BMW is launching a new limited edition package that will bring in the front some exclusive features for the current Z4 E89 generation. The new Design Pure Balance package as it is called, has been recently introduced by the Germans at the Geneva Motor Show.

Choosing the new Design Pure Balance package you will get the a Mineral White metallic exterior paint, the model in photos being fitted with this new paint. The new Mineral White paint is not the only option, BMW offering a wide range of colours together with the new package.

With the sale date set for the middle of this year, the new BMW Z4 Design Pure Balance comes with some interior improvements too. Inside you will get seats fitted with stylish Cohiba Brown leather and Lotus White stitching. Fineline Anthracite trims are also available on the doors and dashboard, the upper part of the dashboard being wrapped in Cohiba Brown leather.

Pricing for the new Design Pure Balance is not available for now but more details are expected soon.

Shortly after the Geneva Motor Show where the Performance Package will be fully revealed, you will be able to order an upgrade kit for your 1 Series or 3 Series, a kit which consists of few mechanical improvements that will finally result into more horsepower amount and also a better sprint.

For the beginning, BMW will offer the Performance Package for the 120d and 320d, extra 20 horsepower and 40 Nm of torque being delivered by the 2.0-liter engine which offers in standard 177 horses, if we talk about the 1 Series.

Talking about the BMW 320d, you can opt for the same improvements able to boost the power to around 200 horses, mainly thanks to a revised ECU unit, an improved soft namely and some other minor changes. The Germans didn’t revealed any other details on the new Performance Package but according to the first details the 520d is also very likely to benefit from this package.

Expected probably at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the Germans revealed a teaser where we can subtle admire the new ConnectedDrive concept which follows to be fully unveiled soon. This German concept comes also as an anniversary one, the automobile industry celebrating this year “125 years of the automobile”.

Also, BMW has quite enough reason to consider welcome the ConnectedDrive concept as they unveiled many systems related to connected driving such as the iPod system in 2004 and the on-board internet access later in 2008.

In this case, the BMW ConnectedDrive concept is expected to bring even more innovative in-car systems beside the ones already available. According to the official press release, we expect a very futuristic model, a vehicle which will revolutionise driving in terms of infotainment but also safety, a base for the incoming future BMW models, as the German officials state. We expect more detailed teasers to be revealed ahead of the Geneva Motor Show where we assume it will be unveiled.
