MINI has recently introduced the special edition of the Countryman, named the Countryman Park Lane, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, completing thus the entire Countryman fleet.

The 2015 MINI Countryman Park Lane will be coming on the market this summer and will be available in three versions, the Cooper, the Cooper S as well as the Cooper S ALL4. The special edition will be indeed special as it will sport a one-off body paint, while inside interesting features are found too.

The 2015 MINI Countryman Park Lane is coming with the Earl Grey metallic exterior finish and the Oak Red, the latter one wrapping the hood, the lower sections as well as the tailgate. To complement the entire body design and colors, the model will also wear the 18-inch alloy wheels, along with the Oak Red chrome accents.

Inside the cabin, the 2015 MINI Countryman Park Lane will come with the “Park Lane” badging, with the entire cabin to sport the silver and black colors. On the other hand, the door bezels may also become available in the Oxide Silver finish, while the Cross Stripe Gray trim will be seen on the side surrounds of the center console. Unfortunately, there is now news concerning the powertrain and the performance of the model.

Heads off for BMW`s Hamann tuning division, as the guys over the shop have customized the BMW X6 and then headed it the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The upgraded model has received a lot of goodies in terms aesthetics and power under the hood.

First, the BMW X6 by Hamann is looking gorgeous, as the powerful SAV is now looking fresh, with a bold design, thanks to the new front grille and lower bumper, the latter sporting a deeper air intake with integrated LED lights. More body parts refer to the new side skirts, flared arches for the fenders and a few more.

To complement the entire body design, the BMW X6 by Hamann has been also fitted with the one-off 22- or 23-inch alloy wheels, all wrapped in the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti , as well as the well-known Pirelli P Zero Nero tires.

The most interesting part should have been under the hood, but the Hamann tuning division has not announced any modifications so far. We might think that the new X6 by Hamann might pack a tri-turbocharged diesel unit, translated through impressive power. Perhaps more news concerning the powertrain and the prices will be revealed after the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

Alpina models from BMW have always been fancy cars and cool rides for both youngsters and older fellows, as it has always combined the pleasure of driving and the beautiful body design. Now, BMW has sent the Alpina B5 Edition 50 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, as a tribute to the carmaker`s 50 years of existence on the market.

But the bad news is that the latest edition from Alpina, the B Edition 50 will be limited, with only 100 units to be produced. However, the Alpina B Edition 50 model will not come cheap, even if the prices have not been yet revealed. There are always sources and reports to back these rumors.

Since we are talking here about a special model, the B Edition 50 will come completely configured with a lot of high-performance components, like the optional performance brakes with four-piston calipers, the mechanical slip differential lock, the Brembo 395 mm diameter brake discs, or the control systems.

And if that wasn’t enough, the BMW Alpina B Edition 50 will also come with the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, the carbon fiber panels, or the 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

Inside, the BMW Alpina B Edition 50 will come with a variety of interesting gizmos, like the Alpina logos all over the cabin, the Edition 50 lettering, the black and green seats, the backrest center panels and a few more.

Under the hood, the BMW Alpina B Edition 50 will fit a 4.4-liter V8 biturbo unit, which will churn out an impressive 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, which will make the hot ride sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, at a topping of 330 km/h. Amongst other models ready to be unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the BMW German based carmaker has also launched the BMW 2-Series Gran Tourer, which is now completing the 2-Series lineup.

The model is based on the same UKL Platform also used on the BMW vehicles and will underpin a front-wheel drive layout, leaving room inside for the third seat row. The model is actually an extended version of the previous one, coming with a lot of features just like the 2-Series Active Tourer.

Now, the most interesting part about the BMW 2-Series Gran Tourer is that it will come with a wide array of three- and four-cylinder units, closely followed by an xDrive version as well. The first to start with is the 219i, which will underpin a 1.5-liter TwinPower three-cylinder unit, developing 136 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque.

Next, the 220i version is coming with the 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder, outputting 192 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, jumping from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds. Other engines follow, like the three diesels, set up for the 216d, which will receive the 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder, with 116 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, the 218d with the 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder, as well as the 220d xDrive, with the same 2.0-liter unit, which develops 190 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

BMW has brought a lot of cool models at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, amongst which the updated version of the present BMW M135i was also unveiled, wearing the M aerodynamic package, that can be translated through some new and outstanding body parts.

The M package now includes wider outer air intakes at the front apron which make place for the optional fog lamps, new chrome trim on the air intake, giving the model an extraordinary look, also complemented by the Ferric Grey exterior paint finish.

The body components don’t stop here, as we move at the rear end, where the apron is now fitted with a one-off diffuser, finished in the Dark Shadow metallic paint. Add the sporty black chrome tailpipe features and you have a nervous soundtrack when revving the engine.

Speaking about performance, the 1-Series` top of the line M125i facelift is powered by a strong enough engine to deliver 326 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, which helps the sports car reach the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in just 5.1 seconds, when hooked to an 8-speed Sports automatic gearbox.

Fortunately for BMW fans all over the world, the BMW manufacturer has also announced the pricing details, meaning that the BMW M135i will have a base price of 41,900 euros for the manual, while the M135i xDrive will set you back at 46,050 euros.

The BMW M4 MotoGP safety car has finally made its way to the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the model being already previewed with a water injection system. The carmaker has made the best out of it to showcase it at the event.

This is a premiere for the BMW, as the water is injected into the collector, allowing a closer ignition “to the optimum value by lowering the tendency of the unit to knock.” But to achieve that, the BMW M4 Coupe would need a 5-liter tank installed in the trunk.

Every movement, the valves as well as the ignition system is controlled via the car`s sensors with connects all that with the engine. For a proper work, the car needs to refill the water tank every five stops.

Frank van Meel, the chief at BMW M Division, has mentioned that his department is presently working on a revolutionary water injection system, for improved performance and fuel reduction. We will be using this technology in the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car for the 2015 season for the first time,” van Meel also concluded.

Apart from the water injection system, the BMW M4 MotoGP SafetyCar is also coming with some interesting features in terms of features, such as the wide carbon fiber rear wing and front splitter, while inside, the model is coming with the Recaro racing seats, roll bar and the motorsport fire extinguisher.

We are not sure how much more power the BMW M4 will be producing with this new water injection system, but it would be definitely higher than the stock 41 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, for its 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo unit.

The BMW German based premium carmaker has prepared some special extra goodies for the i8 plug-in hybrid, the model now being set to tackle its direct rival, the Tesla Model S, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.

We are talking here about a facelift carried out on the BMW i8, which mainly consists of some new finishes inside the cabin and some additional tweaks at the drivetrain. First off, the model will come with a one-off Carpo Carum Grey color, complemented by the Carum Grey leather seats, while the seatbelts are now fitted with the I Blue metallic trim.

Other new features include the high gloss brake calipers, leather engine cover, as well as the “Pure Impulse Experience Program,” which puts together the “exclusive lifestyle options in the areas of culture, design, travel and gastronomy in keeping with the progressive and sustainable “next premium” approach of the BMW i brand,” to quote some officials from BMW.

As a short reminder, the BMW i8 “green” sports car is taking its power from a hybrid synchronous motor under the hood, developing 131 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.

The synchronous motor is also backed by an I3 1.5-liter turbo unit, developing an additional 228 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, outputting a total of 357 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque.

The BMW fans will not get the chance to see the M4 Iconic Lights at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, as the German premium carmaker has decided not to present the model at the event.

The reason might be an awkard one, as representatives from BMW recently stated during an official report that the model requires a lot of space to be displayed, but since every camaker has a rather limited space to showcase their new models, this will not happen.

But looking on the bright side, officials also stated that the BMW M4 Iconic Lights will be coming soon. ”Yes these lights will appear in a production model within the next two years. Unfortunately I can’t say what at present it is some time off,” officials also concluded.

To be a reminder, the BMW M4 Iconic Lights was first presented at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, with the model to be originally heading to Geneva. The model is a revolutionary one, as it is now equipped with the latest generation of headlights, which can warn drivers up to 100 meters in case of human and animal presence up ahead.

More than that, the BMW M4 Iconic Lights is also fitted with the latest innovation in navigation system, OLED taillights, which uses ”water thin semiconducting layers of organic materials” to produce the light.

The BMW 2-Serries Hybrid prototype is ending up in our news again, as the model in question was caught on shots while performing some track tests at Nurburgring.

The BMW 2-Series Hybrid model was first rumored during the International Media Launch, where the German carmaker launched its 2-Series Active Tourer front-wheel drive model, with the diesel-powered engines to be unveiled later on in March, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

It was then when we clearly understood, also based on the info released at that time, that a 2-Series Active Tourer Hybrid might become available in a front-wheel drive as well, starting with 2015.

The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer will thus be powered by an electric motor, which will send the power to the front wheels, the carmaker also preparing an all-drive layout system.

The electric motor found at the rear, will be backed by a three-cylinder petrol unit, which will stand at the front wheels, both of them being enough powerful to allow a four-wheel drive mode.

We are still not sure about the performance that the engine would develop, but rumors also stated that the 2-Series Active Tourer Hybrid would come with 190 horsepower, making the car reach the 0 to 100 km/h mileage in under eight seconds.

It is definitely a certainty that the BMW German based automaker is continuously working on its models, which is also the case of the 6-Series model, being launched for some tests.

The so called 2016 BMW 6-Series model was caught on shot while wearing some slight camouflage on public roads.

We are thus talking about some slight modifications made at the front fascia, on the rear end, as well as on the front fenders.

Inside, the future BMW 6-Series is also believed to come with a few tweaks, like the iDrive touch-sensitive controller, along with other interesting gizmos as well.

The 2016 BMW 6-Series is believed to come with major changes under the hood, where the company might use some upgraded engines.

The BMW German based carmaker is also planning to introduce the whole 6-Series lineup, meaning that the cabrio, as well as the M model for this series will also see the day light next year.
