It seems BMW wants to once again mess around with the Z roadster and make a few significant changes to it before the next generation comes out.

The followup version of the BMW Z4 is expected to come in sometime in 2015. That means its already in development.

That in turn opens up discussion on a whole new load of ideas about the BMW roadster, just like this one, coming in through the grapevine.

Everybody acknowledges that the current generation of the BMW Z4, the E89 as it’s called, has been softened down.

It’s still a great sports car but now it seems to be a whole lot better at the motorway cruise, the city traffic practicality and the whole idea about something called refinement.

With the next one however, BMW is interested in making it sportier, or “more dynamic” as it were. Not really a bad thing at first sight.

When you speak of the details you can’t help but think BMW will once again make it ride incredibly hard, something the first version of the Z4 was known for.

As far as the good news are concerned, BMW’s 2015 Z4 will be getting some interesting changes. They’re talking about the feel and size being changed around.

Talk right now has the hood getting shorter, the engine being moved a little further back towards the center of the car.

With the driving feel and pleasantly quick turn in, a mid-engined sensation could make the Z4 driver. Trouble is, that could also make it less of a BMW.

The BMW 7 Series is, undoubtedly a luxury car, a limousine, a flagship model for the Bavarians and anything else you’d use to describe a status symbol.

Once you start talking about a car like that, you expect it to have a battleship engine and to be built from marble, granite and feature a dashboard built out of solid wood.

Even if it has the dynamic DNA of a BMW, as the 7 Series does, nobody would find your description wrong. Soon that might change.

Reportedly, BMW will use new materials in the construction of the next generation of the 7 Series. Since aluminium is no longer big news in production car lightness, they’ll be opting for carbon fiber.

Carbon fiber is the holy grail of lightweight materials as it has only one disadvantage towards other kinds of materials. It is very expensive. The problem isn’t really in the cost of getting the material but in the time and money that goes into molding it.

Recently however some progress has been made in this area and costs are coming down. It seems that BMW is among the forerunners of this process if they claim they’re going to make carbon fiber available so soon.

2015 is the time stamp of the next gen BMW 7 Series and by then we expect to see the i3 and i8 EVs come in to introduce the new light weight technology appeal of carbon fiber.

All of us that have been hating on EVs have lost this battle. Though they haven’t revolutionized the way we travel, they did bring us this perk.

As we are just getting familiar with the new 5 Series Sedan BMW is announcing the most eagerly awaited version of its mid-size executive car.

The next generation of BMW M5 will take the “horsepower wars” to a next level.

The 2012 BMW M5 will come to the game with a different engine comparing to the last, no longer do you get a 5 liter V10 engine that puts out 507 horsepower but what you get instead will be a 4.4 liter V8 engine with twin turbocharging. This engine isn’t entirely new as it is available on the X5M and X6M already but in the F10 BMW M5 it will be better.

For starters, the output will go up to 570 horsepower and 480 lbs/ft of torque thus enabling it to get from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.4 seconds, 0.3 seconds faster than the previous model, faster then the E63 AMG Mercedes and faster than the Audi RS6. And then, there’s even more good news, the next model will be more fuel efficient and more environmentally friendly. Specifications set by BMW for the next generation of M5 state that this version should be 30% less of a pollution agent.

If these figures are achieved, the next BMW M5 will not only be faster than all it’s rivals but it will also be cleaner as well.
