It is not every day you see the one-off BMW Z4 being transformed in something unique, as this model eventually ended up, thanks to the aftermarket specialists from the famous German AC Schnitzer tuning company.

I am talking about a bold project carried out on the BMW Z4, the model bearing the ACZ4 5.0d name in its final shape. It involves the sDrive23i version which has been completely customized in terms of performance under the hood.

In order to gain more power, the AC Schnitzer tuner have fitted the BMW ACZ4 5.0d with some cool performance features, like the better suspension system, sportier brakes, while the overall body weight has been also reduced, to improve driving dynamics and performance on the tracks or roads.

As for the engine under the hood, the AC Schnitzer have replaced the old-school 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and fitted the N57S 3.0-liter tri-turbo diesel engine, which now develops an increased 430 horsepower and impressive 840 Nm of torque. The higher performance is also given by the ECU remap, which made its way under the hood as well. With all this new power, the BMW ACZ4 5.0d is now capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, at a toping of 300 km/h.

The BMW ACZ4 5.0d seen here is perhaps the only one to be seen customized by the guys from the AC Schnitzer, the model coming at a whopping price of 113,965 euros. But be glad to see it on the streets in this shape, as the carmaker is planning of putting off the stock version, making room for a future BMW Z5.

It was only a few days ago when we all got to take a look at the latest tuning work of Alpina BMW, the famous Alpina D3 prototype that should be unveiled during the Frankfurt Motor Show and here we are today, putting under scrutiny another recent tuning work, for the same BMW brand, only that this time realized by MWDesign.

The tuned unit is a black BMW Z4, whose performances were seriously skyrocketed and, surprisingly or not, part of the design was inspired from… Nike. Read on and you will discover that some other big names were also involved in developing the BMW Z4 project slingshot.

Long story short, we are talking about a final motoring that should develop up to 400hp respectively 420 lb-ft of torque. The 3.0 liters engine, turbocharged and twin-scroll, gets 116 lb-ft of torque and 78hp alone from the DINAN labeled ECU upgrade.

In order to successfully resist to this power, BMW Z4 also got new shoes, meaning 20-inch wheels in three-piece and a special aluminum finish, plus 245/30/20 front – 285/25/20 rear Toyo Tires.

The list of goodies in this slingshot project also includes an Eisenmann Exhaust and a STETT Performance kit (diverter valves and intercooler). Now enough with the talk, let us enjoy the photos that are absolutely catchy.

With new car models rolling out in such a fast pace, it is sometimes hard for tuning companies to keep up with the ever-growing number of models to modify and because of this some models are a bit left behind. This was the case of the BMW Z4 E85, which stepped down for the E89 present production model. But the spotlight has returned on it thanks to Rieger.

The tuning company decided it was time for the BMW Z4 E85 to get a new look and for this a new body kit was put in place. The body kit is composed of elements such as a new splitter made of carbon fiber, a rear diffuser (with optional carbon fiber styling) and new side skirts. The car also received a lower suspension and a new set of wheels to make it young again.

Unfortunately, Rieger has only offered a new facelift for the BMW Z4 roadster, but all in due time. Still, considering how many people own a BMW Z4 E85, Rieger couldn’t have made a better choice. So, if you want to add a new look to your Z4, you know who to call.

It’s time for the BMW Z4 to take some new attitude and looks and a new tuning company has done it in order to show to the rest of the world what a little tinkering with the Z4 can achieve. This company is based in Germany and is called SKN.

The SKN BMW Z4 RS (sDrive35i) has been designed with daily use in mind and is said to have made everyone that saw it happy. According to SKN, almost 20,000 euros worth of upgrades went into the car, resulting in a more responsive vehicle which is capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in a little over 4.1 seconds and having a top speed of 295 kmh. Thanks to the SKN Power Tuning Stage 3 upgrade, the engine’s power exceeded 400 hp.

The BMW Z4 RS now features a stainless steel exhaust made by SKN, SKN clutch, new brakes, 19-inch wheels among others. And if you have worries about the credibility of the company, rest assured because SKN used to work on the police cars which are used in undercover missions.

If you want to buy your own SKN BMW Z4 RS, a unit is already for sale with the price tag of 59,143 euros VAT included.

Even if the new Z4 is basically open for business, some tuning companies are still building new kits for the old BMW Z4 E85.
