BMW is notorious for showing up in different ads like the one revealing the i8 hybrid at the 2014 Sochi Olympics or in the US with different models.

It is also the case of its famous X5, which was recently seen in the newest vid showing the vehicle under the name “Respect”, and “the brilliant mind”, relating to the age that the car has had on the roads so far.

As for the video shown below, it is up to you to realize that it is worthy of the “respect” that we might want to share it with you.

To be a reminder, the 2014 BMW X5 is at its third-generation, being officially unveiled in May last year. In the US, the X5 received its go ahead ever since November, 2013, with three initial engines.

The X5 took off with a V8 petrol engine and 450 hp for the xDrive50i, the xDrive30d with 258 horsepower and finally the M50d M Performance, developing 381 hp.

Meanwhile, more models were introduced into the market, like the xDrive40d, the xDrive25d and the sDrive25d.

The new generation of X5 enhances two transmissions, a 6-speed automatic and an 8-speed automatic. Enjoy the video!

Until the Bavarians give us an M division prepped BMW X6 with a diesel engine, Senner Tuning is ready to offer a special take on the xDrive40d.

The German tuner stuck to the basics of car tuning as they went over the BMW X6 xDrive40d and upgraded only what was necessary rather than what wasn’t modified.

This is why the Senner Tuning BMW X6 xDrive40d gets some rather discrete visual changes and a bit of a tune-up to the engine.

On the visual side, the body kit is made up of new components, most of which seem to resemble the BMW Performance line.

It seems that the BMW X6 xDrive40d will resemble the X6 M a little but not too much. Also, the SAV will get some cute details like the twin subtle rear spoilers.

The body and rear diffuser are now painted in Alpine White whereas the lower outline of the X6 is finished in a dark black, just like the 22 inch multi-spoke Hamann Anniversary EVO Black Line wheels.

When it comes to power, the 3.0 liter straight six cylinder engine now develops 336 horsepower 490 lb-ft, a bump of 10% over standard output.

The final touch from Senner Tuning comes in terms of handling tweaks; the new wheels are wearing Continental Sport Contact 5P tires and a set of Bilstein B8 shocks and springs are making sure they stay in contact with the ground as much as possible.

Everything about the BMW X6 xDrive40d in terms of appeal sounds interesting and on top of it all, the pricing isn’t too bad. The entire package costs just under 35.000 dollars.

The Republic of Ireland is getting the new BMW X5 in an updated look both concerning the design package and the performance one (and might we add, lower emissions). BMW fans from the country couldn’t be happier and are sure to welcome the new changes with open hands and a smile on their faces.

Regarding the changes made to the car’s exterior, these are designed to show a more athletic look, with new front bumpers featuring bigger vents so that both the engine and brakes will get more air. Other features include new vent fins and lower scuff plates, new xenons and fog lights, bigger tail pipes and a new rear bumper coupled with horizontal LED lights.

Regarding performance, the BMW X5 features three engines, the xDrive30d (245 hp, taking the car from 0 to 62 mph in 7.4 seconds and has a 7.4 litre/100km consumption), xDrive40d and the xDrive50i. All three engines are EU 5 compliant. A standard eight-speed auto transmission will be supplied. New entries are also available on the standard equipment list such as the leather interior, Servotronic steering.

The new BMW X5 has a 76,580 euro price tag.

Yes, as you can see in the title, BMW X5 & BMW X6 are about to come with another model namely the xDrive40d. I would like to remind you at the beginning that BMW also built a version for these cars namely the BMW X5 M and also BMW X6 M.

Getting back to our BMW X5 & BMW X6 xDrive40d, I have to tell you that it comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter straight six engine which can also be found on the BMW 7 Series Sedan. Also, this engine can develop up to 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 442 lb-ft.

You should also know that one of the competitors is the Mercedes ML 450CDI and even if I don’t like to recognize this and I’m to the BMW’s part, the Mercedes is a little bit more powerful than the BMW X5 and the BMW X6 sDrive40d.
