There are different reports reaching out the Asian country, according to which the BMW German automaker and the Japanese luxury maker Lexus are working on a new-gen LFA model.

The two rivals are now partnered to set up the forthcoming LFA, but the announcement hasn’t yet been confirmed by the joint ventures.

Thus, the Japanese reports are the only sources to state that the new LFA will be enhanced with the technology also seen on the BMW i8 model, meaning that the model will have a powerful petrol engine backed by an electric motor.

To be a reminder, the Lexus LFA first came with a 4.8-liter V10 unit under the hood, outputting an impressive 560 horsepower at 8,700 rpm along with 480 Nm of torque, at 6,800 rpm.

The Lexus LFA`s power was hooked to a six-speed sequential transmission alongside paddle shifters.

The Lexus LFA has been in production between 2010 and 2012, being sold in just 500 models, the supercar coming with a mid-engine in the front and a rear-wheel drive system assembled in Motomachi, Japan.

There are no other details concerning the performance or the launch of the forthcoming LFA by BMW and Lexus, but new info will be rendered at the moment of its unveil.

If someone would ask me my favorite ActiveHybrid after something like 6 months, it would probably be this BMW ActiveHybrid 5 because I love the BMW 5 Series but at the same time I love the hybrids built by BMW so this would be in the top of my favorite BMW cars.

I also know that there is just one week left until the release at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show. I would also like to tell you that at the moment, this BMW ActiveHybrid 5 remains a concept comparing to BMW ActiveHybrid 7 or BMW ActiveHybrid X6.

People are expecting from this BMW ActiveHybrid 5 to come with a 3.0 liter turbocharged straight-six engine and of course that if it is a hybrid, that engine is combined with a 40 kW electric engine which makes this car to be a perfect city car but also a good car to travel with.

I guess that this is the first tuning package for the new lovely BMW X1 and I feel honored to talk about it because since I saw for the first time photos with BMW X1 and also the details about it, I fell in love with it and you should know that this tuning package makes this car to be more awesome.

This BMW X1 xDrive23d tuned by AC Schnitzer can now develop up to 240 hp while the BMW X1 xDrive20d tuned by AC Schnitzer can develop 210 hp. These upgrades are also available for BMW X1 sDrive.

The main features of this AC Schnitzer tuning package are a new suspension system with a spring kit, an aluminum strut brace and also a new aerodynamic package. These photos with this tuning package is like showing to me another car than the original BMW X1 or a facelift or anything like this.
