We rarely had the pleasure of seeing the BMW Z8 involved in tuning projects, but now, the technicians from Wheels Boutique company have decided to spicy up the car`s personality with a new set of wheels from HRE tuner.

We are looking here at an exquisite roadster which used to turn a lot of heads around 17 years ago, the model coming on the market in 2000 and being appreciated as BMW`s most exquisite and fastest roadster on the roads.

Now that it has received the HRE wheels from the prestigious wheel tuner, the BMW Z8 looks extremely appealing and aggressive at the same time. Besides that, there weren’t any serious modifications that would alter its stock personality.

In the engine department, the model came out with a massive 4.9-liter 32 valve V8 engine, with a killer performance of 400 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, which for those times was quite impressive.

This translated into a mind-blowing sprint for a roadster. We are looking here at just 4.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, at a top speed of 250 km/h, which could be raised later on to 300 km/h.

The model didn’t come cheap at all, coming with a price tag of $128,000 for which you could easily get a Porsche 911 Turbo or even better, an E39 M5. Even so, it was and still is a fun to drive convertible, which highlights BMW`s ultimate benchmark in terms of engineering.

It has been a while since we last heard of the gorgeous and hot-looking BMW M4 Convertible receiving aftermarket parts from a tuning company, but recently, this cabrio has popped-up online with new tweaks from Schmidt Revolution tuning company.

The model in question is standing out from the crowd with a new wrap, in the shape of the Daytona Grey colour, also seen on the BMW M4 Coupe. The new wrap perfectly matches the car`s styling bits.

The new styling package involves carbon fiber parts, like carbon fiber trims, updated front and rear bumpers, side sills, as well as the new exhaust system with carbon fiber end pipes, commissioned from Friedrich Motorsport tuner.

Mechanically, the technicians from Schmidt Revolution have also added the Lowtec springs which lower the car`s ride height for improved stance and increase driving dynamics, along with ceramic brakes and the new wheels.

The wheels look hot on the model in question. We are dealing here with the new and flow forged wheels, measuring 10.5 x 20-inch with 265/30 Michelin Sport tires at the front, and 11.5J x 21-inch with 305/25 tires at the front.

In the engine department, the engineers have decided to leave the stock engine intact, but on request, they can also bring a power boost as well, Schmidt Revolution tuner working closely with other aftermarket shops that are specialized in power upgrades, including Dahler or G-Power. Speaking of the latter, the tuner has recently added its special Bi-Tronik V2 ECU power module on a BMW M2 Coupe, with more than 450 horsepower. For the M4 Coupe and Convertible however, the power could range between 530 horsepower and 600 horsepower.
