BMW pulled the wraps off the 3-Series M Sport Style Edge edition, a model that will be sold exclusively in Japan. According to the company, they will produce only a limited number of 330 units, each of them coming with special styling tweaks.

At the exterior, BMW offers the M Sport Package as well as 18-inch Ferric Grey alloy wheels, Alpine White and Mineral Grey exterior finishes and revised black front grille.

This BMW 3-Series M Sport Style Edge edition is based on the 320 model which has 184 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. You can get either the diesel or the petrol version, the latter being available with xDrive too.

Inside the cabin, the special edition, which celebrates 40 years of existence for the model, has stainless steel pedals, piano black inserts, seats wrapped in black leather and Pearl Gloss Chrome trim.

For now, BMW released no details about the possibility of a global variant of this special edition. In conclusion, if you want to get your hands on one, you have to get it from Japan. Pricing details are also not available at this moment.

BMW decided that is the appropriate time to introduce a new special edition for the current 3 Series (E90) model. The new model is called the Carbon Sport Edition and will be exclusively available in the Netherlands. Under the bonnet, the German model will get only six-cylinder engines coupled to automatic transmissions.

At the exterior, the new BMW 3 Series Carbon Sport Edition gets a new set of 19-inch alloy wheels but also the M Sport package which brings in the spotlight some revised components such as the front and rear bumpers, side skirts and more.

At the interior, the customers will enjoy a pair of leather seats along with GPS navigation, a high-performance Harman Kardon audio system, a new M Sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and an automatic climate control system.

At this point you will ask us why the model is called Carbon Sport when it has no carbon fiber parts. Well, we don’t know exactly as the company said nothing about this, but it could be the exterior finish known as Carbon Black. BMW will produce only 150 units of this special edition with prices starting from €49,995 (sedan) and €51,995 (touring).

Here are some extra details about the newest special edition dedicated to the current-generation BMW M3. We previously talked on this subject but today we will get deeper into the details as the new “Carbon Racing Technology” package brings a little bit more than the previous special editions revealed by BMW, mainly for the Chinese market. Another interesting decision was to bring these advanced improvements to the Sedan version of the current M3, a right move if we consider the feedback of the fans.

As you probably remember from the first post, the new BMW M3 CRT comes with a reworked version of the 4.4-liter V8 unit able to deliver 450 horsepower, an increase of 30 horses over the standard M3. The transmission is the seven-speed M Dual Clutch (M-DCT), the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h being now possible in 4,4 seconds while the top speed is 290 km/h.

In terms of styling, the new BMW M3 CRT comes with a new hood and roof made of lightweight carbon fiber. The twin kidney grilles are blacked out while in the rear we can notice the lid spoiler and the titanium exhaust system. Using carbon fiber for the new components is not a random decision, the total weight of the model being reduced by around 45 kilograms comparing to the standard BMW M3 E90.

The exterior appearance is completed by a new set of 19-inch aluminum wheels with 245/35 and 265/30s tires. In order to ensure optimum safety, BMW fitted the German model with a high-performance braking system with 378 x 32mm (front) and 380 x 28mm (rear) brake discs. At the interior, BMW decided to mount new front carbon fiber seats alongside a modified rear seat, aluminum trim and door sills.

Of course, such modifications will increase the price tag, the new BMW M3 CRT which will be manufactured in 67 units being priced at €130,000 including VAT. Watch the following video released by BMW to make yourself a better idea on this package.

BMW seems to be on a roll with the releases of limited or special edition models. After just releasing the M3 Frozen Edition in South Africa, now it is time for the People’s Republic of China to celebrate BMW’s 25th anniversary of the M 3 Series. And since it’s the year of the tiger in China, what name could be more fiting than the big cat itself?

When you look at the BMW M3 Tiger you will be drawn by the Fire Orange metallic coat of paint, probably to resemble a tiger, but without the characteristic stripes. In their place, you will see black kidney grills, air intakes and also some chromed exhaust tips. The BMW M3 Tiger also features black 19-inch wheels and a Tiger Edition logo on the sill plates of the door.

But BMW didn’t focus just on the exterior elements. The orange color is also present on the interior, though taking the form of the stiching of the black leather. The tiger will also be present on the headrests.

A good thing is that the BMW M3 Tiger edition will be available in 300 units. No official prices have been released yet.
