There have been a lot of speculations concerning the BMW`s plans of introducing a Touring version of the one-off BMW M3 Sedan model, that would directly compete the RS4 Avant from Audi or the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Estate.

Soon enough, some reports declared that the carmaker would pull off such a plan, which has been eventually confirmed by BMW, stating that the Touring will never be put to production. We have absolutely no clues how come this decision form BMW`s chiefs.

But rest assure that the great and one-off 2014 BMW M3 Sedan is there to satisfy all its clients worldwide as it symbolizes the German innovative engineering in terms of performance and high-class.

As a reminder, the BMW M3 Sedan was built alongside its sibling the M4 Coupe, both model coming with impressive power and performance. I am talking here about a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight six-cylinder unit.

The engine produces a good 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, available between 1,850 rpm and 5,500 rpm, with the power to be sent to the rear wheels with the help of a six-speed manual, or a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. Add up the BMW M Driver`s Package and you will get to enjoy the top 280 km/h.

The 2014 BMW M3 Sedan has been recently equipped with some M Performance Parts on the body, meaning that 67 M badges will give the model a stand-out look.

The M badges installed on the new M3 Sedan can be visible on the entire body, exhausting shielding, wheels, brake calipers, front suspension, radiator, plastic engine cover, headlights brackets or the engine undertray.

Inside, the M badges can be also noticed on the steering wheel, footrest, backrests, shift knob, front doors sills or the cluster display.

As a reminder, the BMW M3 was launched in 2013, coming in a sedan body style and being powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo engine, which outputs a good 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque.

The model is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, as it is hooked to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The same unit and performance is also found on its older sibling, the M4, launched at the same time.

The fresh out of the box BMW M3 Sedan was recently taken on a POV drive on Spa Francorchamps, the sports car being also showcased in video.

We are talking about a POV video that reveals the high performance of the 2014 BMW M3 Sedan, being tested on Spa Francorchamps.

The POV mode showcases the 2014 BMW M3 Sedan in a Sakhir Orange finish being driven by Ron Simmons from the RSR Racing, the driver “competing” against the M4 Coupe seen in front of him.

To be a reminder, the 2014 BMW M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe are powered by a great 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine, developing a great 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque.

The unit is sending the power to the front wheels with the help of a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which makes the two of them reach the 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h.

The year 2013 turned out to be one of the greatest years ever for the almighty BMW luxury car manufacturer in New Zealand. This is the reason that company will be providing New Zealand with plenty of cars next year as well.

The BMW is preparing the cars expected for the 2014, models which include the all-electric i3, the convertible version of the 4 Series, the 2 Series and the most performing vehicles – the M3 sedan and M4 Coupe.

As I have written previously, the two M cars will be first displayed at the Detroit Motor Show in January, and BMW will also put on a show the new refined X1 compact SUV and the Z4 roadster.

In New Zealand, in the middle of the next year, the BMW will launch the favorite M3 and M4 models that carry a straight six-cylinder engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology that deliver 317kW.

Nina Englert, BMW NZ’s managing director said: “New Zealanders’ appetite for attractive, highly specified and dynamically superior new BMW models has never been stronger.”

Having these said, it`s no wonder that the BMW will still be a killer and the year to come in New Zealand.
