, there are not so many differences between the two of them, even if they belong to different segments.

Speaking of that, the BMW M3 weighs just 1,635 kg while the Mercedes-AMG A45 tips the scale at 1,555 kg. So we might be looking here at a slight advantage of the A45 over the M3, at least on a straight line sprint, as the one seen below.

As for the car`s official performance, the BMW M3 develops 431 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, if equipped with a seven-clutch transmission, while the Mercedes-AMG A45 churns out 381 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque. Even so, the latter is a tad slower than the M3, which is 4.2 seconds.

There are lots of cool BMW products that can be bought on the tuning market, especially in previous generations, models that come with lots of aftermarket modifications, pristine condition and low mileage…not to mention that they aren`t expensive at all.

However, there are older-generation models that deserve our respect and which can be bought for some serious money, especially if they refer to the CSL high-end version, which used to be a real delight when seeing them revving their engines.

For instance, the owner of the below 2003 E46 BMW M3 CSL is asking $133,502, yet the model coming with just 16,476 miles on board and being adorned with exquisite features at the exterior and a mind-blowing engine under the hood.

Ever since its first unveiling on the market in 2013, the gorgeous BMW M3 has been the delight of all BMW purists worldwide, and that thanks to its extraordinary design and advanced aerodynamics that allowed for impressive performance and torque.

And it was just about time the German carmaker added some new features to the newly unveiled BMW M3, which is actually a facelifted version of last year`s model. The new M3 will hit US dealerships this July, as a 2018 MY.

As we can depict from the pictures below, the 2018 BMW M3 facelifted is looking fresh with some new styling bits, which makes it even more attractive and appealing. Not to mention that mods have also increased the car`s aggressive stance.

For an untrained eye, the new 2018 M3 might look just about the same like the current model, but for a real connoisseur, the high-end sedan is more appealing with a much sportier front and rear end. At the front end, for instance, it has received new headlights and LED light bars which perfectly blend in with the kidney grille.

Inside, the cabin remains pretty much the same, the carmaker only adding the updated illuminated M3 logo on the driver`s and passenger seats.

In case you were wondering that the engine would also suffer any upgrades, then you`re in for a big disappointment, as BMW has left the pot intact. This means that we still have to enjoy, at least for the moment, the high-performance 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-sic cylinder engine, with 425 horsepower, delivering a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, when paired to a six-speed manual transmission. However, with the seven-speed dual-clutch, the same sprint is done in 4.1 seconds.

We have seen plenty of customized BMW M3s in recent years, each build coming with exquisite aero package and impressive power kit under the hood, but the tuning world has recently added another outstanding model to its portfolio.

We are dealing with the below BMW M3 custom-built by HRE Wheels tuning, with race livery which kinda resembles the M3s from the late 80s – early 90s, with an extremely appealing design and vintage wheels.

The list of mods that make this BMW M3 extremely appreciated and standout are “infinite”. It starts with the carbon fiber components and finishes with the tuner`s special wheels, also with a retro-touch of the 90s.

The package starts with the mind-blowing race wrap at the exterior and continues with the yellow tint on the headlights, race front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and carbon fiber rear decklid.

2016 has been a very productive year for BMW, with the carmaker releasing special editions, like the “30 Jahre M3”, as a celebration of 30 years of existence of the M3 on the market, following other exquisite models, such as the M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I.

This limited-run model was recently introduced in Singapore and comes with an exquisite design, impressive features inside the cabin and a hefty price. We are looking here at $408,800.

The model is extremely appealing at the exterior, especially since it comes with the Competition Package, and a plethora of exterior colours, such as Daytona Violet Metallic, Dakar Yellow II and British Racing Green, the latter one being offered for 10 vehicles out of 30.

The special features of the BMW M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I refer to the 20-inch M alloy wheels, high-gloss Shadow Line exterior trim, or exhaust tips finished in black chrome.

As expected, the cabin couldn’t have been left aside, the interior coming with new front seats, laser engraving carbon fiber trim, and the latest technology, also seen on the rest of the high-end models.

In the engine department, the BMW M3 Heritage Collection Singapore Edition I features the same 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine developing 450 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, being sent to the rear axle via a high-performance seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2016 BMW M2 Coupe comes with an extraordinary body styling from the factory, all adorned with M Performance Parts, which make it extremely appealing and quite aggressive.

However, there are tuners worldwide that offer solutions based on the customers` own choice, even if this might concern the fitting of M4 GTS-like styling package.

I mean, why the heck would you install a massive GTS-like kit on a smaller BMW model?!? Even so, regardless of what we think, these things actually take place. And the real example is the M2 Coupe seen below, with styling bits from the M4 GTS.

I can`t say the tuning program is a complete disaster, but it doesn’t fancy my taste. Anyway, the model received carbon fiber parts on the front splitter, adding custom side skirts, rear wing and diffuser. Other features also include blacked-out kidney grilles, exterior accents or the Ohlins Road & Track adjustable coilover system.

The overall body styling is also complemented with the same 20-inch BMW M Competition wheels, also found on the BMW M4 GTS. For this part, I might add that the model looks indeed more aggressive.

The surprises keep on going under the hood, this particular model also coming with a power boost under the hood, thanks to an engine software upgrade and new turbochargers.

In the stock version, the 2016 BMW M2 Coupe packs a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline flat-six engine, churning out 370 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque. This is enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds with a DCT and 4.5 seconds with the manual. With the tuner`s new power kit, this model develops an increased 450 horsepower.

The BMW M3 is making a splashing come-back with another standout tuning project added by no other than HRE Performance Wheels tuning company, one of the most important shops in the wheel industry.

As we can depict from the media gallery below, this particular model comes wrapped with the one-off exterior Grigio Telesto Pearl colour which is actually a Lamborghini-based finish. Even so, it does highlight the car`s aggressive design lines.

At the exterior, the BMW M3 by HRE Performance Wheels comes with slight upgrades, consisting of carbon fiber front lip and trunk spoiler, adding updated ceramic brakes with yellow calipers, the brakes being made from the same carbon fiber.

The aero styling couldn’t be complete without the tuner`s in-house built wheels. We are looking here at the HRE P101 alloys, measuring 20×8.5 up front and 20×10.5 in the back, and adding an extraordinary aggressive attitude.

From what we know, there are not any mods carried out under the hood, the model still packing the stock 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine, with impressive 431 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, enough to allow an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, when hooked to a six-speed manual transmission.

However, with the seven-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), the sedan reaches the same sprint in just 4.1 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h. Racing on public roads has become more and more frequent these days, with a lot of heavily modified sports cars being engaged in dangerous burn outs and drag races.

This is exactly what happened with the driver of this nitrous E36 BMW M3 who believed that his ride was more powerful than the 1,300 HP Volkswagen Golf RS V10.

As we can see in the video below, the driver of the M3 was reckless enough to push the pedal to the medal, activating the car`s nitrous in an attempt to fast pass the Golf RS seen here.

Both models are found on a freeway, with the M3 driver losing control while trying to tackle the Golf model by activating the nitrous mode. In his attempt, the driver lost control and the car`s rear stepped out the freeway, even if he tried to gain control by hard breaking. Eventually, the driver hit the barrier extremely hard, flying and spinning throughout the air, reaching the opposite lane; fortunately for him, he got away with just a few bruises.

The impact could have been harder and the driver could have suffered serious injuries if it hadn’t been for the additional roll cage and other safety measures inside the cabin.

The E36 BMW M3 seen here “was” powered by a 5.0-liter V10 and fully packed with nitrous injection, while its “opponent”, a Volkswagen Golf RS V10 was taking its power from a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V10 with whopping 1,300 horsepower, which is just about enough to take on any hypercar available out there on the market today, not to mention an E36 M3.
