BMW 3-Series is considered one of the hottest models from the carmaker`s lineup, with millions of vehicles to be sold worldwide, but even so, a few have appreciated the styling of the Touring, otherwise regarded as a dull and ugly version.

Even so, in the hands of the right turners, this ugly car can become a really appreciated model. This is what actually happened when the German folks over Tunningsuche shop have taking it for a real make over.

We are dealing here with a body styling treatment, the 3-Series Touring receiving the hot Satin Canyon Copper body wrap, highlighted by the stitched leather mirror caps, standout aero parts with M Performance components, custom rear diffuser, all complemented by the 20-inch BBS CI-R alloy wheels.

The BBS CI-R alloys are wrapped in ContiSportContact rubbers, sized 225/35-20 and 255/3—20 front and rear, adding the KW DCC Plug&Play coil-over suspension system which adjusts the car`s ride height. All these provide the model with a better handling and greater stance on the roads.

Heading under the hood, the technicians from Tuningsuche have added a special power kit which raises the car`s power from 245 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque to a good 316 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately, the tuner has not yet released the performance figures.

BMW is heavily testing its latest editions on the tracks at Nurburgring, like the recently spied 2016 BMW 3-Series Touring. The spy shots were provided by the same Auto Gespot, which has also informed us about the BMW M2 or the 1-Series Sedan facelift.

The new 2016 BMW 3-Series Touring is actually a facelift of the present model and will come with some body style tweaks as well as improved performance features. The cabin of the model has been also slightly revised, being offered with some new trims and gizmos, like the updated iDrive Touch Controller.

In terms of styling, the 2016 BMW 3-Series has been fitted with the new LED headlights and taillights, revised front and rear bumpers, while the kidney grille has also received some slight changes. In terms of performance, all versions of the 2016 BMW 3-SeriesTouring will benefit the new suspension tuning system, or other optional equipment.

But perhaps the most interesting and important updated carried out on the 2016 BMW 3-Series Touring is the plug-in hybrid versions it will come with, like the 328e or the 330e, powered by a gasoline four-cylinder unit and an electric motor, which generate an overall of 245 horsepower. These particular versions will also come with a fuel-efficiency of just 2.1 liters per every 100 km.

The other versions from the 3-Series Touring facelift will come with the fresh B47 four-cylinder diesel turbo, fitted on the 316d, the 318d or the 320d. On the other side, the B57 six-cylinder diesel will be postponed until the launch of the 7-Series model.

BBM Motorsport reveals a quite comprehensive tuning package for the E91 BMW 3 Series Touring, namely for the 330d version. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit is capable to produce 274 horsepower and 859Nm of torque, a boost of 43 horses.

The additional power is available thanks to a new air filter, a Supersprint exhaust system, new piping and a revised ECU unit.

In terms of styling, BBM Motorsport provides a new set of 19-inch BBS alloy wheels, a matte red foil wrap, smoked optical blocks and a gloss black front grille.

The German car also sits on a revised KW Street Comfort coilover suspension which improves the ride. Entering the cabin you will find new digital speed display system and matte red trim to match the exterior styling.

Pricing and availability details for BBM Motorsport’s new tuning kit were not released yet.

The well-known partnership between BMW and the local German police is getting stronger and stronger.

The German car maker officially announced that a new fleet of models, namely 3 Series Touring and X3 vehicles, has been delivered to the law enforcement.

Of course, these units were fitted with all the necessary equipment such as LED identification lights, flashing light, radio station, BMW iDrive and much more.

At the exterior, both models get the distinctive two-color finish, the blue flashing light and other minor improvements.

“We are proud that in the coming years, the new BMW models will serve the police service in Bavaria. BMW emergency vehicles not only provide security aspects, but also the latest technology for maximum quality and reliability,” says the car maker.

These new vehicles will join the already existent BMW 3 Series and 5 Series sedan which are currently used by the local police.
