The two i-range models have been receiving both criticisms and round of applauses for their looks, specially customized by Lumma Design, with the i3 seen as the “ugly” one, but the i8 standing at the opposite pole.

With all that, the i3 as well as the i8 are constantly gaining the world`s respect and popularity with their high specs, thin carbon fiber layers, being eco-friendly and offering the performance we have never expected to see.

The two polarizing hybrid-in cars receive the magic touch of the Lumma Design for a more exotic look, due to the great features it has to offer to both i3 and i8.

The i3 wears the 22-inch Lumma CLR wheels, with the body being augmented with a carbon fiber lip for the front bumper and new side skirts, that give the car a whole new look.

On the other hand, the i8 enhances a carbon fiber front spoiler and side skirts, with bespoke matte black wheels and green accents.

The two BMWs are only renderings, but we hope that soon they hit the production line as soon as the i8 will go for sale.

Bulgarian tuner Vilner are starting to get the hang of messing around with BMW products. They may be one of the newest tuners around, but that doesn’t seem to phase them.

The latest project they got involved with is one of the less familiar BMW products, the F800R motorcycle. The name of the new kit is quite familiar though.

It’s called the Predator which seems justified since it gets a makeover about as aggressive as the alien warrior that used to hunt down Arnie.

Other than making the BMW F800R more of a mean looking bike, they’ve also made it less practical, for the full bad boy effect.

Vilner have shortened the bike by 25 cm (roughly 10 inches) and turned into a single seater one. The seat was swapped out for a wider one.

Even though the number of passengers handled by the Vilner BMW F800R has gone down, it should actually be more comfortable.

That’s something that makes sense since Vilner designed the F800R Predator for a Russian business man who happens to be living in their home country.

He’s the one who wanted the new carbon fiber and chrome plated look and he’s the one who specified the newly designed front end.

Taste and practicality aside, it’s almost heart warming to see young car tuners tackle new projects that really stretches their imagination.

The only thing missing from the Predator BMW F800R is an updated engine output, that still stands at the factory spec 87 horsepower.

It’s nice to see a major tuner take time to treat customers to some of the good stuff without using a very expensive new car as a starting base.

Infamous performance tuning specialist G-Power has decided to breathe some extra life into the heart of the BMW M3’s E46 version.

A bit of an aging rock star it may be, but the E46 BMW M3 is no slouch. Even so, the tuner has given it a considerable amount of extra poke.

The 3.2 liter naturally aspirated six cylinder engine receives an ASA T1-518 centrifugal supercharger, a revised exhaust kit and an ECU remap to make them all work together.

Combining them takes total output beyond what the E92 M3 can develop and somewhere around what most people estimate the F30 M3 will produce.

The stats are now at 450 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. That’s a bump of 107 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of twist.

0 to 124 now takes 14.7 seconds and acceleration doesn’t really stop until the top speed figure of 186 is reached.

You’d obviously notice it but you’d also need a few more tricks to keep it civilized. That’s why the G-Power E46 BMW M3 gets some handling updates.

These include an adjustable coil-over suspension, a high performance braking system and a new set of 20 inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Finally, there’s the issue of cost; all of the modifications above cost $27.860. Factor in the cost of the old BMW M3 and you’re still about halfway in terms of costs to what you’d have to pay for a new E92.

The BMW M5 is the sort of performance car that tuning companies don’t shy away from, that’s both good and bad, depending on how big a fan of the car itself you are.

Some improve it while many manage to ruin it with stupid body kits, completely compromised ride or other nuisances such as spoilers, wings and vynil.

Thankfully, the Germans at Manhart Racing have gone a different route and actually made an interesting tune up for the newest edition of the car that got the sport sedan ball rolling.

Manhart Racing’s new MH5 S-Biturbo package comes with a very complicated sounding name and yet is remarkably simple to explain as a tuning proposition for the BMW M5.

The looks are almost exactly the same as you get on the standard car. The only changes can be seen in the alloy wheel set and in the lowered stance.

Wheels are 20 inch / 21 inch and, should you not like the design, they’re optional so you can make yourself a nice sleeper. What isn’t optional is the new suspension.

It’s an adjustable coilover kit which lowers the front end of the BMW M5 by 35 mm and the rear by 30 mm. We’ll assume the comfort factor has a lot to do with that adjustable mention.

Under the bonnet, Manhart Racing had a bit of fun and now the 5.5 liter V8 engine produces 633 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque. Should you feel the need to hear the engine better, a sports exhaust system is also available.

What isn’t available yet but will be in the future is a lot more power. Manhart promise that two more powerful kits will be introduced in a while and they will feature outputs of 670 and 735 hp.

Hamann is a renown German tuner that has shown us once again just how good they can be when they put some proper effort into it.

They’ve turned up at the currently ongoing Geneva Motor Show with a special tuning package for the F10 BMW M5 that looks and should go brilliant.

Essentially, the Hamann F10 BMW M5 is an interior and exterior appearance pack which will soon get quite the performance boost.

It may not be apparent from all angles but this Hamann tune-up has more than a little detail tweak of the F10’s original front and rear bumpers. It’s actually a wide body kit.

Featuring 25 mm front and 30 mm rear wing “lumps” on each side and helped along by a new lowered suspension the Hamann M5 is pure stance.

There are two choices for the 21 inch alloys and either of them gets wrapped in enormous tires at 265/30 front and 325/25 rear.

We see more of this nice detail work with important impact take place on the inside. The leather was upgraded to a finer choice, the trim now includes piano lacquered bits, Alcantara and several bespoke features.

As if all that’s offered so far isn’t exciting enough, Hamann tells us they plan to work up the engine of the F10 BMW M5 by quite a bit.

The 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine will be boosted from the current 560 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque to 720 horses and 664 lb-ft of torque.

All that added grunt should drop the 0 to 62 time to around 4 seconds (if not less) and the top speed might feature the magic 200 mph figure.

The Germans at AC Schnitzer don’t mess about. They’re adamant about the sort of modifications they do to cars so they even change the names.

We’re not very approving of this “idea” but and you can’t deny that without the F30 BMW 328i the AC Schnitzer ASC3 Turbo would never have existed.

Anyway, since we got across it we won’t deny the AC Schnitzer ASC3 Turbo a second glance, particularly the spec sheet section.

The F30 328i’s 2.0 liter turbocharged cylinder produces 240 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and in this form it received plenty of praise.

But the German tuner said it’s not enough so they did a little tinkering with the exhaust and ECU and the figures now come in at 295 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque.

The acceleration from 0 to 62 does drop a little from 5.9 to 5.7 seconds. Overtaking should also feel like you’ve got more poke under the bonnet but there’s something unusual at play.

Despite the added performance the guys over at AC Schnitzer didn’t remove the F30 BMW 3 Series’ top speed limiter so you’ll have to stop at 155 mph.

Since they’ve fitted a sport suspension and offer wheel and tire upgrades. Speaking of the wheels you can have them in 20 inch sized but if you know where performance is, 18s are also available.

The exterior and interior of the F30 BMW 328i have also been tweaked for it to become the ASC3 Turbo. What’s lovable about that is that the numerous changes aren’t easily apparent.

You still get the discrete BMW feel on your custom ride, that’s something quite rare.

AC Schnitzer, the specialist BMW German tuner has announced that they will be getting their own stand at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in order to give us a bit of a treat.

They will be showcasing a specially tuned up version of the latest BMW 3 Series, the F30 model.

It’s a pretty good looking machine but there are a few issues with what AC Schnitzer think the new 3 Series should be like.

The biggest of which is the fact that you’re not getting any performance or technical upgrades of any kind in time for the Geneva Motor Show. They say they are under development but will come in later.

It’s almost fair, since the Geneva Motor Show isn’t exactly a rolling expo so apart from reading a spec sheet, that stuff couldn’t excite you too much there.

What you do get to see is the newly designed aerodynamic body kit, the obligatory sports exhaust system as well as plenty of wheel combinations in sizes starting at 18 and going all the way up to 20 inches.

Inside the F30 BMW 3 Series, AC Schnitzer will be offering a sportier steering wheel, aluminium pedals and custom floor mats and accessories.

Really not a bad offering but I was thinking traditional tuners would take on the F30 3 Series by deleting the headlight parts that are on the verge of touching the kidney grills.

Maybe Alpina will do that at a later time. Those tech kits will come along later and, joy of joy for Europeans, will not leave diesel owners behind.

G-Power is a tuner that has a bit of a love affair with the products of the Bavarians at BMW and they’ve just announced what they plan to do with the new F10 M5.

We’re not getting too many pictures of what the new G-Power BMW M5 will look like but we do at least get a decent enough press release to know what it offers up.

The aesthetic package is about as minimalist as possible and that’s a good think. The best part of the effort G-Power puts into the new M5 is used to make it faster.

Thanks to some fettling with ECU and add a new custom exhaust system, G-Power bumped the output of the 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine considerably.

The figures now go from 560 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque to an impressive 650 horsepower and 573 lb-ft of twist.

Changes in performance are easily noticeable as the sprint from 0 to 62 takes just 3.9 seconds and the one from 0 to 124 takes no more than 11.9 seconds.

The tuner also worked up the handling so that it takes care of the power through the corners with more ease.

The changes here are the addition of a height-adjustable coil-over suspension, a new braking system and a new wheel and tire setup.

The F10 BMW M5 now gets 21 inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

G-Power didn’t really say anything about the top speed figure the newly tuned M5 can hit but they did tell us they’re making a successor to the Hurricane RR model.

Since that model holds the title of world’s fastest sedan car, we’re not exactly looking down at something which is shy on power, are we now?

Talk about being different. Usually when somebody tries to tune up a car they include a new set of wheels to match.

But when it comes to Vossen, when presenting a new set of wheels they’ve decided to create a version of the F10 BMW 5 Series to match.

Without congratulating them too much, Vossen have managed to improve on an already stunning looking car. There’s one niggle but otherwise it’s a fine example of the tuning world.

That single niggle is in the completely pointless and not at all good looking bonnet air vent Vossen applied. The standard engine cover looks miles better.

Other than that, the new body kit is something to be approved. Whichever point of view you take, the F10 BMW 5 Series looks that little bit sharper and younger.

Happily, the newly gained angularity of the 5-er hasn’t been ridiculed and it merely complements the new Vossen wheels rather than outshine them.

If you think about it, Vossen have managed to create quite the showcase for their concave five spoke 20 inch CV3 wheels without most of us even realizing it.

The final details that make the Vossen 5 Series stand out are the dark tinted windows and the brightly chosen Angel Eyes mod.

The latter may not be to everybody’s taste since it kind of gives the F10 BMW 5 Series a bit of a “dumb” staring feel when used.

Since there’s more than one color in the presentation, you’d be best off going for the bright white or the xenon blue “rings” and you’re in business.

The 5 Series being a bread and butter machine may be great for the guys over at BMW but it does raise a bit of a problem for people who actually own the car.

At some point it starts getting rather difficult to distinguish yourself from the crowd of business men and sales reps driving around in theirs.

If you’re not a fan of stickers and hammers, you’ll end up going through tuning companies. Here’s the latest of such proposals and it comes from Royal Muffler.

Contrary to what the name would indicate this new tuning kit for the F10 BMW 5 Series isn’t all about a minor tweak to the exhaust system.

We’re talking about a complete kit that does actually include an engine re-tune and the fitting of a complete sports exhaust system.

Sadly, the chaps over at Royal Muffler haven’t given us any details on the sort of performance this version of the BMW 5 Series can develop.

We do know however that it will sport a full body makeover in the shape of a kit the company borrowed form Wald International.

The new look would be accentuated by a set of 21 inch Forgiato five-spoke alloy wheels in a two-tone finish. Speaking of paint, the same happens with the actual car.

Royal Muffler wrapped this F10 BMW 5 Series in Satin White touch and there’s a pleasant contrast achieved with some black painted details.

Making sure everything has a better look and stability rating, the tuner also fitted a new H&R sports suspension kit.
