The track-only BMW M6 GT3 is popping-up in our news again, the racer being recently delivered to Turner Motorsport. We are dealing here with two cars which will compete in different championships around the world.

The Turner Motorosport`s Markus Palttala driver, who was recently awarded the second BMW privateer driver in the entire world, will drive the #97 BMW M6 GT3, along with co-driver Michael Marsa, in the 2016 IMSA Wheathertech SportsCar Championship.

The team`s second driver Bret Curtis, will be behind the #96 BMW M6 GT3, alongside BMW Factory driver Jens Klingmann. The car`s first debut will be however, at the Rolex at Daytona, starting the 30th of January.

Besides Turner Motorsport, there are also other several teams to have received the BMW M6 GT3. We are talking here about German team Schubert Motorsport, with two GT3s racing at the Nurburghing 24 Hours.

The second largest team to get its hands on other two BMW M6 GT3s is Lowe Racing, which will compete at the same Nurburgring 24 Hours, followed by Blancpain GT, Spa 24 Horus or the FIA GT World Cup.

Under the hood, the BMW M6 GT3 is powered by an upgraded 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V8 unit, which develops 500 horsepower and “impressively high-torque”.

The F80 BMW M3 is popping up in our news again, this time the sports car being the subject of a special program carried out by the famous aftermarket specialists from the Turner Motorsport tuning company, who deal with performance upgrade programs.

The F80 BMW M3 has received an AFE air intake kit, which revives the true spirit of the sports car, by decreasing the intake air temperatures in the car and reducing the “power-robbing drag”. This would give it a power boost and a more aggressive sound as well. BMW Blog has provided us with some additional information about the new AFE air intake kit by Turner Motorsport.

The new air intake kit installed on the F80 BMW M3 includes the Dual CAD-Designed Roto-Molded Intake Tubes, the Built-In Sight Windows Provides Easy Inspection of Filters without Disassembly, Dual One-Piece Sealed Housings with Auxiliary Air Scoops, Dual CAD-Designed Roto-Molded Intake Tubes or the Filter-to-Housing Interface for Easy Installation and more.

Apart the basic features mentioned above, the air intake kit also includes the Unique One-Piece Housings, the Roto-mold Tubes with the CAD design, the Large 3-Layer “Oil-Free” Performance Air Filters, the Large 5-Layer Performance Air Filters, the later two features using three- and five-layers progressive finer mesh cotton media for improved performance.

The F22 BMW 228i Coupe is the perfect BMW car to be customized, since it comes with a small chassis and very convenient body components to be fitted. And aftermarket specialists like Turner Motorsport have come up with their own upgrade programs. But this time, the only thing that this 228i Coupe has received is the power increase under the hood, apart the slight body changes.

The F22 BMW 228i Coupe has been thus fitted with the N20 four-cylinder 2.0 turbo engine, with 240 horsepower and 345 Nm of torque, enough to send the sports car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds. But the mods involved in the power boost include the Valvetronic and Double Vanos configurations, or the BMW`s precision direct injection.

The F22 BMW 228i Coupe is also agile thanks to its styling dimensions, even if it is 200 lbs heavier than the 3-Series model. The comparison with the 3-Series is pretty obvious, both models coming with a 105.9-inch wheelbase.

Thus, the 228i Coupe is also coming with a 50/50 weight distribution, which provides more grip, greater stance as well as high-precision handling and steering.

All these are also possible thanks to the modified front and rear suspensions, the first one receiving the double pivot spring strut. No price tags have been announced for this project car.
