A metal BMW X4 was recently seen in Germany while refueling at a gas station, just before making its public debut at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

The BMW X4 is again in our attention, as it bears a Deep Sea Blue Metallic color with the car receiving the long-awaited xLine kit. The kit will cost its customers an additional 1,400 Euros or 2,200 Euros, for the type of engine chosen.

Inside, the BMW X4 comes with a mixed of leather and fabrics, along with some stiches in contrast colors. The body receives some aluminum features along with 18-inch alloys.

The model X4 lineup will have different prices. The cheapest BMW X4 will be the xDrive20d with 45,600 euros, while the next in keen xDrive28i will have a price of 51,700 euros.

Then follows its bigger xDrive30d for 55,100 euros, accompanied by the top model Xdrive35d, for which you will have to come up with 60,100 euros.

The BMW X4 will be launched officially at the 2014 New York Auto Show, in April, where the German luxury car will be detailed in full.

The 2014 Geneva Motor Show was the host of the facelifted BMW X3, making its world debut.

Even if the version was first seen in spied shots some time ago, the BMW X3 has officially made its debut at the 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show.

The updated version of the X3 comes with some important tweaks like new bumpers and headlights, redesigned side mirrors and different grille, along with new fresh alloy wheels and much more.

Inside the cabin, the X3 facelift received a new upholstery with updated trim, accents in gloss black, as well as an upgraded infotainment system with a completely new iDrive controller.

The fresh X3 comes with updates for the xDrive18d and the xDrive20d`s 2.0-liter engines, developing 150 horsepower with 360 Nm of torque, and respectively 190 horsepower and bigger 400 Nm of torque.

Bothe models are equipped with a 6-speed manual and an 8-speed automatic transmission. For the top of the line, xDrive30d, the power comes from a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder unit, developing a great 258 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque.

On the other side, the xDrive35d receives the same engine but with an increase 313 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque. All X3 models run on petrol as optional.

Errare humanum est. It’s the simplest of excuses one would see from somebody making a mistake, be it a friend or a multinational company.

BMW is one of the latter and though they don’t have the attitude that quotes a bit of a cliche, but they did make a mistake on their E70 BMW X5.

Somewhere along the lines, a bunch of such SAVs were produced that may be subject to problems with their power steering systems.

The situation affects the E70 BMW X5 xDrive, but particularly the 35d version. That’s the 3.0 liter force fed diesel engine powered one.

In particular this flaw might be seen on model years ranging under the 2009 and 2012 model years. That’s a big time span and as a result, some 29.800 units in the US are affected by the problem.

As far as we’re able to understand, the root of the issue is the engine belt idler pulley bolt. After a while, this bolt might loosen and, possibly, break with time.

If the bolt becomes worn enough to loosen and break, it will lead to a loss of power steering. If that happens, the problem is quite obvious.

A heavier steering and uncertain moment at the wrong time could end up in leading the driver towards a crash. Despite this, the NHTSA isn’t yet involved in the recall.

BMW have announced that the recall itself will begin early next year and have set up a line for customers to check if their car is affected.

BMW’s success didn’t happen over night and with Audi and Mercedes breathing down their neck it’s not exactly going to keep happening without any reason.

Hard work is key and hard work is what BMW is going to put into their presence at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show.

Apparently, the Bavarians will be filling up the stand with models that have something rather popular these days on the side; fuel economy.

Hybrid vehicles make up a much larger part of the market in Japan than anywhere else in the world so it’s no surprise to see BMW focus on this sort of drivetrain.

To begin with, they’ll be showcasing the F10 BMW 5 Series ActiveHybrid, a fuel sipping version of the company’s glorious 535i.

Mating a 3.0 liter turbocharged inline six cylinder engine with an electric motor and providing a few tweaks to the eight speed automatic gearbox for them to work together makes for quite the result.

A total output of 340 horsepower, 40 more than standard are available while efficiency was improved by around 10 percent at the same time.

Just next to this stand, the Bavarians will be showing off another fuel saving solution, something Japan hasn’t been a fan of.

They will be unveiling a BluePerformance technology version of the BMW X5 xDrive35d. The fuel economy bonus is important but what really matters about this version of the diesel X is the addition of an AdBlue system to clean out the nasty parts of the emissions.

The 2011 Tokyo Motor Show will also include the BMW X1 xDrive20i but that’s not really that much of a revolution on fuel economy but it is a premiere in Japan.
