Good news for BMW 1M Coupe owners, who want more from their iconic model. The key to a successful body and power kit is the OK-Chiptuning, a famous aftermarket German based shop which deals mostly with BMW customization programs.

As we can see from the pictures below, this BMW 1M Coupe is standing out from the crowd with some new body elements, like the carbon fiber rear diffuser, radiator grilles, mirror caps, monotube coilovers from H&R, all complemented by the 20-inch Schmidt CC-Line wheels.

Inside, changes are also visible, thanks to the M Performance steering wheel as well as the new gear knob. But the real changes are found under the hood.

As you probably know, the BMW 1M Coupe was equipped with the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder twin turbo engine, capable of producing a good 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Well, thanks to the new power kit, mainly consisting of a remapped ECU, the Evo 2 Performance intercooler, new downpipes by Wagner Tuning, Eisenmann exhaust system or the Sachs performance clutch, this model is capable of producing even more.

I am talking here about 450 horsepower and a “reasonable” 710 Nm of torque, which will make it even faster from 0 to 100 km/h than the stock 4.9 seconds. But unfortunately, we do not have the precise performance figures.

A BMW 1M Coupe has been recently previewed in a video, packing huge V8 unit under the hood, which means an additional power and torque.

The BMW 1M Coupe seen here is packing a huge V8 unit, the model receiving the power soon after it was launched on the market by the German carmaker.

We are talking about a tuned up engine, the carmaker dropping off the 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine which used to develop 340 horsepower, at 5,900 rpm and 550 Nm of torque.

The new 4.0-liter V8 unit packed on the BMW 1M Coupe is now capable of developing an impressive 414 horsepower, available at 8,300 rpm and 400 Nm of torque, at 3,900 rpm.

Since the standard BMW 1M Coupe is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, we can dare to think that this particular one is capable to run the straight line even faster.

After being rumored and caught on shots many times, the BMW M2 will be finally showcased at the 2015 NAIAS, Detroit, next January.

We are not talking here about an official confirmation from the German based luxury carmaker, but a recent report released by Auto Express, states the presence of the BMW M2 at the 2014 NAIAS, in Detroit.

The news is also confirmed by Carsten Priest, the chief at the M`s department, mentioning that the M2 will take over the battle left by the 1M Coupe.

The BMW M2 will sport a more aggressive body kit than the M235i, while under the hood, the sports car will pack a 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit, also seen on the M3 Sedan, M4 Cabrio and the M4 Coupe.

Even so, this particular model will sport less power, meaning a total output of 374 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque, hooked to a 6-speed manual transmission, or the optional 7-speed automatic M DCT.

The BMW M2 might hit its dealerships at the end of the next year.

A heavily customized BMW 1M Coupe by Dinan tuning company has become available on Craiglist at the right price of $79,000, while the standard version was put on sales at $47,030, back in 2011 when it first came on the market.

The famous aftermarket specialists from the Dinan tuning company has modified the 1M Coupe, to deliver more throttle and performance.

We are talking thus about the small and lightweight 1M Coupe now receiving a special treatment from Dinan tuning, which would eventually make the sportscar handle a great deal of grip.

The “Brutally Perfect” sports car, as the Road & Track magazine would call it, received the BMW N54 Dinan personal turbocharged engine, that now produces 444 horsepower at 6,300 rpm and 450 lb-ft of torque, available at 3,300 rpm.

The engine of this rare BMW 1M Coupe is hooked to a six-speed transmission, with the sportscar managing to hit the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds.

There were only 740 units being sold in the United States when it was first launched in 2011 and perhaps this rare model will be sold in an instant on the web.

For most of us, the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe is already an impressive model thanks to its power and sporty character. The German model benefits from a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine capable to deliver 335 horsepower and 450Nm of torque.

However, the tuning specialists from G-Power thought that the tiny German model can do a lot more and this is how the G1 V8 Hurricane RS model was born.

We already talked about the new model here, but this time, we get the opportunity to see G-Power’s creation in its first drive.

Christian Gebhardt, test drive editor at SportAuto, managed to be the first to test the V8-powered 1M Coupe, a model which is capable to deliver a total output of 600 horsepower and 580Nm of torque thanks to a 4.0-liter supercharged engine.

AC Schnitzer released first details on their new tuning kit, a package specially developed for the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe. The German tuners bring both aesthetic and performance upgrades, the model following to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Under the bonnet, the stock 3.0-liter turbocharged unit is able to offer 400 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 560 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm.

The additional 60 horses and 110 Nm of torque are achieved by few usual tricks such as a remapped ECU unit or a revised exhaust system. There is also a high performance braking system with 6 and 4 pistons. With the power boost, the German model is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,7 seconds and hit a top speed of 300 km/h.

At the exterior, the German specialists decided to add a body kit including air vents for the bonnet, new front spoiler and a rear diffuser. All these components are made of carbon fiber while new 19 or 20-inch wheels are available as well.

Inside, AC Schnitzer opted for Valencia Orange trim, aluminium pedals, handbrake handle and gear knob but also a repainted centre console.

The new BMW 1 Series M Coupe is starting to receive more and more attention from tuning companies, this time the German specialists from APP Europe coming with their own proposal. On the styling side, the tuning house opted for new ATS alloy wheels painted in black with Pirelli P-Zero tires, new exterior graphics and revised badges. Inside, the customers will receive Alcantara upholstery, BMW Performance seats but also a new steering wheel.

However, these improvements are not that important as the model received some performance upgrades too, improvements able to boost its sporty character even more.

To be more precise, the 3.0-liter turbocharged unit which delivers 340 horsepower received a reworked ECU unit along a larger intercooler. With these modifications but also with a new titanium sport exhaust system, the German model is able to produce 410 horsepower.

We know that the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe is already a fast and agile model, therefore, these improvements will do nothing but increase the performance.

Other features include new braking system with ceramic discs but also a KW Variante 3+ suspension. The new tuning package is priced at €20,000.

Manhart Racing tuners decided to take care of the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe and squeeze extra power from the twin-turbo unit which sits under the bonnet. Even the new 1M Coupe already provides decent performance thanks to the power output combined with the low total mass, the tuners from Manhart Racing decided that extra power could bring nothing but increased performance.

In this situation, they’ve developed a performance upgrade for the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine which develops now 420 horses, a significant increase over the standard 340 horsepower. In order to achieve these figures, the tuners fitted the German model with a new sport exhaust system but also recalibrated the ECU unit.

With 80 horsepower in addition, the acceleration and top speed figures should improve but the tuners released no details in this regard. However, they improved the appearance of the German model by installing a new body kit which includes a set of 20-inch alloy wheels, a rear air diffuser and body graphics.

It seems that the newest member of the M family gets more and more attention from tuners, a new package being revealed today by Asian specialists from RevoZport. The good news is that the 1M Raze P450 brings both aesthetic and performance improvements, the latter upgrade being something really interesting considering that the German model already has a big potential on the circuit as we have seen in this video where a BMW enthusiast raced against a BMW M3 CSL on the Nurburgring.

RevoZport focused on reducing weight and adding extra horsepower by operating some basic tweaks for a tuning house. To be more precise, the tuning house revised the ECU unit, added a titanium exhaust system along high-flow air filters and a new intercooler.

However, they decided to keep secret the horsepower amount but there are some rumors that RevoZport’s BMW 1 Series M Coupe produces 450 horses.

This mainly comes from the package’s name, Raze P450, and judging by the pretty long additional performance improvements we have all the reason to believe that they managed to squeeze more than 100 horsepower over the stock version.

On the other hand, the styling tweaks include a roof spoiler, front splitter, rear diffuser, revised front grille, GT spoiler, side skirts, mirror covers and a new bonnet. A rear wing and new alloy wheels in a black finish are available too. All these components are made of lightweight carbon fiber, RevoZport managing to cut more than 60 kilograms from the total mass.

The RevoZport BMW 1M Raze P450 is a project made in collaboration with CP Engineering and should bring the German model at a new level considering that they managed to reduce the weight of the model and improve the power figures.

We really don’t know if there are truly 450 horses under the bonnet but whatever the situation, it stills remains a noteworthy proposal for the 1M Coupe.

Here we have a very interesting race against the freshly revealed BMW 1 Series M Coupe and the older but more powerful BMW E45 M3 CSL. Another important thing to know is that behind the steering wheel are not professional drivers but BMW enthusiasts. However, the result is pretty impressive and we can clearly see that the new 1M Coupe is a quite decent racing car even compared with a renowned model such the previous-generation M3 CSL.

The race has been held at the Nurburgring circuit, the gap between the two German models being somewhere around 25 seconds. To be more precise, the BMW M3 CSL lapped the famous German circuit in 7:50 while the smaller 1M Coupe in 8:15.

According to the driver’s statements, the lap time would have been better but the traffic and the accident in the last part of the circuit caused some delays and added few extra seconds in the end. Another noteworthy fact is that the BMW 1 Series M Coupe was fitted with no extra equipment while the M3 CSL has additional features for better performance on the circuit.

The BMW M3 CSL is fitted with 18-inch wheels with Pilot Sport Cup tires, a Titan exhaust system with racing catalytic converters, a roll cage, a high performance coil-over suspension and race seats and harnesses at the interior.

As you know, the smallest M ever created comes with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine able to deliver 335 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. When coupled to a six-speed manual transmission, same as the model in the video, it sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 250 km/h.

On the other hand, the older BMW M3 CSL packs a 3.2-liter engine producing 360 horsepower at 7,900 rpm and 370 Nm of torque at 4,900 rpm. This means that the M3 CSL has an output-per-liter figure of 111 horsepower, quite similar to the opponent. With this been said, I invite you to watch the battle between the new member of the M family and the reputable and bulkier M3 CSL.
