BMW decided to celebrate the M5’s 30th anniversary with a special edition called “30 Jahre M5”. We’ve seen it for the first time earlier this year at the 2014 M Festival but now, we get to see it again. The German carmaker decided to put it on display at one of their Abu Dhabi dealerships.

The BMW M5 30 Jahre M5 edition stands out thanks to the Frozen Dark Silver exterior finish, new 20-inch alloy wheels, special badges inside and out as well as Merino leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts.

What we find under the hood is also impressive as the standard 4.4-liter V8 engine received a major boost.

It is now capable to deliver 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, enough to make this model the most powerful BMW model, according to the company.

The 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in 3,9 seconds while the top speed of 305 km/h can be obtained if you opt for the well-known M Driver’s Pacakge, an optional extra available for many years now.

The BMW M5 “30 Jahre M5” Edition was launched in only 300 units worldwide and 30 of them being set for the United States market.

The good news is that the last BMW M5 “30 Jahre M5” Edition was seen in the United States at the BMW of North America, the sports car coming in the BMW`s Individual Frozen Dark Silver metallic paintjob.

The high-end sports car was seen at Laurel BMW of Westmont dealership, waiting for that particular BMW customer that would pay a rough $138,275, including the destination and handling fee, after the other 29 units being sold out here within minutes.

Under the hood, the BMW M5 “30 Jahre M5” Edition is coming with a powerful enough unit, set to develop a great 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.

With this kind of power and throttle, the BMW M5 “30 Jahre M5” Edition is able of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

Inside, the sports car will sport the “30 Jahre M5” lettering on the front door sill finishers, with the logo also to be embroidered into the backrests of all seats.

BMW released details on the new M5 “30 Jahre M5”, a model which comes to celebrate 30 years for the iconic model.

With only 300 units in mind, BMW fits the new model with a special Individual Frozen Dark Silver finish, 20-inch alloy wheels with 265/35 ZR20 (front) and 295/30 ZR20 (rear) tires, dark chrome inserts and also the Competition Package.

It brings a lowered suspension (10mm) improved anti-sway bars and a reivsed M Dynamic Mode. Power is offered by a 4.4-liter V8 powerplant capable to deliver 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, namely 40 horses more than the stock model.

The special edition BMW M5 is now capable to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,9 seconds when linked to the seven-speed DCT. Top speed remains at 250 km/h but can be improved to 305 km/h thanks to the M Driver’s Package.

At the interior, the Germans provide Alcantara trim, Merino leather and aluminum inserts. You will also get a set of special badges just to remind that you got the “30 Jahre M5”.
