BMW has a lot of aces under its sleeve, as the Detroit Auto Show is the perfect opportunity for the German luxury car manufacturer to unveil the new fresh M4 F82 in Black Sapphire and Austin Yellow, after revealing the Yas Marina Blue F80 M3.

The images reveal the M4 F82 with an optional M Carbon Ceramic Brakes and the extraordinary double-bubble carbon fiber roof.

There are no other specifications concerning the pricing tags of the BMW M4 F82, but what we know is that the super car will be launched for delivery somewhere this June.

To name some brief specs, the M4 F82 sports a 3.0-liter six-cylinder TwinTurbo engine, delivering 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque from 1850-5500 rpm.

The M4 F82 comes with a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) and reaches 3.9 seconds from 0 to 60 mph. The car also features direct injections, Valvetronic variable valve timing, air-intake system with indirect intercooler.

Concerning the interior, the M4 F82 has front seats inspired by bucket seats, coming with the M logo on seat backrests, a steering wheel with multifunction systems in M Sport leather.

Other than that, the cabin has an anthracite standard roof liner and M door sill finishers, gearshift lever and driver`s footrest.

Since the Lexus RC-F Coupe is the BMW M4`s strongest rival this year, I have decided to put both cars on a short performance test to see if the competition might be so tough.

Let`s have a look under the hood of both cars and see the power inside.

BMW M4 comes with a bi-turbo inline six-cylinder engine, developing a pretty good 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft.

On the other side, Lexus RC-F Coupe counter-attacks with a higher power 5-liter V8, with 480 horsepower and 7300 rpm. The torque of the car will be announced at the Detroit Auto Show. The RC-F Coupe will come with an 8 speed-sport direct shift transmission.

The M4 sports a standard six-speed transmission connected to a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) driveshaft and a mechanical limited-slip differential.

Inside, the M4 has fine touches, sills on the footrest and the doors, with circular instruments and color-contrast stitching.

On the other hand, the Lexus RC-F Coupe resembles the present 2014 IS, but with extra features like performance bucket front seats, reconfigurable gauge cluster and smaller steering-wheel.

The first time when BMW introduced its X1 was about five years ago, at the 2008 Paris Motor Show and only about a year ago the company managed to get the crossover to these shores.

It is high-time that the Bavarian luxury car manufacturer replaced the older X1 with a new model, which would be based on the new plans – in terms of architecture and design – of the company.

Next month, the new-fresh ad redesigned BMW X1 will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, along with the Z4 Pure Fusion Design and also the new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe.

What the new 2014 BMW X1 benefits, is its new accents to the exterior, new technology and a spruced-up interior.

Concerning the exterior, the X1 will have new air intakes and integrated daytime lights at the front end, new wheel and color options available.

Inside, the fresh 2014 BMW X1 receives a new-revised dashboard, some minor trim updates, and the latest ConnectedDrive suite which BMW has installed in order for the passengers to be updated with all the information and the news that are taking place in the world at the moment of driving.

Over the past months, information about the BMW 2 Series has slowly trickled unto the internet, and the car that is taking shape has plenty promise.

With the official unveiling at the Detroit Auto Show next month, the Bavarian car maker let slip one more piece of the puzzle.

It seems that the BMW 2 Series Coupe, the model that is set to replace the 1 Series Coupe, will cost a bit more than the 1er. A comparison between the base models of each reveals that the BMW 228i is $33.025, some $1.500 more that the 1 Series. At the top end, namely the 235i, there is only a $500 difference compared to the 135i.

While the BMW 2 Series Coupe will certainly be a nice exhibit at the Detroit Auto Show, it is not the biggest attraction there. Not even for BMW, since they are planning to bring the M3 and M4, a couple of vehicles much more coveted. As for an M variant of the 2 Series, we have yet to hear anything, so, for now at least, we’ll have to make due with the M Performance parts.
