BMW continues promoting the new M5 F10 with a new video revealing the M version of the current 5 Series being tested at the Miramas track in the south of France. At first, I hoped that the prototypes in the video dropped the camouflage wear but sadly some parts of the aerodynamic package are still covered.

However, the video featuring BMW’s new M model wants to underline the performance of the vehicle on the track. Under the bonnet, the new BMW M5 F10 fits a 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine developing around 590 horsepower together with a special DCT seven-speed gearbox from the M division.

The Bavarians succeeded to reproduce a variety of driving conditions from a dry and clean track to a wet surface and from round and straight road to steep hills and tight corners.

After the latest information on the new BMW M5 F10, which was a half an hour raw footage while the model was tested in Sweden, the German M model gets leaked in the following photos shot at a private event in Munich.

Unfortunately for the Germans, the new BMW M5 F10 got leaked ahead of its official debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. The journalists selected to participate at the event decided to give us some photos with the new M5, more exactly with a concept version that most likely will be exactly the same with the series version.

Together with the new M5 F10 which can be admired without any camouflage, the Bavarians revealed the pickup version of the current generation M3, the German’s April Fool’s joke for their fans.

Of course, the main attraction was the new BMW M5 F10 as the M3 pickup has been already revealed by the German manufacturer. The new M5 will debut on April 19 at Shanghai but expect to see a complete photo gallery earlier, namely this week.

New spy shots became available today when the Germans from BMW decided to run a new set of test behind the steering wheel of the new M5 F10, a model that will be unveiled as a concept at the Shanghai Auto Show in China and most probably, the next time when we’ll see it is at the Frankfurt Auto Show, that time, as a production-ready model.

The new BMW M5 F10 packs the 4.4-liter twin-turbo unit which offers around 555 horsepower but there are some chances to get closer to the 600 horsepower barrier. From these spy shots we can note that the Germans are testing another prototype compared to the latest spy shots, the new blue color telling us this. However, the model is dropping more and more camouflage making the exterior more visible.

Considering that the M5 Concept will be revealed in China, BMW can surprise us and bring a prototype of the new M5 F10 at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.

If you were wondering about the 2012 BMW M5 F10 that will show its face at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, be glad to know that its rendering was finally completed by Gerald Alvarez and we are here to tell you the good piece of news.

Unfortunately, if you were looking for some aggressive tweaks or over the top redesigns, this is not your day, as the rendered BMW M5 is actually similar to what the previous models have brought. Present for duty are the tweaks featured on the M styling such as the lighweight wheels, new bumpers and side vents or the side sills so there’s not much novelty or new ground covered here. But we can safely guess that if somethings works, don’t fix it.

Although the 2012 BMW M5 will be heading for sales next year, it is already known that it will have for a powerhouse the 4.4-litre V8 engine found om the M versions of the X5 and X6. But the M5 sedan will probably have more power to benefit from, probably 594 hp as opposed to the 547 hp that the X5 and X6 have.
