BMW has been heavily testing the upcoming BMW M2, preparing it for its final debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, this October, but it seems that the German carmaker is already planning a hotter version of the M2, dubbed the M2 CSL. In fact, the sports car is likely to debut next year.

There isn`t much to know about the 2016 BMW M2 CSL, except for the fact that the model will come with an extremely lightweight architecture and a more evolutionary design, which will lead the way to other CLS versions.

An inside source from BMW has also stated that the BMW M2 CSL will be one of the most extreme BMWs that have ever seen the daylight, the sports car representing the embodiment of innovation and high-performance.

Apart these poor statements, there are no full details concerning the body design, interior, powertrain under the hood, or the performance figures. We still hope for more info until the end of the year.

Play Station 4 has welcomed the fresh new Vision Gran Turismo into the latest edition of the well-known video game Gran Turismo 6.

The BMW Vision Gran Turismo sports car has been developed by the company`s design group, taken its inspiration from the M235i Racing car.

Apart from the game side, we are talking about the great BMW Vision Gran Turismo real car that has received a new front and rear spoilers, carbon fiber air conduction parts that is supposed to reduce drag.

More than that, the real BMW Vision Gran Turismo is powered by a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder unit, developing 549 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque.

All the power of the BMW Vision Gran Turismo is hooked to a 6-speed sequential transmission that sends the power to a rear-wheel drive system.

BMW is not your garden variety car maker, a fact proven not just by their sales figures, but also by their variety of models and their success.

They go so far as to even create vehicles for the virtual world only, more specifically, for the Gran Turismo 6 video game.

In charge of the project was BMW Group Design, and the result was recently presented to the world. Bearing the name BMW Vision Gran Turismo, the virtual racer has all the feature becoming of a true BMW, with inspiration drawn from the latest of their models, with emphasis on the 2 Series.

The German manufacturer even went so far as to provide full specs for the virtual car, with the 3.0 liter M TwinPower Turbo engine churning out some 541 Hp and 680 Nm. The weight is 1.180 kg, a low number helped achieved by numerous carbon fiber trims. The end result is so good, you almost wished this was a real model. Unfortunately, you can only enjoy the BMW Vision Gran Turismo on Playstation 3.
